I got the swordfish special which I wasn’t too impressed with. The Mac and cheese and beef skewers app were amazing! The best braised short ribs I’ve had have been from here but they’re not always on the menu. I always go to this spot when I’m in South Florida, definitely still a favorite!

Restaurant is busy most nights and as this was a Tuesday it was quite full. Server was attendant and had suggestions at each step. Crab cakes were too soft to the point that they were 'soggy' at the most inside portion. The Branzino was well prepared and nicely seasoned.

Everything was great, except for the party seated next to us who let their dog stand on the table and lick the plates clean. Wait staff didn't seem to mind. I guess they were out of doggie bags...

Saturday evening reservation. Avocado salad was decent, and skirt steak was tender and flavorful (cooked medium rare). The server seemed a bit new/ inexperienced, but service was decent/ good. The bar did not have Wild Turkey 101 or Rittenhouse rye, had Knob Creek instead. Decent value, though portion sizes tend to be small. Food, service, and ambiance were good over-all.

YOLO continues to be our go-to place on Las Olas for business lunches or casual dinners with friends when they’re visiting me in South Florida.

Our dinner this visit included escarole and chicken soup, grilled artichokes, beet salad for starters, and Branzino, crab cakes and skirt steak for main courses. Everything was delicious. Sebastian was our server and he did a great job, was very knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. Most of the wines offered are also served by the glass so it’s easy for everyone to drink exactly what they want.

We continue to be very pleased by the courteous service professionals, vibrant bar area inside and outside, and very reliable food selections and daily specials.

Easy valet parking available is a big plus, but there are plenty of garages close by and limited street parking.

Highly recommend grilled artichokes, pepper poppers to start, beet salad, and Branzino.

Yolo is the best! Great place to have a nice dinner with a good vibe from the people that frequent this establishment. The prime rib was off the hook! I loved it!

I was very disappointed in my most recent visit to Yolo. Over the past several years Yolo was always a "go to" great restaurant. Typically I have enjoyed the "chef's special fish preparation". On my most recent visit the chef's special preparation was Mahi Mahi prepared with a lemon butter, salt and pepper. I thought this was a very lazy preparation... I mean seriously, I could have done that at home?! Obviously they'll recently changed chefs and the new one doesn't have any imagination. I did have the special and I can honestly say it was at best "unimpressive". I will not continue to recommend this restaurant to my friends who are visiting Ft. Lauderdale.
