Yanni's at the Landmark in Denver, Colorado is a traditional Greek-American restaurant that serves a range of dishes that feature fresh, local ingredients and from scratch cooking. There is a full bar and many wines by the glass as well at Yanni's, so you can find something refreshing to complement your dinner.
Yanni's menu is extensive and features a range of hot and cold appetizers, sandwiches, salads and main courses. Start with a combination platter, cold or warm calamari or spanakopita. Traditional Greek dinners include moussaka, the gyro platter and pasta a la Mykonos, and there are plenty of meals from the grill like souvlaki, shrimp and swordfish.
Delicious Lamb chops and Sea Bass. Service is good.
We went to Yanni's for a birthday dinner and it was great. There weren't many people there at all, expected for a Thursday evening (with a Broncos game that night, so pretty much everywhere had less people), but that just made it nicer. The outdoor seating has low lighting for the evening and the food was amazing. I personally recommend the Spanikopita. I can't wait for the chance to go again.
Yanni's is the perfect place for a casual date night or night out. It is right next door to the Landmark Theater at Greenwood Plaza. Perfect for dinner and a movie!
There was actually a piece of metal in my meal. I will NEVER eat there again.
Loved the Gyro and lamb shank. Service was great!
Always a special treat eating and visiting with family and friends at Yannis. Yanni and Amy make it personal with their warm attention to making everyone feel special with each visit. Food is delicious and always presented beautifully. I will ALAWAYS choose Yannis for special occassions or dates for lunch w girlfriends or dates for dinner w my hubby and daughter. Two thumbs up! Opa!
We went for my birthday, never had been there before, but I love Greek food and it was fabulous. My dinner companion had never had Greek food before and I have now converted him too! The owner greeted us with a hug, and spent the evening going from one table to the next talking with each guest and handing out " shots" of Ouzo! Great evening! Can't wait to go back! I had mousaka and it was fabulous!
Very good Greek food, and it's always nice to see Yanni and his shots of Ouzo.
Service was terrible. We had to ask for everything twice and even get our own utensils after our meal was delivered. Very disappointed.
It was our first time to Yanni's. We had an all-day event close by and thought we would try a place we hadn't tried before, as we love Greek food. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and Yanni himself came by with ouzo soon after our arrival, which we thought was a warm and friendly gesture. Our waitress was slow and hard to find most of the evening, although she was quite nice and friendly. The wine selection was pretty good, but marked way up. I was annoyed by the fact that when our bottle of wine was opened, it was opened by the bartender behind the bar and we weren't given the cork. I'm old school, but when you order a bottle, you should get to sniff the cork, keep the cork, etc. I asked for it and she did fetch it. The food was good. The moussaka and pastitsio were both very good with a great bechamel layer on top. The gyros were pretty good and the salad was excellent. I wish they had the avgolemeno soup, but they did not. The saganaki wasn't the best and it took forever to get it. The dolmades were pretty decent. The tzatziki sauce was delicious and plentiful. We would go again, because it's the closest Greek restaurant to our home that is decent. There are others, but Yanni's is better. However, our favorite is in Denver.
Food was plentiful and flavorful. Great Gyro's and seafood. Service was spot on and supervised by a very attentive manager/owner.
We enjoyed the evening and will be back.
Always a great option. Never have had a bad experience
I took my team from work for a team lunch and had a great experience. All food was delicious and something for everyone (excellent vegetarian selections).
The food is delicious, the patio great on a nice summer eve. The owner, as always, charming and doling out Ouzo
The mediterranean fish is outstanding as is the patsitio
We've been here a number of times and every time it is a very enjoyable meal. Okay, the Spanakopita was a little off (the filo was not flaky and a bit chewy), but beyond that, it was all good. I will always recommend the lamb, because they do the lamb chops very well. And the owner walking around greeting his guests with Ouzo is wonderful touch.
Yanni's had the best Greek food we ever had. We were greeted like family although this was our first visit to Denver. Our waitress was amazing. The food was spectacular. We can wait to come back.
Very traditional Greek restaurant! Just went to Greece and have been looking for a place to stand up to the real deal. Owner came around with ouzo shots. I do wish the Greek salad was a tradition Greek without lettuce. Was a tad pricey and wish they had a little more of a wine by the glass selection.
Our food was good. The house wine was good, and our server was efficient and very
pleasant. We were on our way to the theater so we felt that she did her best to see
that we were not delayed. Altogether a very pleasant experience.
good service, nice ambiance. varied menu, fair prices, lamb was a bit overdone but flavorful.
Excellent spot next to the cinema with yummy food - especially the appetizers - and great service. you're especially lucky when the owner shares some ouzo with you.
Great food....attentive service...nice dining environment....owner is always present, a delightful gentleman.
Yanni's is such a great spot. The food is amazing and the service is really good. Yanni always makes the dining experience even more fun.
I was looking for some "authentic" Greek food since my visit to Greece last summer where the food was wonderful. Since we went for lunch, I order the Moussaka with Greek vegetables. Very disappointed. The Moussaka was floating in grease from the fatty ground beef I presume. It left my entire plate greasy. The bechamel sauce on top was thick and consolidated and more the consistency of dough with little flavor. The skin on the eggplant was tough making it hard to cut even with a knife. The Greek vegetables were hard to distinguish, I guessed they were green beans with onions, etc. They were overcooked and mushy. I heard good reviews about this place so perhaps I ordered the wrong dish, however, my dining companion had some kind of sampler plate with chicken, rice, and salad and it looked like nothing special and the chicken was dry. Definitely won't go back; there must be better Greek food to be found in Denver!
The owner is super personable and the food is excellent.
Had a nice dinner to celebrate Valentine's Day. Price and food quality was very good. Service was very friendly. Will return for another occasion.
We celebrated my husband's birthday at Yanni's. He loves Greek food! This was our first time at the restaurant and we loves it. Large selection of different foods, the decor and music were wonderful.
Yanni's has been a part of the Denver metro community for sometime! Yanni, himself, is always present! With that in mind, I think he truly cares about his business and his customers, which only translates to incredible food. In many restaurants, you don't see or feel the presence of their owners in the restaurant. Yanni does care, and that is why you can't go wrong having a meal at Yanni's!!
The food was delicious. Was very happy with the vegetarian platter. Ouzo is always fun at Yanni's. Was given a good wine recommendation for a Greek wine, and really liked it. Comfortable place and great food.
We have been going to Yanni's for years and love the food!. Great atmosphere as well. The lamb shank is to die for. The owner, Yanni, is attentive. stopping at each table with ouzo. An authentic Greek experience!
I have read all the reviews and was stunned at the quality of the gyros. They are pre-packaged strips meat. 5 very thing slices on awful pita bread with a sprinkling of diced tomatoes and very thinly sliced onions. For 12.95. This is supposed to authentic? I grew up eating Greek food. Where the gyro meat is cut off the roast on a spit turning on a rotisserie. I sent it back. And the smart aleck Yanni said that in 25 years no one has every complained about the gyros. I find that hard to believe. Wake up Denver!!! Want a good Gyro? Go to Renzios in the food court at Park Meadows. Overrated food and Yanni's charm wore thin. Did not honor our open table reservation. Yanni needs to spend more time in the kitchen and less time pouring ouzo.
