Best fried chicken we have ever eaten! Amazing sides
Excellent food. Best Chicken & Waffles ever!!
Loved everything about YardBird. Food came out quickly. Waitstaff was very attentive and helpful. I ordered chicken and biscuits and it was YUMMY!!! You can’t go wrong with anything you order.
I chose this restaurant for its location and yelp reviews. It was a disaster from the start. We were sat and waited 20 minutes for the waiter to return after placing the menu's. I had to get up once to find someone to just come back to the table. The service was just slow and unacceptable. Then when asked for the valet to be stamped the waiter took the four valet stubs and didn't return for 10 minutes. I had to get up and find him. He told us he gave to the outside valet man. When we went outside the valet told us, no there is no validation and charged us all for $10.00 valet. This contradicted what the waiter told us. This was a business lunch and never again.
I planned a birthday vacation in Miami and my niece and sister came with me. I read some great reviews on Yardbird, so I made reservations. Being from the South, I wanted to see if the food was truly a replica of food at home. The food, atmosphere, and the wait staff were awesome. Our waiter, Joey, was awesome. He was very helpful and attentive. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in Miami!!
Our experience was a good, drinks and food very good, servers were all attentive and focused on making the dining experience a pleasant one. However, the young lady at the entrance (front desk) was less than pleasant or welcoming, hopefully it’s addressed especially since that’s the start of your experience.
The cost was too expensive!
They also charge some sort of tourist fee.
Book. If you want to go on a specific day, book. This place is ALWAYS busy. It is loud and buzzing; the menu is good with a wide selection of food and drink; the staff are all friendly and helpful. And the beignets are AMAZING!
Hostess does not seat first us with reservations. Sits another walk in instead!!! Clueless, Hostess is first impression of restaurant went down heel from there. Waitress not attentive either. Asked for bill, 15 minutes later I get up and get manager to give me bill. Was nice enough to comp $17 after I told him my experience..
Excellent service! Portions are to big but that’s always my complaint. Great variety! Spiced watermelon and home made maple syrup was outstanding! Chicken was good too.
Amazin southern food - great service
Walked over to the restaurant and couldn’t imagine that the restaurant was going to pop up out of a rather mundane residential neighborhood, but what a pleasant surprise. Service was excellent, and thank goodness the waiter advised that most of the plates served 2-3. The St.Louis Style ribs were some of the best I have ever had. The chicken waffles and watermelon were great fun. Short ribs were an excellent gluten free option. Special occasion pricing but would definitely go again!
The chicken was delicious. Large portions. 2 people can split the chicken dishes as they come with 4 pieces. Brussels sprouts were tasty and cheesy grits were creamy. We would have gone back a second time during our trip, but couldn’t get another reservation.
The food was just ok, and for the prices charged I would have expected much better. The service was outstanding!!!
Nothing special about the fried chicken. Rest of food, salad , drinks was mediocre
Great meal. Expect to pay top dollar. But worth it. Our server was amazing.
The chicken was seasoned well and very tasty. The head chef was extremely friendly and ensured that our meal was satisfying. I will definitely be back.
Fabulous!! Everything was wonderful! Becca was great too! Shrimp and Grits were my fave!
I booked a table at Yardbird a couple of weeks before we were due to go to South beach as I read how busy it gets. However when we turned up we were told that our table wouldn’t be ready for 10-15 minutes as the previous booking turned up late. That wasn’t too much of an issue but when we asked where we could wait, the front of house said it was probably best to go to the bar next door as the bar there was too busy (which it actually wasn’t). We ignored her advice and just went to the bar there and after waiting 20 minutes, still no sign of our table being ready. In the end we just ended up sitting at the bar area and ordering as we were so hungry. The food and service was good in the end but it was just disappointing that the front of house couldn’t manage the bookings and tables properly, I mean what’s the point in booking if they are not going to honour your time.
Fun atmosphere, really good food. Accommodative reception for a quick change in plans.
We like Yardbird so much that we always dine here twice during our fortnight in SoBe.
Their emphasis on premium ingredients shows through in every sip and bite. Homemade tonic water— wow!
The biscuits and chicken are memorable. I wish they would put a little more dressing on their salads.
It’s always a fun, edgy crowd and the decibels reflect that.
We had a lovely chat with the manager and are eager to visit Yardbird Chicago if that comes to pass! I hope their staff at their new locations is as terrific as they are at the flagship. Love this place.
Chicken fried or roasted, lovely. But not the best ever. Love the mashed cauliflower and Brussel sprouts . The biscuits are truly awesome.
