About Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse
The highest quality Texas prime beef is the main focus at the Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse but its legendary for its extensive wild game selection, and many of those same animals roam freely over our 48,000 acre ranch and namesake near Kerrville, Texas.
For those in the mood to try something out of the ordinary, the Y.O. offers venison, elk, wild boar, game birds, and our signature dish, the buffalo filet mignon.
Most of the beef at the Y.O. is local Texas Black Angus beef and hand cut in house. We employ a method very similar to the one the ranch hands have been using for more than 125 years.
The Y.O Steakhouse private dining, bar and banquet facilities can accommodate parties from 20-300 for business or pleasure, day or night. Your guests will experience a uniquely Texan and memorable dining experience combined with the highest quality food and service available.

Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
We were looking for great steak and wild game meat options, great sides, good drinks, and hoping to provide an old friend and sons a great dining experience. YO gave us all those things and we would definitely dine at the YO Ranch Steak House again; hopefully soon.
We went for my brothers birthday cause he heard of this from a friend. There were 7 and a baby. Our server Ivan was excellent. He interacted with the baby and was very very nice. He told us his recommendations and told us a lot about the menu. The food was very very very good. We all got something different so we could see a lot of the menu. The bone in ribeye and the bone in filet with bone marrow butter was GREAT. Would definitely go there again.
I was a little disappointed to find myself in a touristy sort of restaurant. The clientele was dressed in very casual T-shirts, so for a steak house in downtown Dallas, my expectations were a little too high. The food was good. They had a good wine list with a 2013 Caymus. There was a large offering of "wild game". I ordered the buffalo, boar sausage and elk chop. The meat was tender and good, but it wasn't from the Y.O. Ranch as we had anticipated. So this is a casual steak restaurant, with a good meal, but not an over-the-top experience.
Great restaurant. The service and the food was spot on.
The venison wraps were outstanding. I have recomened them to friends
and we are plannig a dinner trip to try more of the wild game entrees.
We enjoyed the Dallas World Aquarium on this trip,it is only 2 blocks from the YO.
Server Was Great!
The Restaurant’s Atmosphere Was Chili’s Like..... This Is A Tourist Trap Restaurant..... We Bought Two Porterhouses And A Ribeye. Along With The Steaks, We Ordered Three Salads And Two Sides (EVERYTHING IS A LA CARTE).
As Well, We Ordered 2 Glasses Of Wine And A 2 Finger Glenlivet 12 ($22.00)...... Our Bill, Including 20% Tip Was $323+/- A Few Dollars.
Other Than Our Server..... Which Again, Was Absolutely Fantastic..... The Food Was Comparable To The Sizzler....(Not Kidding.). This Place Is, As I Mentioned Before..... A “Tourist Trap”.
I Gaurantee, No Dallas Residents.... Ever Go There More Than Once..... The Food Would Never Promote/Carry Repeat Clientel.
I Believe Everyone Has Gotten The Picture.
We ate at the Y.O. Ranch the night before the Texas/Oklahoma college football game. Our reservation was honored on time. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. The food and wine list were exceptionally good. Prices were rather typical of an upscale steak house.
I highly recommend this restaurant. I made reservations for my husbands 30th birthday and also to surprise him that we are having a baby! I asked on the notes of the reservation if they could do some kind of desert that announces the baby. The manager of the restaurant called me to make sure everything was in place and then the owner Tony Street called me as well to make sure they had everything I wanted ready to go. His wife is the pastry chief and she made the prettiest desert to announce the baby! They really put in a lot of effort to make sure our night was perfect. Our waiter was great and the food came quick for us having a party of nine. The food was so good. Everything everyone ordered was good. We will definitely be back!
I was by myself, and I had dined here the last time I was in Dallas and I came back because the food was awesome!! The waiter was ok he gave me plenty of time to look over the menu but had a large party he was also serving so they got most (all) his attention!! I would eat here again the next time I'm in town.
We had a good experience here. Our waiter was a little head strong at first, but was very knowledgeable about the menu and willing to give recommendations which is always a plus. We enjoyed the food, but have had better at other upscale Dallas spots for the price we paid. Good food in a cool location.
Came in with a group of 6 and we all enjoyed our meals for the most part. The only entree we disliked was the scallops; just weren't done right but the corn sauce they were swimming in was yummy. All the steaks we ordered were great and came out as requested. We didn't like the sauce the asparagus had on it at all but the mashed potatoes were spot on. The creme brûlée and torte were both delish. I'd go back if we visit the area again.
This was a unique steakhouse offering more than your typical beef, pork, and seafood. We had the sampler platter and all of the food was prepared perfectly, with great taste. This allows you to step outside of your box for a different dinning experience. Service was great as well.
In Dallas for a conference, and took the opportunity to get out of the Hotel. We were looking for some good Texas beef, and really found it at the Y O. The service was amazing, and the food was better. We had the Filet and Rib-eye. Both were prepared to perfection. To say much more would just be redundant. If you are in downtown Dallas and want a great meal, this is the place.
