Yauatcha never dissapoints
Tolles Restaurant mit exzellentem Essen und fantastischem Service. Sehr zu empfehlen! Unbedingt jedoch reservieren.
I would definitely recommend it to a friend, however because of the food. The music is too loud to be possible to have a proper conversation, and is a restaurant where people from all range of ages go to. In addition, the service is not at the level of the food.
My partner and I had a lovely meal here. Staff were all friendly and welcoming, and gave excellent advice over the amount of food we needed to order! The okra, aubergine and green beans were fantastic, and the ribs just melted off the bone. The only disappointing thing is that we couldn't eat more! We will certainly be back for the duck!
Most of our food was delicious - though I would give the Edamame dumplings and Chilli squid a miss. However, the whole meal was ridiculously overpriced. We ended up paying £72 for 6 dim sum dishes between us. The most disappointing thing was that as soon as we sat down we were asked if we wanted water and were charged £9 a bottle! This is a trick that we are used to avoiding in countries like Italy but I have never known it to be played in the UK and we feel extremely cheated. Looking around the restaurant at least 50% of the tables had this bottled water on their table and I find it hard to believe that many would have been willing to pay £9 for it. Also, the water was not on the drinks menu so you had no idea how much it would be until the bill arrived. The included 13% service charge was the highest I've ever known and the whole experience just made us feel like we'd been taken for a ride.
Amazing food, terrible service, mediocre atmosphere, very expensive
Poor service. Late table allocation. We were not offered a drink on the house while waiting. We had to request the table we had booked instead of being given the first one which was free. Issues with the toilets meant we had to use the toilets next door at Duck and Rice. Considering the bill it was very very poor. Better service in Chinatown dim sum.
Too noisy. Uncomfortable seating. Waiting more than half an hour between appetizers and main. Food was really mediocre and overpriced.
Good food, great for sharing. We were downstairs which was a little loud
In the past this was our favorite place to return to each time we visited London. Our last visit will be just that, our last. The place has lost its edge. The food was okay, not great as it had been in the many years that we have dined there. We could get that quality of food at any number of places. The service was chaotic with too many servers standing about, not enough management and a bewildering mix up on every course. We blame the training staff. The servers were pleasant, they just didn't know what to do or how to do it. There was a malfunction in the lights when we arrived and it felt like we were eating under a spotlight. We asked for it to be turned down, but we told there was a problem. By the end of our meal the lights had dimmed, but our anticipated relaxing experience had been ruined. Great pity. We have recommended Yauatcha to hundreds of people. Now we will warn them off.
Excellent food as expected.
Service left much to be desired. It was patchy (our order for drinks was forgotten) and slightly irritating (our waitress asked at least 4 times whether we had any food allergies. Why ask more than once?)
Disabled access to toilets was appalling. We were taken downstairs by a service lift that had customers’ coat rack in it and was clearly meant for goods, not people.
The above is not what one would expect from a premium restaurant like Yauatcha. Disabled access to toilets shouldn’t consist of a goods’ lift that doubles as the restaurant’s coat check.
Food, excellent. Everything else: lacking greatly.
Yauatcha needs to up its game in the areas mentioned above. Most disappointing
I would say 50% of our guests were disappointed with their main meal. The dim sum was amazing but the chef’s recommended meal wasn’t great - the noodle dish with prawns and scallops. They didn’t see why there was a chef’s specialty. Atmosphere was great and the service was fab.
Excellent venue for special occasion; wonderful dining experience !
Service was a bit on a slow side, and we didn't feel we got enough attention. But when we did get attention it was good.
Chose this restaurant as they have good vegan options however when I ordered the vegan tofu I was told it was dry. Alright, tofu can be dry so I asked for some hoi sin on the side (which is usually vegan) and got told they don't do sauce on the side? and that is has oyster sauce in it?? For an establishment that comes out with 2 sauces and some pickled cucumber before we even order, how can you not do sauce on the side when you've literally just bought me sauce on the side. I was so excited to eat here and even cast aside the price point (as being vegan the options are always sparce) however I dissapointed with the fact that I could have made better food at home. The only redemption of the night was the mushroom dim sum.
Amazing food - best dim sum in London
Used to have great service and a reason to go. The service today was so-so.
No flexibility for allergies even though we were told there will be prior to booking. Manager made up during dessert but waiter very rude and unaccommodating.
Poor value for money. The scallop dumplings were good, but all of the other dishes we had were extremely greasy - the broccoli so much so that we couldn’t eat it. Overall the food was ok, but certainly not worth the prices charged. The ambience of the restaurant was great, informal and friendly. The tables and chairs were uncomfortably low, even for me someone of my height (5 feet 4 inches). I wouldn’t return.
Food was amazing but I wasnt impressed with the service as we only had our table for 2 hours and the food menu took 10 mins to come
I could get better food from my local Chinese
The food was great! The service however was very disappointing.
Nice food but not filling and a tad expensive but nice place and decent service
I love this restaurant! Food is so delicious and the service fantastic!
Great food, not necessarily better than chinatown dim sum, bt packed in a trendy environment.
Lovely food, love staff, nice ambience.
Good food. Drinks a little on the expensive side and tables are close together so you feel a little lack of privacy. 13% service charge is a little high for service received and I still believe in all restaurants this should be suggested not added and people almost guilted into paying. US only add to the bill for tables if 8 or more and total bill for food/drink consumed.
Food was good, but used to be much better based on previous visits
It was really amazing
Food was cold. Staff we nice but service was slow
Terrible waitress. Had to ask multiple times to get things.
The tables are extremely close together so you don’t have any privacy.
There was a kids party behind us which I didn’t expect from this type of restaurant, they were throwing paper aeroplanes around and behaving badly.
I ordered a drink which I saw the waitress hand to the table next to ours (I watched her because I thought it was mine as it looked like what I had ordered), watched the girls on the table drink a bit of it and then realised it was the wrong drink, sent it back, the waitress put it back on the bar then it was put on a tray and brought over to me! Disgraceful.
The service was slow and it was very noisy. Would not recommend you can get better dim sum in other restaurants.
Very lovely place, good food, attentive waitress. Would recommend
Very poor service
While the quality of the food was good the service was not. The hostesses were not welcoming and our waitress was slapdash and her English was only so-so. Given the 13% service charge I expect better.
Very good as usual. Every time we come to london we eat at Yauatcha. It is our Asian go to restaurant away from Australia.
Friendly but somehow unprofessional service that would be appropriate for a pizza place, not this type of restaurant. Food was nice though.
