Good food and convenient location for us. Had live music the night we were there that was great.
Good food, fun ambience, reasonable prices. Also very helpful waiter helped my friend adjust his crutches!
Great food, and great service!
Last minute late dinner with family. Thanks to Open Table able to find and reserve with waiting. Dinner was good and entertainment was icing on the cake. Would return again before leaving PR!
Jaime was an incredible server!!!
This was our favorite dinner place in San Juan after a 6-night stay. I highly recommend the churrasco with chimmichuri sauce and the mojitos!!! They have those lazy rocker seats here that add to the chill ambience. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Food was amazing. Service was attentive. Environment was good.
Nice to get out away from the hotel. The food was yummy - try the skirt steak! We will definitely be back. And for the reviews that say the service is slow - maybe try having an interesting conversation with your dinner companions, and enjoy a different speed.
Best food we had in PR. Definitely get the mofongo.
This place is great! Seats are comfortable and it’s good for kids. The service was dynamite, the best in Puerto Rico. The setting is pretty cool and relaxed. The food was very good and priced well. Wish I knew this was here earlier than I did. Will definitely be back.
We have gone both times we have visited PR and love it. They have amazing legitimate mojitos, not sugary fake drinks and their food is phenominal. The best crunch outside, soft inside, not greasy, flaverful mofungo. I have gotten the coconut rum shrimp dish both times and they are super huge and delicious. Also, the staff is so curtious and genuine. They have a great open air porch area to eat and a server observed a girl on the sidewalk struggling with an uncomfortable shoe and went out and offered to get her a bandaid, It was just a lovely gesture and made the experience that much more laid back, relaxing, and enjoyable. Can't recommend enough.
Excelente la comida y ambiente. Fuimos a ver al grupo de música, excelente
Visit YerbaBuena on our annual, pre-cruise, two-day stay in San Juan. Food and service are great and the outside terrace allows you to watch Condado nightlife pass by. We have been eating here for years. You will not be disappointed. Inside tables are available, if you don't like eating outside, but try the outside.
The number of sauces enhances whatever flavor you were trying to get out of your dish. Large portions give you the most for your money. Well worth it.
First time there to celebrate mom's 75th bday. Service was EXCELLENT! From the call to follow up on the reservation 'til the moment we left.
Live music, very appropriate. Nice clean place. Good food.
I wish that I could remember my waiter's name because he set the tone for a wonderful dining experience. Each one of our dishes, the pumpkin fritters, the Grilled
Chicken with Passion Fruit and the sauteed jumbo shrimp with ginger/coconut sauce were all terrific!
Took forever to get our food
More of a chain restaurant than local authentic.
Whole red snapper and mojitos! Nothing better.
Best Mojito I've ever had.
Very good service by Jose!
We ate here on our first night in Puerto Rico and I'm very glad we found it1 It's a lively place with lots of people eating, drinking and good music playing. It's located on a corner, so there's even street activity to entertain you.
Fantastic service! Raul was very attentive & helpful.
loved the passion fruit mojitos we went back for more a second night. Make sure they are made with Don Q rum, not Bacardi (it makes a difference). The grilled octopus was delicious, especially with the mango sauce. The grouper was also very well done, and the ropa vieja in the yucca mofongo was all that I expected and more. You won't be disappointed.
What can I say? Yerba Buena exceeded all expectations. The most important thing (the food) was awesome! The service impeccable--and the upbeat feel to the restaurant was a welcome plus. There was some nice (unobtrusive) live music playing and the experience on the whole was very positive. My only gripe was that the valet parking slots had filled up about two cars before I got there and I had to park myself on the street, but other than that the place was outstanding!
I would NOT recommend this restaurant unless you sit at the bar, orders only drinks and want loud music.
The restaurant has covered outdoor and indoor tables. It is pretty much like a bar with tables. We were a family of 4 with reservation for 8:30 on Christmas Eve. There was loud live music and fortunately we were seated outdoors. We still struggled to hear one another.
The waiter arrived, took our drink orders, delivered them 15 minutes later; took our food order and literally disappeared for an hour. He did not ask about drink refills, offer water, etc. He did state, “Your order is coming up next.” and then disappeared.
30 minutes later I went in search of him and asked about our food. Again he stated your food is next. We should have left as did 2 other tables, but ...
The food finally arrived over 2 hours after our arrival at the restaurant. The food fortunately was fine. We saw other tables wait and then return their food. The best part of the night were the pumpkin fritters, comped to us because of our wait and complaints.
Sit outside. Plan to be there for a while but the shrimp is MARVELOUS!!!! Mojitos will put you out. Take two and you’ll sleep well. All in all great experience.
My moms first time in PR
Great outdoor seating. Unfortunately Big Band Monday is no longer going on. They do have music on Thursday nights. Service is great. Our meal was good. We will be back.
Food took over an hour to prepare. Service was very slow.
...comfortable early evening meal. ... loved the shrimp
Excellent food and service. My husband and I have gone back to this restaurant every time we come to Puerto Rico.
Great spot , great food , tasty tasty!
My girlfriend and I had the joy of eating here when in town several years ago. Fast forward to a friends cruise this year, and with just one night in town I knew our group of 10 needed to hit Yerba Buena. Food, service, and of course the mojitos were all top notch. The entire group was amazed by the food - enough so we had to get a second round of the grilled octopus and pumpkin fritters before diving into our main courses. Really can’t recommend this place more, definitely one of our faves in Condado!!
Food was not good value for money. For the same price, I’d rather go to Cocina Abierta, just around the corner.
El lugar muy tranquilo y acogedor! La comida muy buen y el personal muy atento, en fin una Muy experiencia...
Excellent Big Band Show
We wanted authentic Cuban food and Yerba Buena did not disappoint! Delicious grilled octopus, ropa vieja, and rice and black beans. When we asked if they had any avocados to go with our meal, our waiter said he'd go to the market and get one for us! I handed him $5 and he was back in no time with a perfectly ripe avocado. Talk about service! We also enjoyed white sangria which they made without sugar, as we requested. An excellent meal, excellent service, and we even enjoyed the swinging tables and seats!
On vacation in Puerto Rico and wanted local food and authentic Puerto Rican food. We were not disappointed. The food was good and service was excellent. The Puerto Rican people are very friendly and provided attention to detail service.
Definitely a good find in Condado, Puerto rico. The ambiance was great as was the service from our server Antonio. He was attentive but not over bearing, shared his expertise and recommendations which were all great.
We tried the mojitos which were GREAT. Unbelievable how good that guava mojito was. I dont usually drink mojitos but this was something else. We tried to replicate these mojitos elsewhere on the island and was unsuccessful. So right on Yerba Buena.
The red snapper was also pretty delicious as was the chicken appetizers we had. We would definitely return.
Great service and food!
