Once again, enjoyed myself, the fine food & my dining experience. I was with a friend who is always very particular in her needs -- has to have water without ice, sends food back to the kitchen to be rewarmed if not hot enough and on this occasion also requested tsaziki sauce and balsamic vinegar to accompany her swordfish --all of which was provided to her quickly and efficiently and with a smile--really extraordinarily grand service!
We came here for brunch on Sunday. This restaurant attracts a much older crowd, but my girlfriend and I had exceptional service and a great experience! The octopus salad and Salmon omelet were delicious. Not a very lively scene, but would highly recommend!
We had gone to Yefsi about four months before and had a great experience with both the food and the service, plus the place is lovely and right in the neighborhood. When we decided to go out for dinner with a friend who is local as well and looked forward to sharing our great local find with her. This was not the case. I will say that it was Valentine’s Day, so it was very busy. However, when we got there for 7 o’clock reservation, no one came to take a drink order for 20 minutes drinks took another 20 minutes. We placed our food order at the same time as drinks, 7:20, and appetizers did not appear till 8:45! The manager sent a round of cocktails at around 8:15, but still did not seem particularly concerned. Entrees appeared at 9:10, but the food was just so so. For a modest dinner that ran $75 per person with tip, with no dessert, coffee or extras, I am inclined not to run back there again. Disappointed! We thought we found a local gem!
Wow a gem great service very good food good bar scene and the employees very friendly and professional not rushed on a Saturday night
Can’t wait to go back saw a lot of big tables also seemed everybody was enjoying themselves
Really a pity!
Great local restaurant. Food is always reliably great. Nice patio in the back as well.
Food is fresh. Always take friends and everyone loves the restaurant
Yefsi is overpriced! The back room was cold and last time we were there the main room was too hot. The branzino portion was small for $38! Wine prices are high too and the service was not very good. We will not be returning.
Wonderful restaurant. Great food. Nice staff. Everything delicious.
Delicious food and charming waiter...all around great meal.
favorite local Greek restaurant.
Excellent food and service and nice atmosphere as well.
Been there many times and always a plus!!
Well prepared and flavorful Greek food which is hard to find on the UES. Seating for two can be very cramped without enough space between tables. Garden in the back is lovely and has a bit more space and less noise.
Food was amazing. Service was so so.
This is a great Greek place to eat at - everyone loves their foods even their Greek fishes. Plus they serve very well for drinks, foods, etc. Plus, kids as well as adult are very happy there!!
It was our second visit. Both times, our food was very good. Will be happy to dine there again.
Yefsi is my favorite neighborhood restaurant and perhaps also an overall favorite! The food is consistently excellent and portions are large. My favorite dish is the Organic Chicken with Lemon Potatoes but all the dishes are fantastic. Or go for an evening of Tapas and choose a variety of the appetizers ( great grilled Octopus)!
Never disappointed - go to Yefsi!
I know rent is high in New York and that makes everything more expensive but the value is just not there. Food is decent and service was decent but I can’t see myself there again anytime soon.
Octopus and shish kabob was a bit burned and tasted burned
Food is always fresh and delicious. Staff is friendly and make great recommendations.
Good food and service.
Was great until I saw waiter sneeze into his hand and continue serving. No washing,,
