Beautiful and We really enjoyed ourselves a very beautiful place to fall in love forever, I love thy r lights outside the window, love the accommodations
The food is terribly overpriced, for no reason. It was pretty much hit & miss. The appetizers and rolls were good but the chicken entree was terribly dry and everything is way too expensive for the quality. They take advantage of folks wanting to have dinner and a show. Next time we’ll dine elsewhere before the show.
Like Ches Panisse, Yoshi's continues to be a perfect evening, even after all these years. The restaurant is vibrant, food a work of art and the club is intimate and soulful.
Thanks Yoshi! Love you!
Went to Yoshi’s for a concert on Monday night. Reservations were for 7, concert started at 8. Out server tried to make sure we would be done eating in time for the concert, which I appreciated, but was totally pushy about it, which I did not. I felt rushed through the entire meal, and then when he brought the bill before we were completely done eating he didn’t come back for a while to take our payment. I physically watched him do nothing for several minutes, take the card, put it down on the table next to us then watched him do more nothing for a couple more minutes before coming back to pick up the card. As expensive as the food is, and it is high quality so it’s worth it, I would have rather set my own pace for eating.
Yoshi's is always a wonderful place for their jazz programs, and the delicious meals before!
food good, drinks good, service a little slow to serve and too quick to "pick up" (hey, I'm not done with that!).
Incredible food, excellent service. Expensive, but worth the cost.
Always a good experience!
Went to see one of my favorite performers, Madds Tolling, and we decided to have dinner first at Yoshi's Restaurant. The best idea ever as they get you seating in the club prior to dinner being served.
Front and center seating. The food was fabulous and was excellent quality. We later had dessert while watching Madds Tolling perform.
I’m So grateful to management. We were there for a sold out show. My friend tried to get a ticket off the Facebook event page and got scammed. We told the girls at the box office what happened and they checked with their manager and they let her buy a ticket. We were celebrating my friend finishing chemo, so it was amazing they made it happen so we could all be together. Thank you!!!
Great place...salmon perfectly cooked. Our waitress was fantastic.
We had the Black Cod for the first time. We will certainly have it again. It was light and flakey it just melted in your mouth.
Wonderful place, amazing service, and delicious food. We were also seeing a concert and their system for seating after dinner was perfect!!! Great restaurant we will definitely be back!!!!
If your going to go to one of the concerts after your meal, make sure you let them know you want or have the tickets for it, you will get the best seats in the house. Plus its great food anyway!
It was a great meal. The seating for Leo Kotke performance was terrific not a bad seat in the house. Wish he had played a little longer.
Excellent service and fast bringing the food.
Food quality was excellent.
I had a hard time understanding how much I was ordering so I suggest that you order a couple of dishes at a time
The booths are very restrictive and too tight, I was placed in the middle and felt claustrophobic since I could not put my feet on the floor without my legs hitting the two people on either side of me. This made the concert experience less enjoyable. Especially because I did not know the people on one side of me that I was squished up against!
Too expensive for the style of food. The pork was flavorful, but the tempura, miso Caesar etc were just okay. Not likely to return.
Truly unique dining experience ~ we so love this location and concert venue
I really like Yoshi’s. The shows are good, the food is great. The service is pretty good, but the food took forever and we ended up canceling our order. Sushi is always the best bet and is so worth it. But their food menu overall is overpriced in my opinion.
Always a favorite, especially for dinner before the show. The food is great, and so is the sake. 😉
Great food!
Pre dinner show for Omar Sosa Aguas trio. Server was very knowledgeable about menu with regard to dietary restrictions and best value for opportunity to taste sashimi that was special for the evening one of the sashimi dishes we were considering.
The grilled salmon and grilled vegetable platter were excellent! Sushi was delish too. Highly recommend. Our server, Steve was great!
I like Yoshi's , but the food and service can be a bit uneven. But if you are going to the show, dinner res guarantees a great seat!
We had not been to Yoshi's for some time, and enjoyed our return. The food was delicious and the service prompt and courteous. My wife and I shared three dishes. My one complaint is that our entree was served first and our appetizer last.
Everything was perfect, except for the price. It was all a bit expensive.
First time to Yoshi's for dinner and a show. Our server, Robert, is intelligent, funny, kind and very customer service-oriented. We arrived at a busy time, and everyone was polite and helpful. This place has a great vibe. The food is very, very good. I had the scallop/shrimp fritter, and everyone at the table was impressed with the preparation and presentation. I paid scant attention to the other dishes, a little too focused on my own. We had sides of Brussels sprouts and marble potatoes, both of which were fresh and very well prepared.
When you arrive with tickets for the show in hand, they set up your seats in the show venue ahead of time, selecting the best seats available. What a boon. They did a great job, and you feel well taken care of. The show itself? It was David Sanborn, backed up with musicians that are brilliant and joyful.
We will definitely be back.
We love Yoshi's - whenever we go to a concert we have dinner there. So easy. Last time our dinner was just so so but this time it was great again. Love the Tiger Shrimp -- and our waiter was outstanding and so helpful. Long live Yoshi's.
Duck confit egg rolls were outstanding. Our teens loved their virgin cocktails. Sushi rolls were above the usual, very tasty. There for a concert and overall a great night for Dad with our boys.
Best sushi I've had in the east bay. The place was hip and clean. and the show afterwards was incredible.
Great spot for any occasion.
The food and service was great.
However, the noise level in the back room was very high cause by all the customers talking.
We brought our daughter here to celebrate her 18th Birthday. She loves sushi and loves Pancho Sanchez. A win win night. She absolutely loved the place and will now start a new tradition she will carry on.
Thank you Yoshi’s for a memorable evening!
Service was quick and on time. We were seated quickly and service was on time.
Service was fast and friendly, we enjoyed the meal.
Restroom a bit worn out
Food seamed to be fresh, however
my husband suffered severe indigestion, he had the tempura Oysters & the Tempura Shrimp & Scallop dish.
Been a fan since it opened in the Jack London Square area and last night the food and jazz afterward are, as always, incomparable.
Great food, service, and music! Drinks were perfectly made!
We basically love Yoshi's because of the music as well as the food. However, our service was terrible -- I had to ask several times to get the right order. (After a LONG wait, they had brought the wrong entree.) Also, the entree I ordered was disappointing and soggy.
We tried to order creme brulee for dessert, but they told us the restaurant was completely out of the ingredients and so it wasn't on the menu for tonight. That left us time to kill before the performance. Interestingly, during the performance, we were able to order creme brulee, even though we know it all comes from the same kitchen! And, after all that, it was not the best creme brulee we have ever eaten; it was OK.
The music itself was wonderful. We also appreciated that the band gave some youngsters the opportunity to gain some live performance experience while people were shuffling in.
We will go back, but we might consider getting our Sushi somewhere else nearby. The restaurant is also incredibly noisy, so it was impossible to carry on a conversation.
Sushi was sooo so. My fiancé salmon roll had fish bones in it not one but TWO. And as we all know sushi rolls should NEVER have Fish bones in it. That’s a dangerous scenario. All in all i can’t give more then 3 stars for this experience.
Came for a late birthday dinner and had a blast! Wonderful ambiance and the food was so delicious! I definitely recommend the oysters they were amazing. Thanks for a fabulous time!
