Ya Ya's Euro Bistro - Overland Park
There is something about YaYa’s that is both sophisticated and whimsical. The atmosphere and menu are certainly sophisticated. Mosaic tile floors, stone columns and fabric covered wall panels are complemented by heavy beamed ceilings, hand blown chandeliers and curvy wrought-iron railings . The eclectic menu is inspired by a combination of American, French, Italian and Greek cuisines. Mediterranean Euro bites share the menu with oak fired pizzas baked in our own brick oven; rich, creative pastas and an array of the freshest seafood dishes and innovative meat entrees.
Perhaps the whimsical is the name itself and what it conjures up. Yia Yia means grandmother. The restaurant is actually named after co-founder Paul Khoury’s own grandmother, who as the wife of an ambassador, traveled in many European countries gathering ideas for her own special recipes.

Has a business lunch here and the service was absolutely incredible. She nailed it from start to finish. Food was very delicious and got to the table quickly. Highly recommend
Campo Linda chicken fabulous as usual!
Molly was our server and with my wife's many serious food allergies she was in control which allows my wife to relax and be less nervous about food mix ups. A great date night had.
This is one of our regular go to spots. We are always guaranteed a great experience.
The Halibut special was not worth the $38. It was the special for the night served in a salad bowl. The halibut was over cooked
Excellent food, excellent service! Molly our waitress was fabulous! We will ask for her when we come back!
Excellent food and selection. Especially liked the pasta serving size options. Rafe provided excellent service!
Great election of salads on their luncheon menu. Lovely patio on a summer day.
This was our first time at Ya Ya's since it moved. The Food, service and ambiance was just like the old location only better. I missed the Duck Comfit, and Chocolate Soufle; apparently sesonal items. We will be back, and recommend to our friends.
Went for Mother's Day brunch. It was amazing and awesome in every way!
Best Mother's Day brunch in town! Ya Ya's never fails to impress with food and experience!
Made reservations for the Mother’s Day brunch and it was awesome...will definitely do it again!!
The only negative about Ya Ya's brunch is that your stomach isn't big enough to try everything, because everything you do try is delicious. It was a bit chaotic on Mother's Day, but they handled it very well and caught and dealt with errors usually before we even realized an error was made.
Such a great vibe, wonderful service and amazing entrees!
We came to celebrate Mother’s Day. My husband got a filet and my mother in law and myself got one of the specials. The special was Haddock with asparagus, some other vegetables. It was delicious! My husband loved his food too, especially the mashed potatoes. Great service as well.
Mother’s Day dinner
Great food & even better service! Would highly recommend this restaurant!
It was the first time we (3 of us) ate at this location. We had lunch. One had the CBS sandwich, and two had combos (1 soup and salad, 1 daily special sandwich and salad). The service (Larry), was excellent. He started us with bread and refilled drinks often. Very pleasant gentleman. The food was very good. The soup was a generous portion, especially for a combo plate. The specialty turkey sandwich I had was good but I tried a bit of my friend's CBS chicken sandwich and would definitely order that instead next time. The salads were very good, mine the pear and avocado and my wife's the salmon (our friend had fries with hers). We all felt it was a great experience and would like to go again soon.
We will definitely recommend Ya Ya's to our friends and family! 13 years ago we had our first date at your restaurant when it was located in Hawthorne Plaza :) We live in Mission, KS so 135th is a bit of a drive for us but it is well worth it!
We had a wonderful meal and Lauren, our waitress, did an absolutely outstanding job! The restaurant was packed! It was a prom night so a very busy night. I had the salmon over sweet potatoes and kale. My husband special ordered the seabass over a mushroom risotto. We would definitely recommend the restaurant and most definitely, ask for Lauren.
The food here and the staff is usually amazing even when it’s crazy busy. Must have been an “off” night because the hostesses were visibly disengaged and not at all friendly - unusual for this restaurant. It was a busy Friday night but that’s the norm here. even the wait staff seemed like it wasn’t clicking as smoothly. Will definitely. go back because it’s yummy food and nice ambiance and the staff is normally just great.
