I thought there'd be a less-expensive lunch menu rather than the same dinner menu.
We were greeted poorly, waited 20 minutes after being seated for anyone to come to our table. The Manager (I am guessing) came must of known we waited as he appoligized and offer to get us started with something we asked to please order now so he took our compleat order brought back our wine it was a good 15 minutes before we recieved our appetizer then another 15 for our pizzas, never were told who our waiter was, had at least three different wait staff at our table. I eat out for the service more then anything as my husband and I are good cooks this left a bad taste in my mouth.
😡😡😡😡Yes Bistro... how about never again Bistro. I wanted to try a new restaurant for date night. Made a reservation, didn’t need one, they had lots of open tables when we got there, but were excited about a new place. Was pleasant, didn’t take but a few minutes to decide on an appetizer and our dinner selections all at one time. WAITED 45 MINUTES, AND GOT NOTHING BUT BREAD!!! Didn’t even check in our table. Started looking around and realized large parties who got there after us, were eating their dinner. We got up to leave, and bumped into the waitress, we told her we left $5 for the bread, We told her we left $5 for the bread but after waiting 45 mins weren’t waiting any longer, we hadn’t even gotten our appetizer. She looks at us all flabbergasted because we were leaving. Told us, “but your burger is coming right up”. Let me tell you, my burger was not up on the shelf, and neither was my husbands dinner or the appetizer. Never again. I’ve also had friends say the same thing since posting this review on Facebook 😡😡😡😡
First of all, ignore the menu on open table. It has no relation whatsoever with the menu are you are given in the restaurant. When I asked the waitress about the small plates showing on the menu on open table she had no idea what I was talking about even after I showed them to her. She also didn't tell us there any specials of any kind. And took a while to come by the table numerous times. The table next to us was seated and she went through two or three different specials. I will say, my halibut was excellent and my wife enjoyed her salad. Overall the food was very good. They just need to work on service.
Service was slow and we had specifically told them we were attending a play across the street. It took 45 minutes to get our food and we had to eat very quickly to make the play. The restaurant was not crowded and there was no reason for the delay.
Superb meals and service. My pork shoulder on apple Cole slaw was outstanding. The steak salad is excellent also. And the food is served by a very friendly staff that knows the menu well.
Really enjoy Yes Bistro. Hannah has been our server for the past 3 or 4 times we've been and she is great.
The food is wonderful every time we go. Yummy mushroom pizza. The BEST cheesecake in town- hands down. Beautiful decor as well.
Any time we want a filling meal with unique flavor, we go to Yes!
Everything was amazing!! Went for New Years Eve with friends.
We had the New Years Eve Chef menu.
The food was Delicious!!!!
The service fantastic.
We highly recommend
Dinner out for my wife’s birthday. Friendly welcome service; good calamari appetizer and steaks; a few decent choices of wine by the glass. Overall Solid, but not exceptional.
I love everything about Yes Bistro, except for the service. There have been multiple occassions where we've had to rush through enjoying our dinner because the service prior to that was so slow. Absolutely recommend, but be prepared for service to take a little while longer than most places.
I have had lunch at Yes Bistro on numerous occasions. I enjoy the seafood chowder in particular. My last visit was not as positive since the food arrived later than expected and one of the dishes was not very warm.
A table for 6 was waiting for us and our server was wonderful. Most of our dinners were picture perfect. A steak and some seafood were over cooked but they gladly remade our dinners and we were satisfied with that. Overall, we had a great experience and will return soon.
The food, even the steak, was all seasoned with the same Tex-Mex spice. The fish and calamari were greasy and the waitress inattentive. We would have ordered coffee and dessert but she never came back. We had to flag her down for the bill. It was our first visit and we won’t be going back. I’ve always wondered why the place is mostly empty whenever I drive by...now I know!
My 3-4 time. Food always delicious and I have tried a variety of their dishes but service continues to be spotty. Each visit the staff comments they are short staffed with one or more employees not showing up. So service is slow. Slow for water, drinks, food, bill, etc.
Two Thumbs Up!

Waited 20 min for a server to come to our table and when she did she said she was only helping out because the other server was too busy. My grilled shrimp was mostly raw and 2 appetizers didn’t come out until we were almost through our main course. Scallop appetizer was 15 bucks for three tiny scallops. Not worth my time or money .. do not recommend !
