Always great. Great food and service with ample parking and a store to buy goodies.
Yekta Kabobi is excellent. We were promptly seated at a nicely set table. Our waiter helped us pick a Bulgarian wine we would not have otherwise chosen. We ordered a trio of mezze dips which were excellent. The lamb kabob was generous and delicious. Surprise was a pomegranate cheesecake for desert. All in all, a very pleasant dining experience.
Nice environment, very good service. Good but not outstanding food. Lamb kebab a bit tough, koubide OK but not more than that. Rice dry. Good pickles. OK dolmades (but no comparison with those at the Mykonos across the road).
Food is always fresh and the service is excellent.
Good food well served but noisy atmosphere
KOOBIDEH LAMB KABOB doogh
My husband and I have had the pleasure of dining at Yekta many times over the years. Last Friday, we invited our Iranian friends. Our dinner was delightful; we ordered Fattoush, Koobideh, Lamb Kabob, a combination of Chicken Kabob and Koobideh, and Doogh as beverage. Everything was absolutely perfect! The quality of the meats is the highest, the seasoning well balanced and the house made Doogh was the best ever. Without a doubt the best Persian restaurant in the area!
I've eaten here many times but it was the first time for my friend. We both loved the food and had wonderful service. We will both definitely be back.
Love the place. Quality of food, service, ambiance is the best among Persian Restaurants in the area. Our Waitress was fantastic. She was polite, courteous, and very helpful.
Always a great place to eat. Food is healthy and tasty. Good service and great parking. Try the market too. They have great nuts and cookies.
Great food. Nice atmosphere. Good service.
Great restaurant! Really good food, especially lamb kabob and salmon kabob were excellent. Grilled veggies were just right. Really tasty appetizers. Very attentive servers.
The food was very good. Reviews talked about how special it was, and we indicated on the reservation that it was a birthday celebration. That was not acknowledged, and the waiter made us feel rushed. At one point he started to take a shared appetizer plate when we were still eating off of it! At the end of the meal, we received some warmer service from a woman. Once we paid, we were ignored. It was good, but not much beyond that.
The restaurant was excellent. I had the meat combination meal which was juicy and tasty. Our waitress was Erica and she was great also.
Very nice meal. Lamb kabob and dolmeh were delicious. Very generous portions. My wife ordered the special which was salmon. She really enjoyed the salmon but not the rice or the sides. She regretted not getting the salmon kabob dinner.
It was great to take my parents who are in their 80's. We all enjoy persian food. It was very noisy though. Hard to have a conversation. We'd go back though.
We had a great time. It was quite noisy, though, until the crowd started to thin out.
This is my second time at this restaurant. The food is consistent and my stepmother requests to go each year for her bday.
e have been here many times and it wasn't as good as usual in regard to the seasoning of our food...usually the seasoning is much better than tonight
Best Persian food in the DC area.
Great portions and service. Highly recommend the lentil rice accompanied by a beef kabob!
Enjoyed the food. The beef kabobs were delicious--well marinated and grilled just right, tender and juicy. The baklava for dessert was so-so, not bad, not great. The restaurant was relatively busy. The wait staff was slim but seemed to keep up with the orders very well. The adjoining market was fun to peruse and shop for many tempting items.
Yekta restaurant is a hidden jewel on Rockville Pike.
I have been here at least 5 times in the last 4 months. The food and service have been consistently good! Fresh, flavorful, and delicious.
Despite being very busy on a couple of occasions, the staff was always congenial and service oriented. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Absolutely awful server. I am really disappointed as I’ve been coming to yekta since I was a kid. Our server didn’t smile and was very rude. He was always in a rush to clear our plates before we were even done and had plenty of food left on the plate! He didn’t greet us, check in on us, or care at all about our dining experience. Miss all of the older kind servers yekta used to have. What an awful meal!
the server was disinterested in us but it was still great food
Outstanding service, delicious food. Great for special occasions, birthday's, family get together, New Year's Eve, anytime.
Great food. Great service. Servers were very attentive . And the grocery store connected to the restaurant is a wonderful gem!
Love the food here. Service is great.
Service is friendly and attentive. The food is fantastic and unique!
A very average restaurant, at best. Very much a cafeteria setting. No ambience. Kabobs were as Kabobs usually are, of average quality and presentation. Located in a strip mall which defines the restaurant pretty much. Might go there for lunch but not for any special evening dinner. Overrated on OpenTable, which I am trusting less and less.
Did not like what I ordered: both appetizer and enteee
Food was good, but service could have been better. Very loud and noise level was very disturbing. I understand it is a small restaurant, but the diners should not be talking this loud. I did not see any manager, asking very loud customers to keep it down. I dine a lot, but this noise level was unbearable.
Best service always! Polite and attentive but not smothering.
Yekta always hits the spot with their delicious cuisine, outstanding customer service, and welcoming environment! I look forward to visiting at least once a month.
Very good food, noise level was very high and difficult to talk . We enjoyed our dinner very much... portions are large!
Very nice food as always! The chicken was as tender as butter and the saffron rice delicious. Wonderful service as well. It can get a bit noisy on occasion, but other than that, a very nice restaurant.
We've been here a number of times before. This evening was a special occasion &they helped to take care of us. Food was serve promptly w
polite attentive service, the food was really delicious nothing was over cooked, sometimes kabobs can be over spiced and dried out but not here. . .was cooked to tender perfection, everyone was happy, we were party of 6. We had salmon, chicken/lamb combo & marinated sliced steak. Desert and coffee. One special wout any onions accommodated without any onion flavor that u sometimes get when they just remove them. Oh there soups are delish!
Ever since 1998, which is when I first came to the restaurant, I have travelled 110 miles from Richmond once or twice a month and try to bring friends along to show them the quality of the food.
We have eaten at Kabobi many times. The Persian food has never disappointed and the market next door to buy dates and pistachios is top notch!
Excellent authentic Persian cuisine. The Mughlai cuisine (more spicy) in India was derived from this cuisine. Very reasonable prices, very good value for the money. Don't expect the ambience of a five star restaurant, think more of a happy community gathering -- it is attached to a Persian grocery store (interesting to visit.)
Go for the Kabobs (any kind, but rec the ground beef esp) and the Persian rice - just outstanding.
