Food was so tasty, best bao in London!!
Service was slow and the waiters and waitresses were inattentive, sadly.
This was the worst experience here for us and we’ve been regular diners for 10 years!
We were ignored the majority of the time until we spoke to a manager who came on shift 2 hours after we arrived.
The food was cold and came to the table intermittently! The squid was uneceptably too tough.
Very disappointing......we won’t be returning any time soon!
Disappointing. Our order got lost in the system and it was 45 minutes before we got our food. Food itself was good, but service not good enough, particularly at this price level.
A great evening but it was a bit draughty
Not sure if this was the air con or because we were sat near the door to the kitchen. Didn't spoil the evening though. The macarons are exquisite!
I was very disappointed with the lunch I had this time. We were seated downstairs where there is no natural light so it was very dark. The service was quite slow and when the food arrived it was lukewarm. Was quite disappointed as the last time I had eaten there which was a couple of years ago I thought the food had been excellent. It was expensive for what it was.
The service was disorganised and poor. All throughout our meal, it was very difficult to get any attention from any waiting staff whether we were ordering drinks, food or trying to get the bill. The restaurant did appear to have an adequate number of wait staff but they did not seem interested in providing a good service.
We have been here many times, but today was exceptional. Everything was lovely, especially the venison puff balls. The only downside was the slow service, the tea arrive at the end of the meal and the beer was
intermittent. Then they charged us twice for tea! But the food was great.
Everytime again, good Food, nice service and amazing desert.
We were given a table which constantly got the draught of cold air from the door.
We initially wanted to order 2 vegan menus and 1 normal menu but the manager was rude and not accommodating in any way shape of form so we ended up choosing 3 vegan menus.
We ordered water as we sat down which arrived AFTER the first course.
We ordered sake which was left decanted on our table and we had to pour ourselves - the service was lacking/absent
We were told that the park choi was individual portions but when it came to our table, the waitress attempted to pass it off as a sharing dish so they were skimping on the menu we ordered.
We ordered the vegan menu but were offered a vegetarian dessert (one containing dairy) even though it was explicitly said at the start that I had a dairy allergy.
When asking for our coats, the waitress came back on dumped them on our chair rather than take time to give to us as she did for other tables.
Overall - one of the worst services we have ever experienced in London.
Great food! Great atmosphere!!
The last time I was at Yauatcha was in 2017. When I came back last Saturday, I was a bit dissapointed. We came in and had to wait at the bar which is fine. Nobody took our coats and we had to stand at the bar for 20 minutes with our coats over our arms. When I have to pay 14 pounds for one drink, I expect a better service.
Our ordered duck was chewy, the 500ml wine we ordered came only a bit chilled and of course was warm after half an our standing in a class caraffe on the table. Why not cooling it?!
We waited over 20 minutes for our espresso.
All in all, the service are not reflecting these high prices.... We didn't feel well taken care of. I'm probably not coming back....
Felt disappointed as table wasn’t ready on time!!
we were seated 40 mins later and there was no apology
We were also asked to leave as table was booked for another booking so felt rushed
Please don’t let this happen again as we felt embarrassed from our business clients
Food was good
Had an excellent meal here, the food was exceptional & we particularly liked the dim sum, soft shell crab & sea bass. Service was a little hit & miss but it was a very busy Saturday night.
Amazing as always, been coming here for years and it never disappoints!
I love Yauatcha. We have been several times. The food is always excellent. It did not disappoint. However, the service this time was extremely slow, and they got our order wrong. We will still be going back. The food is too good.
Fab location, excellent food and service.
It was really great. Never disappoints !
It s always good but unfortunatly the staff have changed. Nobody Come for give you your coat when you go on.
We were celebrating my boyfriends birthday, arrived to the restaurant was not asked if we would like to hang our coats, it was raining a bit outside, had to keep my winter wettish jacket on my chair. Ordered drinks, all good, had to wait for someone to take our food order, after finally ordered received first starter! We ate it, just no second starter or even a drink, chased server to order another round of drinks as was sitting with nothing on the table:D
Later got our second starter, almost got main courses before the starter, was a bit confused so they took it back the mains....
anyway, experience was not the best, so did not ordered dessert even was my boyfriends birthday where I have left a note about it, would of be still nice to get at least macaroon with Birthday message which table next to us got it and we not.
