Yanagi Sushi & Grill Ratings and Reviews
The food and services are just fine, we are just not comfortable with the food cooking and food aroma and smoking oil from the cooking at the chef cook tables. When went home our hair and clothing full of food smell and oily particles are still hanging around.
I think it is better having a divider for the two sections.
Our Favorite go to is Hamachi Kama, and this Restaurant cooked it to Perfection! The Staff and Owner were very Friendly and Attentive, they are ready to take care of their Customers. It is also a Family Friendly Restaurant, we will be back as soon as we can and we will highly recommend Yanagi to Family and Friends!❤️
One of the better Teppanyaki Grills in the East Bay. The food is very good and the service was great. It's a great place to come for a birthday celebration or just do something that is fun and different. You get your meal and entertainment all at the same time.
I was a little disappointed with the quality of the sushi, the Toro was sliced way too thick and was extremely oily and overpriced. Took my niece for her birthday and was hoping to wow her. Would be willing to come back to try the Teppanyaki where people seem to really enjoy. Ambiance was fun, food presentation was nice but expected a lot more for what we paid.
Always reliable, and this time I needed a corner with a little quiet - that is often not possible because it's ALWAYS busy. But we were on the tail end of lunch hour and they put is in a noce corner and didn't seat anyone close. Perfect.
Service is always good and the food is impeccable.
We've been here a few times, and this time seemed lackluster. The chef preparing our food at the Teppanyaki grill was very quick and it wasn't as much of a show(something we came for). It was quite a disappointment this time, my date didn't even get her steamed rice until she was done with her entree. Not very happy this time, love the restaurant just this time wasn't the best. Also, a seating mix-up meant we didn't start eating until 30 mins after the time we should've been
