Food was delicious! Nothing like their soup dumplings. Service could’ve been a little better, but will definitely be back soon.
As usual the food and service were excellent
Best of the best. Chris runs a great restaurant
Yao Fuzi is always consistently great. The food is great and is the rare Chinese fine dining establishment. Can't recommend more highly.
Traveling in Dallas area for business, we decided to avoid the TexMex scene and were delighted to find this gem of a restaurant. Attentive, helpful staff and exquisitely prepared food. We especially loved the 5 spice spare ribs which were tender and meaty. My black pepper beef with brown sauce, garlic, and scallions was perfectly carmelized and the beef was lean and tender. I couldn't stop myself from finishing this ample portion. My wife's General Yao's chicken was a nice twist on a familiar theme with Hoison based sauce, delicious breast chicken with water chestnuts and broccoli. We went for the coconut ice cream and strawberry ice cream for dessert to counter a little heat from our entrees. This was the only mediocre part of the meal. I will be back next time I am in Plano!
Yao Fuzi is always the best. From the time you walk in the drinks and the food are a unique experience. My personal favs are the Tempura Halibut and the Soft Shell Crab. There are many others to chose from. Always worth the drive from Denison Texas.
Excellent food and service every time!
Still the best
Our favorite Asian restaurant - we were with our daughter from Nashville and it is her first choice any time she comes to Plano.
Fuzi Friday’s! That is what I call it. Soft shell crab, Shanghai lobster, vegetable fried rice, black peppered beef, snow pea leaves. We started with West Lake soup and soup dumplings. Nice red wine from St. Francis and finished with bread pudding. A great night with friends.
Had a birthday dinner. Our wait staff explained each item we ordered so we knew what we would receive. This place is consistently great. They know how to make everything right for your party.
I enjoyed a very nice preparation of chili spiced flounder. It was so tender it almost melted in your mouth.
Best Asian fusion anywhere!!!!
Another memorable evening. Loved the crab won ton appetizer tried for the first time.
Dine here fairly frequently consistently excellent only Chinese restaurant with ambiance & stellar wine list
We go here frequently as the food is excellent. Service this time was somewhat marginal. The waitress, who wrote nothing down, forgot one of our items (kale salad). Otherwise, excellent
I took my Mom (89 years old) and we enjoyed a wonderful dinner with great wine. George, our waiter, took excellent care of us. All the staff are wonderful, including Chris, the owner, who came by our table to say hello. This is the BEST Asian restaurant in the Dallas area. You won't be disappointed.
Romantic ambiance.excellent good and service. Very reasonable prices
Best Chinese food in the DFW! The owner Chris is awesome and knows his amazing wine list.
Always consistently great food and great service. Fresh, unique dishes. Friendly service and great atmosphere.
Food was great as always and the noise level is very low. We could converse easily with friends we haven’t seen in awhile.
As usual, our food was delicious. Our waiter was fine, but he did mix up the two bills between the two couples and it had to be redone. It wasn't anything to deter us from returning!
Delicious authentic Chinese food! Always have a great meal.
Two entrees were very salty. We left most on our plates.
The waitress was very rude, stretching across my way too close to my wife’s face.
I complained to her and told he to move to the other side. She did so, but a few minutes later she did the same thing.
We used to be regulars there, but it will be a long time before we go back
Don’t expect authentic Chinese food here. Taste wise, it’s ok. I was turned off by our server’s disappointment when I gave him the discount coupon. This never happened with the other restaurants I have been to.
Very busy night. Martinis are always great.
The only upscale Chinese restaurant in town! (PF Chang is a joke.) Excellent food! Service is usually excellent but our server last night was a little hard to get hold of.
Excellent food every time we go. Best Asian food in the Dallas area.
Celebrate Chinese Nee Year
Main issue : Service was not personable and rushed. This was a Valentines dinner and the reservation was for 8:45 pm. Appetizer was brought out and 5 minutes later the main dish. At the end of the entree, around 9:30, a cold approach on desert and check was presented, with the waitress visibly awaiting payment. The lobster dish, at $38, was a disappointment, my crab dish, the same. Ambience ... meh, although I did like the cleanliness and listerine in the restrooms. Lesson : Don't get greedy and take reservations at the end of the night if you won't be able to handle it with the best food and service quality.
Valentines Day dinner
Outstanding in all respects. Look forward to returning soon.
The food was not good as we expected, especially slow braised pork dish, not fresh taste. It seems it’s cooked couple days ago. Waitresses didn’t smile in the whole service. Plates were taken away quickly even we haven’t finished yet. We were very disappointed after meal because Yao Fuzi was one of my favorite restaurants before.
Seafood clay pot had little shrimp scallops and calamari as described in menu. Some other type of fish like tilapia used heavily rather than what was advertised.
Four of us for dinner on Saturday night. Spring rolls, crab & cream cheese wontons, lettuce wraps, Fuzi prawn, General Yao chicken and of course Crispy Beef! Yum. Everyone left happy.
Great food and great service. Usually go there once a week. Good location for dinner and a movie just across the parking lot.
The restaurant is very good for the quality of the food and their menu. The staff are very attentive and accommodating and that makes for a great experience
Great food. Service was limited and not accessible. Usually better Wonderful wine!!!
Our table was ready and in an excellent location. The cocktails were perfect as was the service and the food.
Yao Fuzi is consistently wonderful! The service is always spot on and all the waitstaff there is so nice and accommodating. The food will blow your mind! It gets better and better each time we dine there. Be sure and try the crispy beef, the blue crab wontons, and the Fuzi Prawns!