Our server was friendly. He got orders confused. Very slow kitchen. But food was surprisingly delicious. Menu on website is different than the one in Resturant. I would tell friends to go if you have time to wait, want really quiet atmosphere and do not mind switching plates. Again food was really good
Usually good service; however, it was very very slow on Sunday, 8/12/17.
Food was very bad: not cook correctly and have no taste.
Food was ok, but the service was excellent.
Had the Arancinin for app, which was very bland. Service was terrible, beer menu was not up to date. This visit was for dinner (our bill was $100) we were rushed through, and were in/out in less than an hour from when we were seated. Very limited selection of wine & beer. Our 2nd app arrived at the end of our entree. Ribeye was low quality, tasteless, I dont think any seasoning was added, not even salt! The potatoes tasted like the were left over from the previous night! The only bright spot was the seafood risotto, which was actually quite tasty. I have raved about this place in the past, and now I must take it back. Got Dennys quality at brewhouse prices!
The food was great and beautiful place.
We split the calamari appetizer, a Caesar salad, and each had the coconut halibut. The flavors were excellent and interesting in all, and the dishes were plentiful. Service was terrific. I highly recommend.
We were a little hesitant because of location and some other reviews. Great surprise. Halibut oscar, crab cakes and caesar salad were fantastic. Hannah was our waitress and she was perfect. Decor is beautiful and comfortable. Wine list excellent with a very wide selection of by the glass. We will go back soon. Note: this is not a fast food restaurant. This is a moderate high upscale dining experience. Rare in Anchorage.
Wonderful service and great foods!
Service was ok. Terrible food. I had the ribs. Very dry. Will never return
Eclectic food choices, in colorful, modern setting.
It was our first date night in a very long time. We chose YES Bistro because the menu looked good and all-encompassing. We were greeted by the host when we entered. She informed us that Wi-Fi in the restaurant usually did not work and more than likely she could not check us in on Open Table. This defeated the purpose of even making a reservation through the website. We were seated and the host brought us waters. Overall, she performed her duties adequately. It must be noted that the physical menus were in really bad shape, in dire need of repair. Our server was poor at best. She greeted us and asked if we would like anything to drink besides water. As she was talking to us she was rubbing her eyes and face. Her interest in giving good service disappeared when we did not order drinks right away. As I tried to order wings for an appetizer, our server was already walking away from the table and looked over her shoulder to faintly acknowledge that she heard the order. This is the point where we had seen enough and decided to leave before our first date night in almost two years. YES Bistro, on face value, appears to be a restaurant that is going to close soon. Disappointing...
Had a burger, it was cooked perfectly. Asked for medium and it was light pink and delicious.
Yes! Bistro is a oyster of a restaurant - plain on the outside, but inside transports you to a classy atmosphere with fine cuisine. We have always had friendly, doting service and always delicious food. We are never rushed through a meal. Some seating is traditional booth-style, some unique booths, some small tables and a few large tables, so Yes! can accommodate many size parties and a variety of occasions/atmospheres. The decor is modern but reserved. I really like that music is not blasted at us and we are able to enhance our dining experience with intimate conversation. The food at Yes! Bistro is wonderful and the prices reasonable (for Alaska). [I admit, I had a salad recently that was not up to their amazing standards, but it was still good.] I highly recommend Yes! Bistro.
ps: we chose Yes! for our most recent dinner out because we were celebrating an engagement, and Yes! not only fit the atmosphere and food, but also the name was appropriate to our ocassion.
We always want to come here but since is far away from us we skipped all the time....shame on us!!! The food is really good, we love it and now we don't care to drive there to get the tomato soup, the ratatouille was done perfectly, everything was delicious, omelettes and hashbrown potatoes done from scratch. Service was good and price too. If this restaurant moves to another location in Anchorage will be no way to have a reservation in days, so now we areis there so we can go anytime :-).
YES Bistro on DeBarr Road is a delightful spot to enjoy the company of friends & family with fun food and good spirits!
Service was great
Enjoyed coconut crusted halibut before play at Cyrano’s. Very pleasant. And they have husband’s favorite IPA Twister Creek.
Friends met there for lunch and we stayed and visited for quite a while. Because there were other open tables we felt comfortable staying longer than it took to eat our meal. We all had something different and everyone enjoyed theirs. Our server did a good job. I would recommend Yes Bistro and will definitely be going back.
Easy to get seating. Food was good. We enjoyed the ambience and the waiter staff was very friendly
Excellent service with diverse menu options. Chef was very accommodating to dietary restrictions. Our whole group was happy with their meals.