Yaya’s is still one of my favorite restaurants. The food is always perfectly prepared and the service is outstanding. The ambiance is great and always live to go there whenever possible. I had the combo lunch with salmon salad and the soup of the day. The salmon salad is always superb! They have a great happy hour as well!
Absolutely love this restaurant. A family favorite. Sunday Brunch is outstanding as well. Haven't found a dish I don't like yet.
Reservation time was honored and we had no wait. Staff was courteous and friendly. Food was delivered as ordered, cold and hot as appropriate. Even though the restaurant was busy, we were not rushed to leave.
Dinner with friends. We started with the Calamari appetizer. The Peisporter wine was fabulous. I had the Cobb salad. Very good! My wife had the Meatball Special, also wonderful. We all were too full for dessert. Great service and a great evening out.
The food and service are always wonderful. It might not fit everyone’s budget for everyday dining, but it is well worth the price for the quality of food and choices offered.
Then menu isn’t overwhelming and the service is fantastic.
Very pleasant. I wish I knew our waiter’s name. Young man, strawberry red/blonde hair. He was great!!
When we first arrived it was a very long time before anyone offered us drinks despite the fact that the restaurant was not crowded at all. We arrived st 4:30 on a Tuesday.
I took my family their for Easter Brunch. As you would expect for a holiday, it was very busy during the noontime rush. The brunch food lines could be long and didn’t flow well with people coming and going, work staff, waiting area, etc. this may only be an issue during a holiday rush since it was our first visit. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our waitress was outstanding and the food was very good.
Went for Easter brunch and was very impressed. The buffet was high quality with several options. Shrimp
Cocktail was so good!!
Excellent Easter Brunch with family. Great food & service!
Wonderful food, friendly staff our server Eleni was great! Recommended for Sunday brunch
The food was exeptional, but unfortunatley we had some really bad service. Maybe a new waiter, too many tables or he was having a really bad day.
We both had Caesar salads. Without meat, they are very boring. No croutons. Very little cheese. Service was very good. Our server was very upbeat, pleasant, and efficient.
I like Ya Ya's and think its a solid restaurant, but I think the issue is the cost. It's slightly costly and the food never blows me away. Good not great. The patio is wonderful and the happy hour is the best part. Definitely worth going, but for me, its not a common visit.
Ya Ya's has always been one of my faves, and it didn't disappoint this time. Love the food selection and the overall service and ambiance of the restaurant.
The reason for my average rating this time:
1) We were in on April 11th for our Anniversary - which was indicated when we made our reservation and not one mention of it. We weren’t expecting anything free or some big production but I simple acknowledgement of it would have been nice. Otherwise, just don’t ask if it is a special occasion.
2) We came to Ya Ya’s specifically because we love the chocolate soufflé and when we went to order it with our dinner were told it was discontinued. Bummer. It was a fav!
3) my husband ordered the spicy pasta dish (sorry I can’t remember the name). Anyway, NO mention of goat cheese in the description and he has a huge aversion to soft cheeses - especially goat cheese. He started to send it back but then hated to complain so I traded my meal with him because I like goat cheese. So he ate my lobster pasta dish.
4) Our server was very nice and polite but you could tell he was either nervous or new. Overall he did a nice job only improvement would be watching for dirty plates. Ours sat there for several passes of servers walking by (not just ours).
Anyway, we will be back but just wanted to let you know that our experience wasn’t what we have grown to expect at Ya Ya’s. We aren’t complainers but also know that people can’t change things if they don’t have feed back. The biggest upset was the goat cheese. That should definitely be listed for that item. Thanks so much for reading my review.
I took my wife there for her Birthday we would of liked to have dinner on the patio but her Allergies were bothering her so bad so we had a wonderful dinner inside we have not eaten there for awhile I almost forgot how good the food is there.
Had a most enjoyable lunch - the special was delicious. As the restaurant was not busy we were able to say on after we had finished and paid for our meals to catch up on our news.
