FUTAGO is Japanese style BBQ restaurant established in Tokyo in 2010. We developed a unique FUTAGO style ; concept, which is selecting the best quality meats and serving it in smaller portions so that more varieties are enjoyed, compared to all the other BBQ restaurants. We operate over 80 locations worldwide, including Hong Kong and New York to spread the Yakiniku culture around the world. There is a 15-minute grace period for your reservation. In order to satisfy as many customers as possible, we would like to keep our dining hours to a 90 min maximum. We also have a strict policy for NO PETS in our facility.

Food is really good. An elevated experience compare to most bbq. It’s quiet and the tables are far apart so it is a great setting to have a nice evening and being able to converse with your guests.
The host made a fuss about not accepting the state app to verify vaccination and demanded instead to see a minimum of 2 jabs and to disinfect our hands before entering BUT THEN SERVED US A GLASS WHO STILL HAD THE LIPSTICK OF THE PREVIOUS CUSTOMER ON IT. Maybe they should pay more attention to their cleanliness than ours.
The waiter was friendly however the service was bad because they just had more work than they could chew. Maybe they were understaffed but it made it for poor attention and bad service. He made a mistake on our order and then the kitchen forget to make the soup.
All in all not a bad experience since the food was good but the service is not up to the standard one would expect for such restaurant
Yakiniku futago never disappointed us. We had another great dinner over the Wagyu and the prime meat. New Wagyu sushi with fresh black truffle was a fabulous additional. The service was very friendly and kind as ever. We enjoyed the selection of sakes by glass from very reasonable range to premium range
We celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday there. The 10 second wagyu was absolutely de👏li👏cious👏
Went here on New Year's Eve and sat at an outdoor table, it was an amazing experience. I chose it because they have grills at the outdoor tables as well. The outdoor structure was nicely decorated and well covered but still open on one side for ventilation. The service was amazing, our server gave my friend and I real lemon sours after we off handedly mentioned we missed them from our time in Japan. I'll definitely be going back and would highly recommend!
Food was absolutely delicious - for two people, we ordered the Treasure Box A5 Wagyu combo, Black Wagyu Kalbi, and Hot Stone Bibimbap. Besides the top sirloin (too chewy for my liking) from the combo, the rest of the meats melted in your mouth.
I requested special seating since I came for a special occasion, and was quite delighted that the restaurant placed us in a more private section.
Overall, I was very happy with the whole experience. I would just knock down one star because I received a message from the restaurant the morning of letting me know that they had a limited menu for the night. That was a little let down since other similar restaurants would have already been booked for the night if I did have to change locations due to the menu change. I tried asking for the specific available menu items when they messaged me, but received a rather vague response saying that it was ‘limited, but will still have most of the menu as availability lasts’.
Every portion of our meal was delicious and the staff were very professional and friendly. Very nice experience. Worth the price.

I’ve been there before Covid at beginning 2020, then before summer 2021 and then December 2021.
Service drop down a notch as well as the quality of the meat.
If before it was expensive but worth it, now it’s definitely too expensive for the quality.

Service alternated between being inattentive, unhelpful (poor recommendations for food - others clearly had much better meals vs the server’s recommendations), and rude (called 3x during first 10 minutes of grace period after start of reservation, then had to wait for table anyway, and were told we had to be out within an hour for the table to be turned). We had a very positive experience here previously with someone who knew what to order — so really disappointed that one has to be “in the know” to enjoy their time here.

Food tasted average. $200 treasure box only had few pieces of meet. Way overpriced! And server was in such rush. Didn’t enjoy it. Will not come back.

We were here for the thanksgiving special which has 8 nice course. The service was a mess, if not a disaster: They offered us a 75 minute window to finish the meal, but the first 15 minutes after us sat down was blank, no greeting or menu or even water; Only two tongs for us four to grill. When the dessert was served, we found out one soup was still missing. The server offered the option to take out the soup or enjoy it at the bar since the next party for our table was already waiting. We don’t like either of the options and didn’t have the soup but still paid the full price.

Birthday dinner! Amazing meal, high quality of Wagyu and just overall delicious. Service was a bit slower than usual… my 6th time being here… probably due to shortage of staff. However definitely worth visiting!
This is one of my favorite new restaurant. the food is extremely high quality and so tasty. I will be back monthly to get the golden tongs.

Our thick cut beef tongue order came out and the server said ‘someone will come to grill this for you’ so we waited but we waited for a good 15 minutes until the person came. I said to him that it took so long for someone to come and he just gave me a look with no proper explanation. Maybe he was busy, that’s fine. But he was also so busy accommodating another table across from us that our food was burnt a few times, he just scraped the burnt parts with the tong and we also flipped our meat twice on our own because we were scared it will catch on fire.
The plates were really dirty - not once but four times. We asked for a plate change and the servers never apologized for the dirty plates. On my last bowl i asked for to have a bite of the cold noodles, the exchanged bowl was also still dirty but by then i just wanted to get out of the restaurant that i didn’t bother asking for another clean bowl (if they even have one).
I had good memories of the restaurant few years ago when i visited nyc that’s why i came back this time when i’m back at the city again but it’s super disappointing. Not worth a single penny.

service was really slow and the food was extremely overpriced. $48 for 3 pieces of sushi and $78 for a bowl of rice with two slices of wagyu + a scoop of uni. The place seemed short staffed and the wait took forever even though there’s not much preparation for raw meat on a plate. Spent over $500 and they didn’t even put the dry ice in the treasure box. The dragon kalbi was so fatty we had to spit out half of it. The garlic rice was drowning in a puddle of oil. So disappointed :(
