Yardbird Southern Table & Bar - The Venetian Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
Fantastic experience! We are traveling from Australia and his place popped up on so many “to do” lists; so we did it!
Our waiter Brandon was superb, gave us great service and food recommendations.
The roasted chicken was to die for, and the kale salad and Green Tomato BLT supplemented it perfectly.
A great time was had!
I very seldom write reviews of restaurants but I just could not pass up writing one for Yardbird Southern Table & Bar. The people there are some of the friendliest and knowledgeable, of their menu, and provide menu suggestions if needed. The menu has a great selection of food items so I am sure you will find something you like. We went to Yardbirds for dinner one day, and liked the food so much went back the next for lunch. And their lunch menu was just as good as the dinner menu. So if you like great food and some of the best staff in a restaurant you need to visit The Yardbird in the Venetian in Las Vegas. And the Venetian, is one of the finer, if not the finest hotel to stay at while your visiting Las Vegas.
Order the chicken, you will not be disappointed. They need to put the charred okra back on the menu. If you ask your waiter sometimes the kitchen will make it. If you order the chicken and waffles, bring your appetite. It is a huge portion. Reservations are strongly recommended. This place gets busy fast.
Great menu, drinks overpriced for quanity. Chicken n waffles great; however, definately overpriced. $22-$25 would have been more realistic. I guess we had to pay for labor :) once is enough for waffles. I will dine again trying new selections. I am a frequent Venetian guest. Great job on creativity of menu. I am a Hell's Kitchen fan too who always dine at the winner's restaurants.
Hostess called to cancel our reservation 30 minutes before our arrival saying there a glitch with the system. They said they had a private party and would not be able to seat us. They said we could try to walk in for bar seating instead. When we arrived, there were plenty of available tables and they were seating people well beyond our reservation time.
The restaurant has a great atmosphere but don't expect to have a romantic our dinner date here because it is really noisy inside. The food overall was pretty good though I would not recommend the fried green tomatoe appitizer. While on paper this sounds great in reality it is underwhelming. We didn't even finish it and it was basically thrown away. The chicken is great. The prices are a bit inn the high side. 26 for a half of fried chicken with no sides, salads or veggies. Sides are 10 each. Also 6 for a coke is a bit much. Overall it was a good experience but expect over 100 for two people for just two meals and 2 drinks.
This was our 2nd visit. The 1st was so good, we couldn't wait to return.
This visit we had an even better meal. Had some of our favorites from before and mixed it with new ones. All were awesome. The chicken, biscuits, shrimp and grits, the old fashioned, and more.
Only regret is we didn't leave room for dessert.
The place was very busy during Thanksgiving; make a reservation if you are visiting during a peak time. We had a late lunch. We weren't very inventive; the specialty is chicken and waffles and that is what we had... all of us ;). It was really good and I highly recommend. We were talking about it the next day.
Phenomenal food and service. The Manhattan cocktail was one of the best I've ever had. Cowboy steak was cooked to perfection and was one of the best steaks I've ever had. The crispy brussel sprouts are to die for and fried okra was exquisite. I'm from the south so I'm pretty picky about my okra. Our server was a total pro. I honestly can't think of any way to make that evening better.
