Yekta Kabobi Restaurant
Came here for lunch with a colleague. I ordered the shrimp kabob which was very delicious. However, I only got four pieces of shrimp. My colleague got the combo kabob and received much more chicken and beef. Overall, good ambiance and service. I enjoyed the hummus starter very much.
The food was good for the price, although the mixed platter costs over 30$, it is still ok given the location and cost to run the shop. Points of concern are that certain "guests" who may be known by the owners were seated and served considerably quicker than other "regular paying" guests. Overall, the food and service, are mediocre and nothing to crave another visit. Also, I was not the only one who noticed certain guests being greeted, seated, and served much quicker as one can see the reactions of other guests due to the seating organization.
The food was outstanding -- so flavorful and tender. My only concern was how long it took the food to come out.
It is delightful to find somewhere with such a different menu. Some items we thought might be a bit overlooked but the fried eggplant, the appetizers, and the pastries were beyond delicious. And add the ability to shop the market? Great—
THe quality of the food is excellent, there are no complaints.
Always a great evening - everything is delicious there. Price of a few items seem to be a bit high but always quality.
The place provided great experience with authentic Persian food.
Love the place and will always come back
Thank you !
Some kabobs are better than others. Lamb kabob was tasty but overdone compared to requested cooking, and not very tender.
The food is consistently good at Yekta. If the fresh bread is available, you should order that. But make sure it's made on that day. Kebabs are always a good bet.
We frequent this restaurant and on this occasion had a waiter who was inattentive (asked for more Persian bread and he did not bring it, did not ask how our meal was) and just 'not there', didn't refill drinks). This is not usual for this place but the waiter was obviously new. The food was great as always.
Yekta is fantastic. The food is great and the service is attentive. The hummus and Yekta special are our favorites. A great dinner place
decent food. service from the host and wait staff need lots of improvement.
Yekta Kabobi has a Middle Eastern atmosphere. We went on Thursday night and it was pretty busy. They had 2 lentil soups of the day. We tried them both. They were different but very good! I had a lamb shank in a delicious broth. I kept adding rice to the broth . What a meal. My companion had an eggplant and bean melange that she enjoyed very much. All in all, excellent.
Great food and service. Lots of gluten free options. Kabob was very moist and juicy. My friend got the salmon and said it was delicious.
The food was delicious and the waiter very friendly and helpful. A good place to have dinner with discussions. Love the dessert too
The main courses were excellent, as always. The hummus, however, was not good at all, which was unusual.
I have been several times but I took my family in from out of town this time. The food is delicious - always cooked perfectly. I love their hummus and kabobs. Also, the prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. The market next door has so many things to choose from. Worth a visit!
The food and service were very good. Most of the main course options are kabobs/grilled meats, and they are served with plenty of rice and vegetables. The entrees are a good value for the money, and the place is authentic and nice inside.
Very good. But my diet was limited so I didn’t get to try all their delicious flavors.
Our server was amazing. He was very attentive and gave us great advice when ordering! We loved the appetizer sampling of 3 different spreads. This was our first time and we will be back!
My lunch with my friend at Yekta was superb. The food was perfect, and service was good. The noise level was a bit too high for me, as I wear hearing aids and try to sit in a quieter spot. Overall the experience was very good.
If you like Middle Eastern, particularly Persian cuisine, I highly recommend Yekta for its authenticity, quality, and deliciousness of their dishes. I had the Kubeedah combination with barberry/saffron rice and it was done to perfection. It was rich in flavor and the rice was a wonderful accompaniment to the meat. I also added a basket of Taftoon and butter (flatbread). I finished off my lunch with a hot cup of Persian spiced tea.
Not bad, not great. Had great expectations but didn’t meet them. My wife said her friends all recommend it. I suggested she do a friends night out and give it another try.
We found this restaurant online and decided to take a chance. It was well worth it. Everything we ordered was brought to us beautifully plated and well prepared. We enjoyed the food so much we decided to go back three days later. My husband ordered the salmon kabobs the first time and I enjoyed them so much I ordered them the next time. I had the lamb kabob the first time and enjoyed it too so he ordered the lamb chops the second visit. The servings were a nice size too, and we ended up taking food home for a second meal each time.
Food was very good and the service was excellent. I also believe it was s terrific value as there were six adults in my party and we ordered drinks and appetizers and the total cost was very reasonable.
Always delicious. We favor the kabobs. It's also nice to get the fresh warm bread, but they are often out of it. Good for casual gatherings.
Place was small, so very loud.
Consistently good food and ambiance. One of our favorites. Service this time wasn’t as good as usual.
Food is always delicious. The kabobs are juicy and tasty. And they make very good rice.
Our meal was tasty and wonderful as always ! Have brought many friends who also love Yekta.
Food was delicious. Management of wait staff was lacking. Waiters cover tables in car ends of the room and are not able to be attentive.
We have been to Yekta Kabobi with both friends and family. We and our guests have never been disappointed. The food has always been delicious and plentiful. Only problem is the noisy atmosphere - people talking. In spite of that, we have been able to have a conversation with our table companions.
After dining, we have enjoyed visiting the adjoining market and frequently buying authentic Persian and Middle East delicacies.
Food was good. However thought it was petty to charge $1 for 1/2 and 1/2. Also refused to bring some of the white sauce for myself. Had to order bowl for four servings to get that. Finally, brought 4 small pieces of bread for the four of us. Good thing it was dry, so didn’t need more. So while the main course was good, it was overshadowed by the pettiness, making it less os a dinning experience.
Great venue. I love the variety on the menu. The market on the premises is a real treat.
Authentic cuisine, most dishes if not all are gluten free, fabulous rice options, beautiful atmosphere and great service. I have eaten there twice in the past couple of weeks, the food is delicious.
High quality food; perfect combination of spices and herbs. Beautiful presentation of food on an elegant china. Great dessert menu - the pomegranate cheesecake is excellent. Good wine selection to complement the meal. Very professional and accommodating servers.
Lots of interesting flavor combinations. Two of us tried the stews - the celery stew and the pomegranate molasses one. Different and tasty. Don't skip dessert - especially the pistachio brittle!
The best food fresh and epic in Rockville. Every time you go your never disappointed. It should be a 5 star restaurant
Everything was great! The food was excellent and we always have a good time there.
What a pleasant surprise! I never had Persian food and fought to go somewhere else but the majority ruled and all 9 of is ended up here. So glad we did. The portions were generous and the food was well seasoned and delicious. My only criticism was the limited dessert menu. However we tried 3 and weren’t disappointed. I will definitely be back.
