Yauatcha City is an all-day dim sum teahouse, where friends and family gather to catch up over a wide selection of dim sum, wok dishes, tea and cocktails. To complement the cuisine, the drinks menu comprises nearly 40 types of tea, as well as cocktails inspired by Chinese ingredients and a broad wine and Champagne list.
Yauatcha’s first standalone patisserie, Yauatcha Patisserie, is located just below the restaurant, where Chinese heritage and modern European cooking techniques have inspired the pastry team to create a range of unique macarons, petits gateaux and chocolates.
Won’t be going again. Very average for the money, poor service.
I’m general I loved the experience but I didn’t like when the bill came , they discounted already from my account £150 because of the reservation doesn’t make any sense
I just don’t recommend the restaurant because of that ....
Was a great night and the ambience was great as well as the food
Excellent food and good service, attractive setting and a place for a nice evening out
Lovely set up! Staff were lovely and polite and able to help make recommendations from the menu
Will be coming back!
Amazing! Can’t wait to come back!
Food was ok but the service felt very rushed. To the point that it was noticeable that all the food came and the table overflowed and the bill was put down, without being requested, mid-desert and then pushed to pay and move very quickly. I understand that tables have to be turned around and there is high demand, but perhaps don't offer the set menu e.g. the harmony menu for a two hour sitting as the rushed service took the edge off.
The undercover seating provided and the well thought out seating arrangement was very good, and the food great as ever. Staff were very attentive.
It is actually good but if you eat only Halal/Kosher or are a pure pescetarian then this place may not be for you as the prawns has chicken stock in it and there is no guarantee that there's no contamination.
Service overall is fantastic, very honest, skilled staff.
Loved the ambience
Even the outdoor seating is well heated.
Price aint that bad either.
The food was brilliant. We got the set menu for 2 and it was plenty to feed the 3 of us. The only downside was that a lot of the dishes on the menu had extra charges attached - which I guess makes sense but had we gone for those kind of options, we’d have spent a lot more. Even without, it was still rather expensive but so tasty that it’s almost allowable. The £50 per head charge was unnecessary. Also they have heaters so it’s actually really cozy and warm sitting down!
Had a lunch set with choices of dim sum, a main, rice dish and dessert. But most of the popular items cost extra £2-£6, which is a bit cheeky, so a set of £29 in reality cost £40 if you don’t choose the standard items!!! However, the service was amazing!
The service really made this experience- I was already expecting amazing food and cocktails but had been told the service didn’t quite match up. However, the service was excellent. We were moved to a better table with a heater when we asked and at the end of the meal they found us space on the balcony to finish our drinks without rushing. Through the meal the service was efficient but not in your face. The whole evening was perfect- thank you!
A bit pricey, but the food was absolutely delicious.
Food was a little overpriced and they bumped up the service charge to 14% BUT the food was delicious and wine was great. Would go again.
The food was great and staff were really efficient and always there to help.
Awesome food! Absolutely loved it!
Will come back soon
Really nice dinner, surprise birthday dessert too. Lovely!
Delicious food, great attentive service. Lovely be dining out again and the patio heaters kept us warm on an unseasonably chilly May evening.
Be careful if booking a table via Open Table. Deposit was taken from my account 2 days before arrival and when presented with the bill this had not been factored in. Under normal circumstances I would not have noticed this transaction in my bank account - sheer fluke. Otherwise I would have paid the bill in total.
Food amazing........ a little pricey but location and setting made up for it.
Food was good but service was average and very slow. Came for a business lunch and had to leave without the dessert we had had paid for as part of the set menu as we ran out of time... and we'd all already had to push back meetings!
Overpriced for what it was - especially the bottle of prosecco we ordered without looking at the drinks menu that was £60.
The food was fine, but a bit overpriced for the value. Servers were attentive and the outdoors terrace was nice. My main issue is with the woman at the front desk on the first floor. She told me I had to download the NHS app to check-in, but then proceeded to allow the next customer to check-in without downloading the NHS app. When I called her out, this woman just glared at me and said it was protocol to download the app. When I asked her why she wasn't making the other customer download the app, she just straight up glared at me without saying anything. She couldn't even come up with a reason and just glared at me until I left. Highly unprofessional and ruined the entire meal for me.
Stir fry rib eye was extremely salty to a point that I couldn’t eat more than 3 pieces and had to chuck down 3 glasses of water afterwards. The food was as bad as my previous visit after they opened up terrace seating and the value of the food is just impossible. Ordered still water and gave me sparkling. You should be ashamed
Yauatcha is our go-to for special occasions! This was the first visit in the outdoor area and it was absolutely perfect. The vegan options are incredible, I loved every bite. The service was impeccable and friendly as always. Can't wait to go again soon.
Great food and great service!!
It’s a great setting and truly delicious food so well worth it in my opinion and especially for special occasions.
Ok but not value for money. Service was poor and unprofessional
We ate outside which was lovely. The food is great but it is super expensive.
Due to Covid restrictions, the restaurant only has outdoor dining with heaters. They have tried to cram as many tables on their terraces as possible. There was definitely no 1 metre separation between tables.
The food is delicious & the service is impeccable. For special occasions, we would highly recommend.
The heating outside was lovely! That combined with the service and excellent food made a special birthday even better!
Great food and the service was exceptional!
Service, food and ambience really nice but it’s pretty expensive. For outdoor dining it was perfect- covered really well and heated too.
The food is very basic and not reflecting the quality expected from the prices.
Firstly door man/security was lovely and so was the lady on the door, can’t say the same for as soon as we sat down.
Really disappointed!! Went with my girls on a Saturday night and we was all really excited. Food was okay but the mains were tiny, ur better off getting smaller plates as they were a lot better.
We was served twice throughout our booking! A waiter come to the table to take the order and to drop the bill. The food was given to us and nobody came back to check in or to ask for more drinks.
Once we finished the food and was talking amongst ourselves you would’ve expect the table to be cleared considering how many small places Japanese cuisine involves. We finished at 45 minutes later the bill was dropped on the table ( we had 20 mins left on the table) with our plates still there. Even then they was not removed.
Rubbish, rubbish music, rubbish service.
Such lovely staff.. very helpful and kind
The food tasted AMAZING
Can’t wait to go again soon.
Really lovely food, amazing cocktails. Very expensive but lovely
One of the best restaurants in London. Class.
Very nice food, friendly and efficient service ! Strongly recommend!
The service was slow for drinks, in the 2.5hrs we was there we only received 3 drinks. The starter came out before our first drink!! Atmosphere was lovely and heaters kept us warm. The mood was okay, I found mine very salty (rib eye stir fry) so wasn’t a massive fan. I wouldn’t return again but it was nice to say I’ve been. I get better service in my local pub and yauatcha has a 14% service charge!!
Service was awful. Waiter looked disinterested and didn’t help when we asked for recommendations.
Good food and a warm place to sit outside. Could definitely do with more spaces between the tables!