Wow! What a find! We had spent a phenomenal morning taking my 88 year old mother on an airboat ride at the incredible and historic Mack's Fish Camp. This was the last day of our 12 day adventure that included a 7 day cruise to the Caribbean and a couple nights in Miami. Marshall Jones, one of the owners at Mack's, highly recommended Yardbird as a place to go for our dinner that evening. What GREAT advice! From the moment we walked in, with genuine greetings by the staff and a complimentary glass of birthday champagne, to their incredible service (thanks Ishmael!) and unforgettable food, Yardbird was beyond excellent. If you ever have the chance to experience this culinary gem ... GO!!
Overall very good. Ambiance is nice. You feel to be in Italy. Food topical rustic Italian. Nothing fancy but good. Service is good can be better but they just opened;) it takes a little time. I will go back for sure. I really loved and enjoyed the experience. BRAVI!
The chicken was very good along with the biscuits and apple butter. The drinks were refreshing. The shrimp and grits were a bit too much sauce for our taste and the waffles I could do without. Just order the chicken, buiscuits. The macaroni was also good although it is more of a cheese sauce base than an ooey gooey Mac and cheese. The sweet revival was our favorite cocktail.
Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere.
Service very good, food very good but noise level made it difficult to hear our waiter and also made table conversation very tough but we’ll be back!
REALLY good food! Everything was delicious. The chicken and waffles were per amazing. However, take them seriously when they suggest that it is an entree that can be split between two people! And at $36 it probably makes sense from a cost perspective as well!
Brunch was great. Too full to get the maple bacon donuts for dessert so we’ll have to make it back some day
As usual, the food was outstanding. The service, however, was not. The server screwed up my drink order 3 times (I asked for a particular bourbon on 4 ice cubes...not too difficult), our entrees arrived before the salads, she forgot to order two side dishes we ordered, the signature hot honey was delivered to our table at the end of our meal, and she screwed ip the checks which took over 15 minutes to correct. Thankfully, the next time I come to Miami, I can be certain this server won't be at the restaurant. Nevertheless, the best damn fried chicken ever!
Overpriced and overrated. The Chicken and Waffles is over hyped. My chicken thigh was bloody in side and the waffle was soft/soggy. The waitress tried to take my food before I was finished--she tried to take the plate before I finished the watermelon--the watermelon was good. Traveled all the way from DC to South Beach to be disappointed. Maybe they put on a show for the TV cooking show!
The food was excellent (fried chicken/ shrimp and grits/ biscuits/ peach cobbler).
I found this place when planning a trip to Miami with my family to spend the day and meet an old friend for dinner. It was packed when we arrived as it was a Saturday evening in March. Despite this they were able to seat us right away even though we were 15 minutes early for our reservation, which I highly recommend making because on a day like that you couldn’t just show up and expect a table within the half hour. The waiter and attendant were conscientious and friendly and gave great explanations and recommendations on the menu. The food was literally mouth watering and amazing and I can’t wait to go back for another meal. From app (biscuits with apple butter and fresh creamy butter) to dessert (beignets stuffed with Nutella) everything was delicious and fresh. The only con I have about this restaurant is that it was pricey. Completely worth it but not something that we would indulge in that often. Our bill for 3 adults and a child was $186 (two of us had one cocktail each and the third person and child had very tasty strawberry lemonade). We did get one app and 2 desserts to share as well. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you have the money to spare or it’s a special occasion!
Truly excellent service and a delicious meal!
Absolutely fabulous place from the music to the dessert (peach cobbler)! Unique, wonderful food. Fantastic service!
High energy environment. Our server was very helpful. I would recommend the biscuit n gravy - just delicious. Food was really good. Drinks a little pricey. All in all enjoyed it very much.
I’ve been to Yardbird before and each time I’m am very pleased with my visit. My fiancé and I visited for brunch and I had the infamous chicken and waffles and he had the chicken and biscuits. The biscuits were a little more well done than what we’re used to but overall we enjoyed our meals. Due to the fact that it’s located on South Beach can play a major factor in why the noise level was high, but I didn’t bother too much. We were seated upon arrival since we had a reservation, which I highly recommend. Perfect for a date!
We had brunch on Saturday. The food was interesting and delicious but service left a bit to be desired. It was loud and she was quiet, so I’m not sure we understood all the intricacies on our first visit. Hope to make it back again.
Food was as good as advertised. To make it even better, out server, Sahismael was great. Professional and timely.
Great food. Best fried chicken I may have ever had. Surf / Turf was also delicious.
Seated immediately upon arrival. Great service.
