Yoshi's has served Japan's best traditional dishes to Bay Area patrons since 1972. The menu highlights artfully arranged sushi, fresh grilled seafood, classic Japanese dishes, and vegetarian fare. Patrons can kick off their shoes in the traditional Japanese tatami seating or dine at tables. Expert sushi chefs create sushi and sashimi to order either in the restaurant or in the jazz house. Start the evening in the cocktail lounge before dinner or have a nightcap after taking in a show in the jazz house.

    Food was good, wait service was good, well lit dining area, quite roomy, no one seated against others. Very mature and eclectic patrons. Bathrooms clean. The overall experience was excellent and my wife and I are already making plans to return monthly going forward. This is one of if not the last premier spot for a classy dining experience and the live entertainment jazz set was the cherry on the top of a wonderful evening spent at Yoshi’s.

    We frequently dine there before attending shows. We've tried various items on the menu, and have never been disappointed. The waitstaff is very attentive. The taste and quality of the food is great. The servers are knowledgeable of the menu. We will continue to frequent Yoshi's restaurant

    We had a great dining experience. The service was fast and courteous. The food was excellent as always. It got really busy by the time we were done, but we were going to the show so the timing was perfect.

    Yoshi’s never disappoints! The food is excellent with a unique menu. The service is incredibly attentive and surprisingly fast given the rush of pre-show guests. It’s priced accordingly but worth every penny. It’s loud when at full capacity but lively and fun.

    Exquisite date night location and wonderful experience that included fantastic seafood dinners! Our server Leo was gracious and extremely helpful, anticipating everything we needed - many thanks to Leo! Dinner was followed by an amazing concert with a surprise and unforgettable classical piano performance! In fact, the entire Yoshi’s experence was unforgettabl and we plan to return again and again and again real soon!
