Yakitori Sake House Ratings and Reviews
Met a friend in Boca for dinner. We tried this because they had robato so it's an easy option for me because I'm vegan. Although the restaurant was very slow, our server seemed beyond rushed and that we were almost an annoyance when we didn't even ask a question. The food overall was mediocre. They were out of the sake my friend wanted but the one they had was still good.
We ordered edamame, it was fine- standard edamame. I ordered the robato mushroom, asparagus and shishito pepper. The mushroom was virtually inedible- just not a good flavor at all. The robato shishito pepper and asparagus were good. My friend, a non-vegan, also got the peppers. She said they were much better WITHOUT the bonita flakes than with (she tried mine also). I asked for them without any sauce on but mine was still was very salty.
My friends roll was fine- again mediocre. She only ate half of the roll. We did finish our drinks though ; ). Overall the experience was average.
Very good food. I was a bit reluctant when i saw the diversity of the menu but we i has pleasantly suprised. Being 4 people we ordered diver things (whole fish, duck and sushi) and all were amazing. Service could have been better as we had to pour our own sake for most of the night bit not a big deal. A must in boca.
I have eaten at Yakitori many times. I live in the neighborhood and really enjoy the menu. We had a reservation for dinner at 7 pm and had requested an indoor table not near the door, so getting in and getting a table seemed like it should have been a no brainer. Not so much. When my friend and I arrived on time for dinner, we immediately noticed that there was only one table left - the one that was closest to the door and in the busiest area of the restaurant. We did not want that table and saw that another table was opening further inside, so we asked for that one. We were told that it was not available as a larger party was being accommodated there and that we were welcome to sit at the sushi bar for dinner. We ended up doing this and had a great meal, but this is something that this restaurant is known for doing. Why take reservations if you are not going to welcome your guests and accommodate their advance requests? Come on Yakitori, learn to treat your customers as guests. Have the proper table set. Or don't bother with reservations.
Outstanding Japanese. Some of the biggest rolls we have ever had. Outstanding variety of warm and cold rolls, appetizers. Hard to choose and everything was fantastic. Good service. Reasonable price. Nice outdoor dining area. We have eaten at several Asian restaurants in Boca and this is our favorite!
It was very nice. We order the tuna Fuji and it was excellent. The sushi rolls were also excellent and very fresh. I ordered the veggie pad Thai but there was no veggies and it was very dry. The service was ok but the hostess was amazing. She helped resolve some issues.
I will go back again.
Having enjoyed Sushi from some of the highest rated restaurants in the country, I can say this restaurant is right up there with the best I have eaten. The menu is extensive and everything I have ordered has been wonderful. Friendly service, nice atmosphere, and fantastic food. Hard to believe you can get near this place. It's that good.
As usual... All was as it should be! 4 of us spent 5.5 hours drinking, eating and talking. From sushi to Mongolian beef.... Saki to sweet 16 jalapeño & tequila!! If you are getting your sushi fix elsewhere, you're going to the wrong place. For a melt in your mouth tuna preparation wrapped with avocado, no rice roll, topped with chunks of other fish, you must try the "Sexy Lady" !
Thanks Jason and Tina... The preparations your team creates are delicious!!
