Excellent Indian style restaurant. The quality of food and service is outstanding. The Glen Ellen location and interior of the restaurant is intimate and charming.
As superb as always. Every dish was delicious
I’ll be back! The food was delicious and the location made it fun.
loved it. Went there two days in a row. Great food with excellent preparation
Great food, well prepared and graciously served.
Food was delicious but price was high
Ambiance sympa avec terrasse s il fait beau. Plats excellents et très copieux. Service souriant et efficace.
I live in Glen Ellen and have ordered in from Yeti. However, this was my first time eating in its lovely little restaurant. The staff is mostly from Nepal and their smiles and welcoming attitudes were a nice change from many of the restaurants in the Valley. Yeti backs up on to a creek and the outdoor patio is one of the few restaurants in the neighborhood with a view.I had the Chicken Briaka, the okra and the nan which was over the top. It is also reasonably price and you can share an entree. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is a true neighborhood find.
Yeti remains one of my favorite local 'go to' restaurants in Glen Ellen. The food is always spot on. The service is wonderful and I love that it is family owned and operated. If you are coming into our Village for a night or two....you will not be disappointed with Yeti!
Great local restaurant in Glen Ellen with excellent Indian and Nepali choices, both Tandoori style as well as the saucy, spicy Indian dishes. Great fresh baked naan in their ovens, great kebab style foods.
The house-made paneer was delicious and the curry was spiced just right. The servers were smiling and very accommodating. Definitely recommend!
They need a bit more Yellow Jacket control so the dining on the terrace is not interupted by those pest!!!
Once there delish lamb was served we were swatting away. Unfortunately its just that time of the year in Sonoma.
I want to love this restaurant for the food and the location. Have tried it several times. Unfortunately the service is just terrible. We sat unattended for long periods of time. Waited for water and tea refills with empty glasses for 15 minutes at a time. Repeatedly had to chase down the waiter for assistance.
This visit was disappointing. Yeti in Glen Ellen has been for years one of our "go to" local restaurants. The food is usually very good, and the patio is charming. For whatever reason, the food this time was not up to standards, and didn't seem to be prepared with the usual care. We always enjoy the cilantro-mint dip with naan, but this visit, the dip was watery and nothing special. Surprised, and hope they get their game back.
Some of the most amazing naan I've ever had (we did the basil-garlic option), and delicious vegetarian dishes--generous in size and quality. Only qualm was a preponderance of flies at the outside tables; inside didn't seem to have A/C so on a warm day it was sit in the garden.
Nice place. Need AC inside big time. Service a little slow but friendly. Food very good but slightly over priced depending on what you get. Overall I'd recommend giving it a shot.
We enjoyed outside seats and planned on getting the lamb shank curry as recommended on our wine tour. But we were downwind when the mixed tandoori platter was delivered to another table and couldnt resist the temptation. It was delicious, now we need to return to try the curry! We also devoured the sag paneer and garlic cliantro naan. Excellent!
Fantastic expiernce. Flavors, setting, prices, service. Will be back forever!!
Consistently good South Asian food in a beautiful setting. Service is always excellent. Not cheap, but also not expensive. A wonderful restaurant, highly recommend!
Thanks loved it all.
It was great!
Yetti never disappoints!! The food is delicious and they cater to individual tastes. They also have a lot of great veggie items.
It was our first time at Yeti in Glen Ellen and we visited during Sonoma Restaurant Week so we got to taste a lot of different things. Our server was excellent - she explained the different dishes and how best to eat them. I'd definitely go back and order the chicken momo for an app and lamb for the main dish.
We had our first visit to Yeti during Restaurant Week so we could try their special menu
I had made a reservation at least a week earlier but when we arrived, we were told there were no tables. The offered us a seat at a table in a room that was separate from the main dining room where no one else was sitting. My husband said NO and were told we could wait 15 minutes for another table. If we had another option we probably would have left and not returned. We took a drive to local store for a few items and came back about 20 minutes later. We were seated and we did have a wonderful meal.
Our favorite local restaurant for comfort and flavor. It is definitely worth the drive. I've never had anything I wouldn't order again and again. We bump into friends almost every time we go. I have even taken Indian friends.
Every time we are in Sonoma County, we plan on a meal at Yeti!
If you are staying in the area and want something different from your typical "California" fare, Yeti is good. Is it the best Indian food I have ever had? Not close. But it was warm and hit the spot.
The servers at Yeti in Glen Ellen are always smiling and friendly and make good suggestions about what's best on the menu. Plates are small and saucy for sharing - its good to get orders of Naan (garlic and buttered are our favorites) and/or rice for mopping up all the goodness.
We have been to Yeti three times and it seems that each time gets better and better. It was cold out and unfortunately the walls don’t have the greatest insulation. They have some floor heaters spread around and they help. But what really helps is the food which is hot and typically tasty and spicy. After the wine and samosas we were pleasantly warmed up and the rest of the dinner was great - Chicken Tikka Marsala and Tandori Salmon were off the charts. Yeti has a very reasonably priced wine menu and the check for the two of us including the wine was less than $90. Luckily Yeti was not affected by the recent fires and it is a great place to have some really good food in Glen Ellen.
The food was tasty, seasoned appropriately, and served at the right temperature. At times there were two wait staff vying for our attention; it seemed like the two weren't communicating well with one another about our requests. Because of other reviews, we chose to sit inside to avoid the yellow jackets. Unfortunately, we didn't manage to avoid a couple of pesky flies. Since the unscreened door to the patio area was left wide open, it's not surprising that the flies were there. All in all it was a nice place to spend celebrating our anniversary.
Wonderful meal, wonderful service. Good was tasty, good heat, and proper portions. Wait staff was very good with recommendations. I would definitely go back!
Food was fantastic. People were friendly. They were busy, so service was slow. There were also a lot of flies in the restaurant because the doors were open.
At first I thought the prices were a bit high for Indian and then the wonderful food came out in huge portions. We started off with the chicken momo, it came out looking like a Shanghai dumpling, there were some juices inside so it could be the Nepalese version. They were very flavorful and worth the drive all by itself. Then we each had a tandoori kabob dish, an order of rice and a piece of nan. We could've easily just shared one kabob dish. Since all of our dishes were "dry", the server brought us out a small bowl of a cream sauce that tasted sort of like korma to try. YUM!!!
I wish we could have taken doggie bags, but it was a hot day and we had come to Glen Ellen to shop.
For all the rave reviews and recommendations it was less than I had expected. The tiki masala meat was tough and dry and the spice was underwhelming.
Love this local restaurant! Wonderful food with an attentive staff. Very nice outdoor dining near a creek.
We live locally (Sonoma) and there are times when it is great to be able to “get out of town” ,
w/out having to go very far.
YETI is one of our favorite restaurants for just such an adventure.
The food is very good....especially if U bring a number of friends w/ U.
That way U can order a number of varied dishes and create a fabulous banquet!
We also love the setting/ ambience....
and the staff is very welcoming and service is attentive.
Hope U will enjoy it as much as we do.
The problem was that the food was made for "white people" i.e. nice dishes and ingredients but really bland.
Amazing setting and the food was phenomenal!!
Food you won't get anywhere else. Exotic flavors. There are few outdoor dining spots in Glen Ellen, this is one of them. The servers are helpful and friendly. Get the garlic Naan.
Absolutely LOVED the ambiance. We typically eat at the Santa Rosa location because it's very close to our home. What a nice surprise that the food in Glen Ellen was equally as good- but the atmosphere and the setting on the outdoor patio was AMAZING! I'd highly recommend. We'll be back!
