Yao Fuzi Cuisine
Chris Yao cooked a fabulous ribeye steak in his sous vie cooking machine. It was perfectly cooked. We enjoyed the Shanghai lobster, soft shell crab, crab fried rice, cabbage and vanilla prawns. Always great food and service at FuziFriday’s.
I made a reservation for 3 and I arrived first. My two other guests came in and were seated where I could not see them. After 15 minutes I checked around and found them in the back of the restaurant. The waitress was so rude and annoyed that we asked her to please move us all together to my table in the front of the restaurant. She threw the silverware back at us and brought over water glasses from their table.
From that point in the service deteriorated and our lunch which was a birthday celebration was not enjoyable as the waitress basically ignored us. They brought the food, never checked back, it was really awkward. They had told me they would bring an ice cream dessert for the birthday celebrant, she was 85 and they just did nothing. The good food isn’t enough to make me go back.
George took great care if us as always. The food is always prepared perfectly and is delicious.
Best crispy beef in Dallas! Soup dumplings and jalapeño chicken also standouts.
This is by far the best Chinese food in Dallas. The service is amazing and the ambiance superb. The one thing that was disappointing is on my reservation I put down "celebrating my wife's 55th Birthday" and not a word was said about it. Other reservations we have made on Open Table for special occasions have always been acknowledged and this was ignored. I did not say anything to my wife, but I was disappointed. We'll be back though becuase the food & service is just too good to pass on.
Always great food and service. Our favorite Chinese in Dallas
Love that this is our local restaurant. The food is delicious, the service professional, and the cocktails satisfying. Picked an appetizer and a couple dishes to share and went home happy.
Great dinner at Yao Fuzi! Everything we tried was amazing!
I e-mailed making a reservation the day before. The next day I phoned to ask to be seated in a special place and it was confirmed. When we three arrive, my spot was already occupied and we were told we had to sit elsewhere. But we got a nice table away from the activity and we were okay. Service was prompt and accurate. Food was excellent even if it is a little pricey. We always go again.
Delicious as always! Came here for my boyfriend's birthday and he was so delighted and surprised how delicious everything was. We will definitely be visiting again :)
Consistent throughly enjoy every visit Dishes not found anywhere else. Very nice restaurant
One of our favorite restaurants. Foods always excellent!
We were seated at a table where we could have a conversation and enjoy each other’s company. The food was served hot in on time and our waitress was nice. We enjoyed it.
Food and service are awesome! Highly recommend! Wait staff was very helpful to a friend of our’s with a food allergy. Probably the best Chinese food we’ve had in ages!
The food was excellent as was the service. It was not too noisy considering that it was almost full. I had beef with broccoli. It was delicious. The meat was tender, the broccoli was cooked just right and the sauce was just the right amount. I highly recommend Yao Fuzi.
Gathering of friends
The food was out of this world! The Crispy Beef was excellent and the Bread Pudding was divine!
Great food and service.. Good for the family or just for two..
Food was average. Service wasn’t what it’s beey
Food was very poor for cost. Too much sauce when asked for very little. Hard to find the chicken or vegetables but had lots of nuts.
Best Chinese food in town!
We had not been in a long while and hoped it would still be as good as we remembered. It was. Almost full after we arrived and noise level was low. The service was great and the food was excellent. We will be going back and will not wait so long.
From the price on the menu, I thought this place would be compare to PF Chang. However it is not. You can get this type of food at any Chinese restaurant. Nothing special about them. The calamari was subpar. It was small and really dried. I ordered some high end entrees. It was okay. It tasted like Pei Wei. Nothing spectacular there. Service and ambiance was good.
We normally enjoy of visits to Yao Fuzi, but this time we were not completely satisfied with the taste of our selected dishes. Don't get me wrong, they were all good, but just not up to their usual standards. It had to be a fluke. We will see on our next visit.
a frequent patron, there is a reason consistently excellent.
Soup dumplings, Sanghi lobster are outstanding !
Unique beverage program excellent wine selections and great cocktails.
Food service was odd. My dinner was brought out but then the rest of my table got their food 15-20 later. The waitress ended up telling us that the other dinners were delivered to a wrong table so they had to remake the dinners for my table. Very disappointing!
My only problem is that they try to rush too much, also sometimes you get servers who feel kind of frustrated as one may have doubts about some foods in the menu.
Servers were abrupt and felt rushed. Very loud despite being in corner. Five star shrimp was weird with loose breadcrumbs just dumped on them. Dish would be better without. Very dry.
Yao Fuzi is my favorite local Chinese restaurant. I always get the Fuzi Crispy Beef and my husband loves the Halibut with tomato sauce. The service is always good. My one complaint is environmental. They always bring water with straws without anyone asking. Water, and especially straws , should be available upon request.
We eat here often and are never disappointed. So many choices on the menu iincluding great beer and wine. Thanks to Chris and his family for making Yao Fuzi one of our favorites.
Dr Melmed retirement party
Yao Fuzi is our go-to restaurant when we are hungry and want something good. We live in Denison. So when we come and go shopping and want something we know that will consistently be yummy this is our choice. The wine selection is great as are the specialty drinks. The soft shelled crab is the best. But I have not found anything I don't like.
Quality of food seems to diminish w/each visit. Likely won't return. A shame! It used to be good!
Best Asian restaurant in the Dallas area with an extensive wine list. It's a good idea to make a reservation because it's very popular.
Our waitress deserved raves as well as the several dishes we ordered. Happy place!
This is, by far, the BEST Chinese restaurant that I have been to in the DFW area. The menu has a lot of options that you won't find in your typical take out place or even in some of the other Asian fusion spots that have been well established for years. They even have some Thai inspired dishes in the event you lean that way. There is not a bad choice on the menu as far as I'm concerned, and the service is top notch; quick, efficient and accurate...no mistakes ever ! We went at 7:00 p.m. on a Saturday night and it was a full boat...pretty energetic atmosphere and a small, but active bar area where you could grab a pre-dinner cocktail. Overall, a great place for excellent Chinese !
Poor hostess service followed by poor wait service. Food was ok, nothing exceptional. I recall a lot better restaurant than I found this time. Just returned from Los Angles, CA and service and food were much better there. Need to review our choices.
In our reservation, we had requested a table in one of the main dining rooms, but were put in a small side room with just three booths, a closet, and a side table for to-go orders. When seated, there were no lights on, the air conditioning was off, and we were given just 3 menus for 6 people to share. Yes, we asked to be seated somewhere else, but were told this was the only option. We actually had to request the a/c be turned on. A while afterwards, the owner or manager came in and turned on the lights. I could understand seating walk-ins in an overflow space, but patrons with confirmed reservations should not be seated in this room ever. Service was abrupt, no one ever came to refill waters, and the check was dropped on the table without asking if we wanted anything else - my husband and his parents had wanted desserts. Oh, well. A poor tip reflecting the poor service and poor experience was left, and it will be a long time before we go back, which is a shame because Yao Fuzi has been a long time favorite for special event family dinners.
We love the food and service at Yao Fuzi. Helen is the best and takes great care of me and my family.
Very ordinary. They were in a hurry to get us out.
