Yoshi's has served Japan's best traditional dishes to Bay Area patrons since 1972. The menu highlights artfully arranged sushi, fresh grilled seafood, classic Japanese dishes, and vegetarian fare. Patrons can kick off their shoes in the traditional Japanese tatami seating or dine at tables. Expert sushi chefs create sushi and sashimi to order either in the restaurant or in the jazz house. Start the evening in the cocktail lounge before dinner or have a nightcap after taking in a show in the jazz house.

    We celebrated M mother’s Day at Yoshi‘s Oakland. Beautiful ambience, delicious quality food stuff was excellent. We even had some entertainment watching the train passing through the street every half an hour or so. Was really neat!

    We really enjoyed our meal of a rainbow roll and edamame and gindara and a pork chop. My only issue was the entrees were brought out too quickly when we were still finishing the sushi roll and the table was crowded. The service was friendly and we got great seats at the show

    Yoshi’s never disappoints. The food and the ambiance are always on point. The entertainment is consistently first rate. Everyone should treat themselves to a night out at Yoshi’s.

    I love the food at Yoshi's. When deciding where to hear music on any given night, the quality of the restaurant is a positive incentive. Lots of new staff, which can be challenging, but our waiter, who had only been employed at the restaurant for 2 months, was very accommodating. The food has never disappointed.
