We were there for our annual company Christmas dinner. Our server was great and food was stellar. We had 2 guests with food allergies (nut/dairy), one pescatarian and one vegan. Everyone was able to enjoy appetizers, dinner and dessert. It was wonderful to be able to order dessert and not have to worry abt nuts. Our server was very attentive and addressed our food allergy issues very well. Wonderful experience
My visit this past weekend, Sat., 12/7 was to see Roy Ayers. I love Mr. Ayers and his music! He's up in age now but so grateful that he is still performing...his band really helps him push through! They were awesome!!
The dinner prior to the show was a little underwhelming. Our server, Khalil (sp?) was nice but he overlooked our table a couple of times until another server mentioned it to him. He became a little more attentive but we were done with our meal and ready to head to the concert. I appreciate his effort but wished it was from start to finish.
My friend and I ate sushi rolls and drank Japanese beer prior to the show. The service was very good, the food was delicious and we had a great time!
kitchen was overwhelmed by crowd as 3 in our party received their food after the rest of the party had finished. Waiter was to be commended as he caught and brought to cardholders attention that he had over tipped as tip was included in bill. Always a good spot for an evening out.
Always excellent! Always enjoyable! Always delicious food!
Service was slow. Food prep and menu has been better in the past.
Yes, nice restaurant. Good club except you need a workflow when there are two musical shows. The first audience needs to exit out, buy merchandise, etc., but not while the second show is entering. It's too chaotic but you already know this. Good sound, nice ambiance...
The kitchen was very quick to turn out the food, but the whole process seemed very rushed. Many were attending the show at 7:30 (we had a 6:30 reservation) and we made it clear that we were not attending, but wanted to have a leisurely meal with an old friend. We were finished with our appetizers, salads and entrees before 7... Not what we expected. in between the waiter seemed very rushed and was not very accommodating. Despite the mediocre service, the food (especially the appetizers and the Halibut and Salmon dishes) was excellent and nicely presented.
Expensive, but really good food and service. Some of the wait staff could be more friendly although our main waitress was really nice.
Delicious food. Excellent service. Great performance.
A night out at Yoshi's is the best of both worlds, delicious food and world class Jazz (and other music).
The menu offers a wide variety of small plates so there is something for everyone. There's not a bad seat in the club, and every seat was taken for both shows.
An added plus-at least for us women--the men's bathroom line was at least 5 times longer than the women's--the ONLY place I've ever experienced this!!!
Four of us enjoyed dinner and a show. The food was mixed from excellent to overcooked fish. Interestingly my wife got a small portion of overcooked halibut that was way overpriced. My friend got a large portion of halibut that was cooked perfectly. The black cod was excellent and the 4 scallops were ok with a wimpy sauce. Brussel sprout and green salad appetizers were very good. The wine sucked for $50/bottle.
Great venue to hear jazz and other music formats. Very cool vibe. Restaurant is mostly sushi based and is surprisingly first class plus you get reserved seating if you dine there. All aspects of the operation are top notch - very well run A real treasure.
Our first experience at Yoshi's was fantastic. We will definitely go back. The food was top-flight, especially given our expectations of previous jazz club venues.
We always have such a wonderful time at Yoshi’s. They have great food and friendly attentive servers.
Yoshi’s is a lovely place to dine. The service was good and I was surprised to see a couple of vegetarian/vegan entree options. The Vegetarian Lovers was very hearty and flavorful. The tofu was too soggy for my taste. But overall a great vegetarian option. The Brussel sprouts are always an excellent choice.
This was our first time coming to Yoshi's. The whole experience from the moment we walked in the door was first class!!!! The food ,service and everyone involved was amazing and helpful.
I WILL be telling all my friends to come here !!!!
The Spinners were very mighty !!!
GREAT GREAT JOB !!!!
Bring one to Sonoma county??
Great decor, server Steven was pleasant, food was average and not worth the price. If I ever went back, I’d stick to sushi.
There is no better way, to enjoy a show at Yoshi's !! Every time I go to a show there, I will always go to dinner. It just makes it so convenient to have dinner and relax before the show. You don't have to rush or stand in long lines to get a good seat at the event. They get you set up with good seats, so all you do in walk in and enjoy the show. The food is consistently outstanding, and the drinks are awesome. The check in process for the diner tables is fantastic!! The hostess are always so friendly and accommodating.. If you have never gone, you will not be disappointed. Yoshi's, the place for Live Jazz and Classic entertainment, and a great dinner. Great "Date Nite" location...
We came to have dinner and to see the Spinners. I asked my wife out on a date and she had no clue where we were going until we were around the corner. Still not knowing who we were seeing until shortly after our first cocktail before dinner. How fun. Lena, our server, was delightful , attentive , professional and fun. She really made us feel special.
Then, the Spinners were incredible! I saw them 52 years ago popping up out of the stage at Disneyland. The band has changed with age, the music is still magical.
We did recommend to friends! They actually joined us for dinner before the concert.
Took over an 30 minutes to get seated even with reservations, then after ordering our food they forgot a roll , and when I told the waiter , he said it would be right out .. 15 minutes later still no roll .. very upsetting
We had a great time but it was a little loud
Great waiter who kept us right on time for the concert
Great food, great service, great intimate music venue. Guaranteed fun evening.
Decent overall good
Amazing service !!!!!
The menu has change and I ordered something that wasn't good
First we hit the bar and the bartenders were very knowledgeable and patient. My niece didn't know what to order and they helped her get a good drink.
Our service was amazing. The food was great and the portions of the food were perfect.
Frank the busser was very attentive and nice. Everything we needed he got for us.
But Steve our server was amazing. All in all we had a great experience and will be back.
Thank you for an Amazing night.
This place feels more and more like a cattle call for dinner before the show. Tons of people show up for the first seating, lots of waiting in line to be shuttled into your seat. Not at all an elegant experience! And if you wait till the line dies down your seating choices dramatically lessen in quality. And the food appears all Helter skelter! In my case all 4 items I ordered came at once including my appetizer and nothing arrived for my date. Very awkward and gives one the feeling that this is more about fast food than true dining. Again felt like we were cattle in a noisy barn
Yoshis was perfect for a bite and drink before the show.
Been here many times before and still a good place for food and entertainment!
Great music and atmosphere. Food is a little overpriced
Though the menu seems pricey the items are pretty generous and everything tastes fresh and delicious. Our meal consisted of the duck confit appetizer roll, lovely calamari with excellent dipping sauce, and one of the 'named' rolls--the Japonese was the one we had. Enjoyed a couple of 16 oz draft beers, reasonable at $8, and we had had enough to eat and drink. Bigger eaters might need another roll or a main to share, but it seems like the kitchen and sushi chefs know what they're doing.
Nice dinner out with a friend
We very much enjoyed our visit to Yoshi's but we were going to sit in the back but the table smelled like someone had peed. We moved up front and the waitress told us that it was actually spilled soy sauce that had fermented. Either way, this should have been taken care of before seating anyone in the back.
Nice venue & good food before the show.
They do a great job, everything that comes out of the kitchen tastes good.
We’ve been to Yoshi’s several times over the 10+ years. We enjoyed our time there. We usually go when Hiroshima plays.
We made reservations for 530, we were seated promptly.
Our server Midiri was very pleasant, somewhat attentive. But you had a packed house so it was understandable.
My husband ordered the salmon... he loved it, not so much the spaghetti squash.
I ordered the shrimp and scallop dish. I had to wait a while for it. In fact my husband had to ask the server to check on my food. My husband got his at least 15 minutes before me. And it was very greasy. I won’t order that again.
Otherwise, we had an enjoyable evening.
