Yokohama Sushi and Hibachi
Always an excellent dinner.
Great food. Very fresh and seasoned extremely well. Highly recommend
Yokahama has been my go to sushi and hibachi place for years however on this visit they missed the mark.
Sushi took forever to be served and was overly warm (and I don’t order the fake cooked rolls so warm raw tuna and salmon doesn’t do it for me ) none of the hibachi tables had a cook - all of the food was cooked in the kitchen and brought out- all of which was not their normal quality nor presentation- most was tasteless we will be exploring otger options for our sushi dining in the future
Food was mediocre. They didn’t prepare food on hibachi and when the food came out it didn’t look like a full serving of seafood. The steak was also a little bland. Our waitstaff was phenomenal and courtesy. I will probably not return but instead go to Benihana’s.
Though the Hibachi tables are currently closed, you can order the Hibachi menu and we did. We shared the, thin skinned, steamed pork dumpling appetizer and it was wonderful.
Filled with ginger and subtleties. The soup was surprisingly good with complexity and depth. My partner had the shrimp and I had the scallops. Her shrimp were seasoned well and cooked to a crunchy perfection. My scallops were large and tender with just a hint of lemon. The veggie rice was real good. Her fried banana with ice cream was very lightly fried allowing for a solid banana center with good quality ice cream. I had the fried cheese cake dessert and though you can hear your arteries harden, it was crispy, sweet and deliciously presented with whipped cream and a cherry. I was thankful that the portion, though ample, was no larger than it was. I would have eaten it!!!
We were tended to by no less than 3 servers who were polite and efficient. You can't go wrong with Yokohama!
It’s nice but I would have like hibachi. It’s not up yet, but it would have been nice. Otherwise everything was really good.
Consistently good great service and food at a fair price.
The best sushi this side of the Mississippi! Excellent service by JoJo!!
Enjoyed my meal. Had tempura appetizer to start and it was nice and crispy, not oily or soggy. Main course was sushi and sashimi combo where all the selections were fresh and delicious. The miso soup that accompanied the meal was just average. Service was good throughout the meal but did have to wait a bit at the end for my check. Will definitely return.
A bit disappointed that the cooks weren’t preparing the food in front of you like a normal hibachi which definitely takes away from the whole hibachi experience in general. Besides the overall, service and food was great!
Nice Father’s Day dinner with two young boys. Food was very good!
Fathers Day dinner a day early. Hibachi tables closed. Anyone know why?
Service was great!!! The food is always amazing!! One of our favorite restaurants!!
Yokohama always has very good food and Highly recommended.
It wasn’t the same as the others I’ve been too. Salad dressing was very bad
Terrible so many better choices in the area.
Our go-on sushi place! Always excellent!
They are seating people in the hibachi area...weird if you’re having sushi. Restaurant was clean, but I didn’t appreciate bleach cleaner being sprayed while we ate.
The service and the food was very good. Have been to this restaurant several times and never disappointed. However, not sure is this was due to the COVID restrictions in social distancing or another reason, but we were seated in what is normally the HIbachi area and it was not comfortable at all. If you are looking for a regular dinner experience sitting for a period of time in these higher level seats is not an alternative. I won't be going back until the main dining room is once again open.
Had a 5 pm reservation, they seated us at the hibachi table which was awkward for 3 to converse. Thought the dining side was closed but it wasn't. The hibachi side had everyone decently social-distanced, but we looked over at the dining side when we left and it had tables removed so that side was also safe. I'm sure the restaurant had excellent reasons for seating us there but it did detract from the entire experience, unfortunate because we've enjoyed going there in the past.
Yokohama never disappoints. We took the kids out for dinner and everything was delicious. It’s our family’s favorite restaurant.
Well we arrived for Hibachi and was seated at the table only to be told the food was cooked in the back. The 3 kids were disappointed as we drove 45 mins to have dinner here because we were told how great it was. Out of frustration we stayed. Hibachi meals were ordered for 4 and sushi roll for 1. The food came out after a long wait and the steak should of been med rare but was well done. The veggies were all zucchini and mushy as though they had been cooked and sitting for a long tome. Even the fried rice was a disappointment. It came out in a bowl. And was only slightly brown..... no eggs or veggies. Then the bill $190 for 3 kids and 2 adults. The entire experience was leas than 60 mins. And deflating !
Great sushi. Very fresh and all meals were great. Wait for them to open real dining room as awkward seating by hibachi tables
Local gem. Food was great. Would definitely go back.
Delicious food, wonderful service and staff!
I choose the resturant for the experience. They cooked in the back and not in front if you. They charged the same price as if you did. The food was flavorless. The food was greasy.
There was a hair in my food so definitely wouldn’t be returning!
Always a great experience! Our go to restaurant for sushi and hibachi. We love the staff and felt completely safe dining inside with all of the measures they take to keep their patrons safe. The Queen roll is THE BEST!
Best sushi in the Philadelphia area. Great sevice and bartenders too!
Portions seems little smaller then last visit but over all great food wonderful service
great experience, fabulous sushi dinner.
Consistently fresh and tasty sushi. Friendly, professional service. Can get a little noisy on a busy night when everything is in full swing. Our "go to" place for sushi
Always a great meal. Neighborhood feeling and everyone is so welcoming.
Always great food and service !
Always great food and service
My wife and I only went for Sushi. We didn’t try hibachi so I can’t comment on that.
We were seated promptly and the restaurant was nice and clean. The ambiance was good too. The sushi wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great neither. I’ve had sushi from different places and this sushi could have been better. For example, it was smaller and much less colorful than other sushi I’ve had. We ordered a total of 7 rolls and none of them stood out. Another example is the seaweed holding the rolls together was coming apart before it even got to our table. Last, the flavor was bland. Overall, it was just okay and I wouldn’t go back. There are better options for sushi out there.
Fish was fresh
We have a great time every visit to Yokohama. The Hibachi chefs are skilled and keep the table entertained. It's a little expensive compared to your average sit-down dinner, but the food is always great and the entertainment is worth the extra.
