Excellent seafood, fresh fresh fresh, top service very friendly and knowledgeable
Great experience. Our server, David, was very knowledgable. We thoroughly enjoyed our cocktails as recommended by David. Food was very good too. A great value for the TravelZoo coupon.
Expected much more for the price point. French toast felt like it was make from wonder bread. I've done better myself at home.
Absolutely fabulous food, service, ambiance, gluten-free options, just a delight!!!
the lamb was beautiful, I couldnt eat the risotto and the mushrooms were good ...they were a bit greasy and I could taste onion or something in the risotto. the dessert was lovely and the wait staff was exceptional
Very relaxed atmosphere. Portions little small but beautifully displayed
Our server, Andrew, was exceptional. The food was incredibly prepared and delicious. The choice for our TravelZoo voucher was varied and wide. We will return!
Being in a hotel, the Yew is upper tier food and ambiance, but can be formal or casual. Service is usually very good, with enough staff to ensure that your water/wine glass is always full. I found the prices higher than I remember and am disappointed that the Sunday wine promotion has been discontinued.
I do have two not-so-flatteringly comments. 1) attention to the ladies' room. Albeit I reported to the restaurant hostess that the ladies' room really needed attention before our drinks were served when I went back when we finished dining, it still wasn't done. In fact, it was in worse shape than the first time.
And 2ndly, nuts are a very common allergy. Why, out of the five desserts (not including ice cream/sorbet) do four of them have nuts? I am severely allergic, it was my birthday and I was extremely disappointed by my limited options.
I really appreciate the vegan menu. Yew has become our go-to restaurant for a special occasion, as there really isn't anywhere else that offers fine-dining with a decent vegan selection in Vancouver. The food is just ok, not nearly as inventive and delicious as Acorn, but the service is outstanding.
It was really nice to be here . Staff was friendly
Even though our booking in the bar was messed up, they still looked after us. Great spot for a pre dinner drink
A most pleasant experience with a fabulous server,(Jenny) , great food, and ability to have great conversations. All wait staff were excellent
Dinner was great. Joel was our server and he was probably one of the best my wife and I have ever had. He was funny, attentive to details and really made the meal. The food was excellent and with great service the entire experience was perfect.
Amazing service. Good food experience. I would recommend it for any special dates
Went for an anniversary and the food was amazing.
We went for my girlfriend's birthday and the food and our waiter were fantastic. However, I asked if they could do something for my girlfriend since it was her birthday, but nothing came out of it.
Decent seafood but not the best. Oysters were ok and shrimps had a tasty sauce (mayo/avocado mix). Marinated octopus was revolting and fishy. Lobster had good promise but the sauce for it was cold and tasteless. Desert was excellent and service attentive.
We had two crab salads and two coffees and the bill was $78 with a tip. The salad was so so and the portion was small. The menu is overpriced.
As a longtime Vancouverite I didn’t think that there was a modern dining experience available at the Four Seasons. I was pleasantly surprised! It’s so convenient to get to, being on Granville / City Centre and there’s also underground parking (you get to stay dry!). We loved the friendly service (sometimes they get a little huffy that you’re there for Dine Out), amazing seafood and presentation, and little touches like bread with seafood mousse before the meal and madeleines with dark chocolate and freeze dried strawberry bark (complimentary with the meal). We honestly can’t wait for the next lunch or brunch or whatever excuse we have to treat ourselves to this place again!
DineOut Vancouver - starter scallops minestrone is delicious, then downward from there. Ling cod was like fish and chips. Mine was too rare so manager sent it back to kitchen and they made me another order which was cooked well. However by then the other 2 people finished their entrees and waiting for the redo, I was full so packed my fish home. Desserts are not their forte - cherry tart was cold and hard. Chocolate cookie and cream not inspired like Oreo standing on a plate
Excellent meal and services! Will go again for sure !
The service was exceptional. Food portions and quality were not affected by dineout promo.
The ambience and service was great however, we were very disappointed with our food.
No windows for the downtown view. Highly recommend the Scallops Minestrone(medium) and Earl Grey Chocolate Mousse.
I enjoyed the complementary bread + spread as well as the dessert at the end. All the servers were kind and attended to my needs quickly. I've only been to YEW for Dineout, so I wouldn't be able to comment on their regular menu. However, upon browsing their brunch menu, I would try it out.
Excellent service with perfect dining environment! Never felt isolated even when sitting far in the corner.
Excellent service! Big thanks to the server (sorry forgot to get his name) who provided extraordinary customer experience. After knowing it's my friend's birthday, he brought in a surprise fruit dish with birthday wishes. Very impressive and touching!
My husband and I went for dine out menu set. Food was very nice, I love the scallops so much but there was a “surprise” to us. my husband bit a small stone when he ate the beans in the bottom of the plate. That was terrible if I bit it, I don’t have strong teeth as my husband, never thought it would happen. Our waiter gave us another new dish of scallop as compensation, we are ok with that, the new one was perfect.
I ordered salmon and scallop. Both good
The food was excellent and the service was good. The waiters were very helpful and attendive all night. Everyone was so friendly including the receptionist in the front.
server order wrong and don't apologize
Went to Yew for Dine Out and it was amazing!
Went to YEW for dine out. Portions were extremely small and food was only mediocre at best. Not worth the $40 and I will not be back.
Excellent food, excellent service, excellent ambience
An excellent dinner ! We enjoyed the excellent dine out Vancouver menu. Great value for our money.
Fantastic experience for fancy dinner
The food was good. The service was even better. Our waiter was able to recommend a drink which I really enjoyed.
Tasty seafood, never had a fish cooked like this befote. Crispy Cod fish, raw tiger prawn, fresh taste
I had Tiger Prawn Ceviche for appetizer and taste good with lemongrass aroma. Main course is Ling Cod. Very crispy and well displayed with slate as plate. For dessert, I had pistachio with cherry tart, not too sweet and delicious.
