Yauatcha City is an all-day dim sum teahouse, where friends and family gather to catch up over a wide selection of dim sum, wok dishes, tea and cocktails. To complement the cuisine, the drinks menu comprises nearly 40 types of tea, as well as cocktails inspired by Chinese ingredients and a broad wine and Champagne list.
Yauatcha’s first standalone patisserie, Yauatcha Patisserie, is located just below the restaurant, where Chinese heritage and modern European cooking techniques have inspired the pastry team to create a range of unique macarons, petits gateaux and chocolates.
Birthday celebration, not a great table !! I requested a nice table xx
We sat outside on a hot summers evening and the ambiance was perfect! Every person in my party of 5 was very pleased with their food. Customer service was also very good.
Great food and loved the options on the menu. The only downside is service was quite slow. We were sat for a while until we were attended to and long wait between each course. Our waiter was fantastic though
It felt overpriced for what it was. The food was okayish and the amount was hearty, but the cost of a set menu was high, especially as you don't have to stray far to incur additional charges.
Service was very slow and a meal that should have taken an hour was dragged out over 2.5h
Fabulous food and excellent service. Can’t wait to go back!
The services was not the best. We was ignored for most of our time there by the waiter, which was very unpleasant. Felt like they disregarded us. Other than that the food was lovely.
Service with drinks very poor. Waited 40 mins for drinks and arrive after appetisers
Very hot if at back of restaurant
Good menu with lots to choose from. A la carte too. The food was delicious, arrives piping hot to the table.
On the day we went the service was appalling, no continuity, disappearing waiter, wrong orders arrived and very slow. Disappointed.
Fantastic food, excellent service, lovely restaurant.
Really good food and service we all had a lovely time
Great food and service! Would recommend to friends and family.
Fabulous place! We love it here and took friends for their first time. They loved it too. We had the Harmony menu and there was so much food. The dim sum are the best we’ve ever had, with so much choice of fillings. The noodles are delicious too and they were happy to adapt some dishes for my husband who has a seafood allergy. The place was buzzing, brilliant cocktails and atmosphere. Our waitress provided excellent service with the perfect balance of being attentive without rushing us. Looking forward to going again!
Great location with amazing food and great service.
Best food ever in an amazing location
Such a treat. Highly recommended a set menu option.
We sat on the terrace with on a nice summer evening. Doesn't feel crowded even though it's in the middle of London.
Excellent food marred by a level of service that is unacceptable for a restaurant at this price point. Dishes ordered not delivered, steamed rice served before it had actually been heated in the steamer and an incorrect item added to the bill.
For a hundred pound a head bill with just two alcoholic drinks one expects better, especially when a 14.5% service charge is included to run salt in the wounds.
The food is excellent but marred by poor organisation which makes this very bad value for money. I will not be returning.
What an amazing and tasty meal we had! The service was flawless too. The beautiful weather made it even better :)
Such good quality & portion sizes are great, chilled and good atmosphere. Also nice outside seating! ⭐️
Cheung fun was not normal one, but the one which has deep fried bread inside. I love it.
Delicious food as always. Prawn bean curd dim sum is the best
Fabulous food. Fabulous service. Sun has a lovely vibe
Delicious food and a lovely setting to have dinner with my family again after so long. Expensive but not overpriced, worth the money.
They did not have sauvignon blanc wine nor chardonnay by the glass. They didn't have ghiosas.
The place is very noisy and very expensive. We payed for 2 people 194 pounds
I will always love Yauatcha! It's the best, the Hakka is the best drink 🤍✨
Great venue and huge portions with the ceremony menu
The food was good and so was the atmosphere but the service was very slow. Three hours in and we still hadn’t had dessert. We opted for one of the set menus but due to slowness we had to leave and skip dessert. We mentioned it to the waiter when we got our bill (which we had to get up to get because no one was coming to our table) and he didn’t even offer to deduct the desserts from the bill. A shame as food was really nice!
Not bad but that's very poor value for an expensive restaurant.
Absolutely delicious food and service as always! We always have a great time here and Hakkasan! The food is divine and always super fresh! Will be back soon xx
Food was amazing, the set menus are good value for money and the location is very pretty - service was okay and stand offish
Food was ok. not amazing and was over priced and dessert wasn’t very nice
A truly terrible dining experience.
The food is barely average and comparable to any high street chain. They sell themselves as an upscale restaurant however, don’t be fooled. Nothing about this place is upscale except the price, which I think is brought up a lot in comments because it’s so contrasting to what you get.
The staff are not interested, clearly don’t want to be there and offer probably the worst restaurant experience you could ask for.
Wait times for everything are long from ordering food, drinks and arrival and if you’re hoping to have attentive service look else where. No one checked in once to see how the food was or if we wanted anything additional. Also, once the plates had been cleared away no one came over to see if we would like anything else or would like to pay for more than 30 minutes at which point I’d had enough and left.
Finally, and this shouldn’t be surprising when in context with the rest of the experience, the bill was wrong and I ended up having to return to point out items I had not ordered were on the bill.
All in all not good enough, they need to get it right the first time. I will not be returning and would advise anyone I know to go elsewhere.
From the moment we entered the staff were outstanding and continued throughout followed by the amazing food. Will definitely be going again
Unfortunately had not a very good experience:
Ordered three sets of dim sum dumplings. Two came after a reasonable waiting time, one hour into the sitting we asked where the rest of the order was. The waiter said you had everything!
One more dish came and the fourth one 1.25h later was a duplicate!!!
Being that it was the first weekend out of a lockdown it’s no shock that Yauatcha was busy / service was slow. Cocktails took longer than the food to arrive and the food was cold!
We went for the £65 menu and we bit of more than we could chew. This is a lot of food and it's all delicious.
However, it seems the venue did bite of a bit more than it could chew as well. Although everybody was doing their best and remained friendly throughout, Yauatcha was clearly understaffed. Waiters as well as FOH were running around like headless chickens and were struggling to keep waiting times to acceptable levels. You can't fault them on the food though. It's absolutely brilliant and portions are generous.
Was sat down for ages after ordering drinks and was still waiting half an hour later with nothing
Food was cold staff was rude this restaurant I’d very overrated
Never again. That was the worst dining experience ever. We weren’t the only ones. All four tables were upset. Sad first night out for dining.
We had trouble getting a taxi so was a bit late, I phoned them and they said that was fine. When we got there we were put outside on a completely different level with no heaters and the lady was quite rude about it. We were told if another table became available they’d move us back inside. However we could see from where we were there were several spare tables inside and weren’t offered to us. The food was lovely but we were really made to feel like we were on the naughty step which ruined the whole experience. If we hadn’t paid £100 deposit we would have left.
Poor service. Waited thirty minutes in between each order. Not enough staff and dinner took 4 hours.
