We love Yokohama. The Sushi is always fresh, and there is a great variety of specialty rolls.
Great Food, great staff, nice bar. Just a lovely place. What more can you ask for??
Enjoyed lunch with our friends, service and food very good. Thanks Yoko!
Hibachi tables closed. Very short staffed. Place was half full but service was still really slow, drinks often empty for 10+ mins, and food took about 30+ mins to come out. 2 hours was way too long to spend there
Was there for my sons last meal in the US but was not happy cause of no Hibachi show
Never disappoints. Consistently fresh.
Always have a great meal and good service!
The food and the service was great. Would definitely go back
Always a great time!
We love it here. Always delicious!
Always a fabulous experience! Love this place, Tuna flatbread is excellent!
First time dining here wait staff very helpful with service, menu and food suggestions. Sushi rolls a bit smaller than other places visited but high quality
Food was delicious and service was excellent. We will definitely return
Great food and service!! Very disappointing that the hibachi tables were not being used. This was not mentioned on Open Table. If you go to the restaurant’s website they do have a notice.
To be cliche, what a hidden gem!!! This place, albeit in a strip mall, exceeded our expectations! The service, with Han, was impeccable. He was so pleasant, had much knowledge and perfect timing, and made our experience absolutely wonderful. The food was excellent, especially the tuna dumplings and rock shrimp.
Loved the fact that they have a full bar, where the tender was killing it whipping up martinis and cocktails. All service was great and speedy, food was fresh and flavorful, and the ambience was nice, with good music at a good level.
Can’t wait to go back!
Service is always good and they're very accommodating. They have the best music soup around. I wish they had pork katsu boxes back.
Yokohama, simply put, is awesome. The food and staff make it our favorite place. They are welcoming, attentive, knowledgeable, and polite it makes it hard to go anywhere else. Tiffany, Jo-Jo, Cindy and Hong are fantastic!!
Yokohama roll is amazing!
This place is good solid food. Love this place!! Always good everything g!!
Had the hibachi - filet and lobster - very tender and delicious. My son had the seafood udon. He loved it. California roll was very fresh and equally delicious. We’ve dined here twice in the last month - that’s how good it is. Service is great - friendly service.
My husband had surprised me for my birthday pre-COVID in 2019 by taking me to Yokohama, and the meal was simply delectable and sublime. This past Wednesday (8/11/21), we thought it would be nice to have a weeknight date and return to Yokohama. Needless to say, it was a very disappointing experience. Both my husband and I love sushi/sashimi and would consider ourselves fine diners, and the food was anything but. Our cocktail drinks were overly garnished and so full of mint that we could not actually enjoy the subtle nuances of the cocktails themselves. Our octopus sushi was cold, rubbery and subpar. Our salmon roe sushi tasted as if the salmon roe came from a tin you can buy at the supermarket, not fresh salmon roe. Our beef sukiyaki yaki was very bland and under seasoned, the beef was 25% overdone, and the vegetables were 25% underdone and very crunchy. The best part of our meal was the Bonsai Tree roll, which was so mild there was almost no flavor and the vinegar based sauce was not acidic enough to brighten the flavors of the sushi roll. Lastly, our Chilean sea bass robataki was paired with a strange peanut sauce that seemed out of place. We were very disappointed with the meal for the price, and it has sadly made me reconsider returning to Yokohama in the future. What I can say very favorably was that our waitstaff was very courteous and attentive. While I certainly understand and respect that COVID-19 has wreaked havoc on the food service industry at large, that is no reason to sacrifice quality. Please return to the level of quality and care at Yokohama I experienced during my first visit.
Everything was delicious. Service was great! We had the lobster and filet hibachi. The filet was soooo tender and delicious. My son had the mixed udon noodle entree - he ate every bite. The sushi we had was amazingly fresh. We had the fried ice cream for dessert which was also yummy. Definitely going to return in the near future.
The food is always fresh and tasty.
Best sushi restaurant in South Jersey. Expertly crafted special rolls, beautifully presented, consistently fresh and delicious. Great ambiance for special events. Servers are attentive and friendly. They practice Covid protocols by spacing out tables and using the hibachi room for sushi diners. We've been coming here for years and have never had a bad meal. I crave Yokohama.
Always an excellent dinner.
Great food. Very fresh and seasoned extremely well. Highly recommend
Yokahama has been my go to sushi and hibachi place for years however on this visit they missed the mark.
Sushi took forever to be served and was overly warm (and I don’t order the fake cooked rolls so warm raw tuna and salmon doesn’t do it for me ) none of the hibachi tables had a cook - all of the food was cooked in the kitchen and brought out- all of which was not their normal quality nor presentation- most was tasteless we will be exploring otger options for our sushi dining in the future
Food was mediocre. They didn’t prepare food on hibachi and when the food came out it didn’t look like a full serving of seafood. The steak was also a little bland. Our waitstaff was phenomenal and courtesy. I will probably not return but instead go to Benihana’s.
Though the Hibachi tables are currently closed, you can order the Hibachi menu and we did. We shared the, thin skinned, steamed pork dumpling appetizer and it was wonderful.
Filled with ginger and subtleties. The soup was surprisingly good with complexity and depth. My partner had the shrimp and I had the scallops. Her shrimp were seasoned well and cooked to a crunchy perfection. My scallops were large and tender with just a hint of lemon. The veggie rice was real good. Her fried banana with ice cream was very lightly fried allowing for a solid banana center with good quality ice cream. I had the fried cheese cake dessert and though you can hear your arteries harden, it was crispy, sweet and deliciously presented with whipped cream and a cherry. I was thankful that the portion, though ample, was no larger than it was. I would have eaten it!!!
We were tended to by no less than 3 servers who were polite and efficient. You can't go wrong with Yokohama!
It’s nice but I would have like hibachi. It’s not up yet, but it would have been nice. Otherwise everything was really good.
Consistently good great service and food at a fair price.
The best sushi this side of the Mississippi! Excellent service by JoJo!!
Enjoyed my meal. Had tempura appetizer to start and it was nice and crispy, not oily or soggy. Main course was sushi and sashimi combo where all the selections were fresh and delicious. The miso soup that accompanied the meal was just average. Service was good throughout the meal but did have to wait a bit at the end for my check. Will definitely return.
A bit disappointed that the cooks weren’t preparing the food in front of you like a normal hibachi which definitely takes away from the whole hibachi experience in general. Besides the overall, service and food was great!
Nice Father’s Day dinner with two young boys. Food was very good!
Fathers Day dinner a day early. Hibachi tables closed. Anyone know why?
Service was great!!! The food is always amazing!! One of our favorite restaurants!!
Yokohama always has very good food and Highly recommended.
It wasn’t the same as the others I’ve been too. Salad dressing was very bad