We had the pre-theatre menu which was quite good value and we were completely full at the end and we managed to get to our show on time. I found that the service was odd. Lots of people milling around but actually not particularly great service. The food was good but it didn’t seem to be Michelin star standard. It didn’t blow me away. Could have been down to the menu choice we went with but still....
We were expecting a very higher level food. We were very disappointed. We had the £40 menu. The appetizers were good but the main course very banal. The dessert were not good especially the passion fruit-black sesame cake. The drinks were original and tasty (soft cocktails). Too bad we waited 20 minutes to have them. The service was very poor and not professional. The waitress was not pleasant at all. She never came to see us and check everything was ok. We waited the food for a long time. And this restaurant is so noisy. The atmosphere is more like a club downstairs than a restaurant. How this restaurant can have a one star Michelin?
A very big disappointment.
Service was awful!! It wasn’t like that before but this time they were rude and slow.
Food was perfect as always.
Great food and such great service!,
Food quality has dropped significantly. Been eating here for 10 years. Menu has been simplified some of the great dishes have gone.
Feels like the accountants have taken over.the kitchen
Had the rudest and most miserable waitress known to earth called Eliza
We were so disappointed with our experience here. As our wedding anniversary meal, we wanted things to be special, understandably. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were not waited on for the first 40 minutes. We weren't able to order for over 45 minutes. Our drinks didn't come until close to an hour after we first sat down and our food didn't arrive for about 70 minutes after we first sat down. When trying to order, we asked the servers a number of times if we could order and they either ignored us or were very rude - even a glass of water would have been nice to keep us going. When the food arrived, it was very underwhelming and quite tasteless, and I think the experience so far had put a bad taste in our mouths. We could see that we were not the only people in the restaurant who were having this experience, with the diners next to us having waited close to 40 minutes between their starter and main course. We'd have liked more than one drink with the meal, but because of the incredibly slow service this wasn't possible. When we asked for the bill, we spoke to the server about our experience and he didn't seem particularly bothered. We asked what the problem had been and he told us that they had switched to a new system this morning and it had caused delays. I said to him that I thought it would have been good if they could have communicated that with us so at least we knew, and he agreed. To make matters worse, the bill was very expensive for the level of food and experience we had. The staff seemed to be so irate with each other and having arguments as orders were messed up near our table, not giving the greatest general vibe. Its such a shame as we were really looking forward to this meal, but would be very reluctant to go again, even if this was just a one off...
It was my husband's birthday and there was not even a tiny attention for this. the service was so long, we needed to ask refill of water every time and sometimes we needed to ask again because we were left for 15-20 mins. The service was not very smooth although we arrived at a time when the restaurant was barely full.
Good food, but venue too poud to my liking.
Tolles Essen und tolle atmosphere ! Super nettes Personal
One of the guests is vegetarian but only got to half way through he had his dishes.
We tried the chefs tasting menu - love the truffle dim sums and the venison puff and the giant prawn dim sum. Duck pancakes weren’t great though.
Great food, lovely atmosphere, staff friendly and attentive. Very busy so book if you plan to visit.
Our table wasn’t comfortable, cold draft of air coming from entrance door, too much noise and commotion next to us, inadequate space on the table for the dishes we ordered!
Go for dim sum

Celebrating my two friends getting married.
Bar area separate to main dining area, facing a frosted glass wall 1ft in front of diners. No offer of alternative or complimentary drink etc in spite of immediate complaint. Left the restaurant and ignored upon leaving, unlike any other Hakassan owned restaurant we have visited.
Avoid and head to Hanway Place instead.
Not quite salty food and noisy environment. But service was very nice!
Very good food, not very good front desk staff. Sat us upstairs in spite of me asking twice to be downstairs and having booked in advance as it was for a special occasion. Upstairs is fine for tea and a cake but it’s not as lively as downstairs in the evening. At well over £100 for dinner for 2 - with only 2 beers - did not want to be sat in what feels like an upmarket airport lounge.
Amazing fusion food and lovely atmosphere. Remember to book as it is very busy
