Yabba Island Grill Ratings and Reviews
Service was TERRIBLE! I️ felt like our server just wanted us in & out as quick as possible even though it wasn’t full. For what we paid...I️ can stay & chat a minute with friends I️ see once a year. The food was ok but not great. Far too expensive...it’s slipping for sure over the years!
Great restaurant food delicious. Only criticism is that some of the wait staff were busting out their uniforms which is not a good impression and makes them and the place look scruffy and unkept. This could be easily solved by suppling a bigger size for them.
Returned again for 2017 Halloween Night dinner after enjoying the festivities on 5th Avenue. Our group of 9 enjoyed our food and our Server was Excellent! Cocktails were not watered down and it was a fun way to end the night. Would recommend and will return.
We went for the early bird dinner and all went well to begin with we ordered and the waiter had a trainee shadow him--- however when our meals came they forgot the vegetable we reminded them and ordered another glass of wine... the potato took almost ten minutes to come and we had to remind them two more times the wine never came and the water was never replenished very shoddy service for two waiter s !!!! Terrible compared with other restaurants in this group
Food OK, but poor value. Crab legs old and rubbery. Snapper good but priced higher than snapper should be. Side vegetable garnish oily. Service poor and inattentive. Server never came to inquire about our meal until we were done. Water glasses never refilled (though another server at the table next to ours was very attentive and visited their table 6 times between the time we ordered and finished without our server appearing once, so it may be our server rather than most at Yabba).
We have not been for awhile; have friends in town and thought we would try as hey are staying on 5th. It was not very busy; service was terrible and food was OK; nothing WOW. We waited a long time for our food and had to ask for server several times. I would not go back again. Had attentive service at the bar.
Actually I have always liked Yabbas but this visit was extremely disappointing. It was a great value because I got 50% off with my club card. Other than saving money and being with the group of wonderful ladies, but the only good thing I can say. The waitress was slow. My sister and I ordered the pecan chicken and it was inedible. We sent it back and I got the cedar plank salmon. I have ordered this before and it came in an actual cedar plank and was quite delicious. This time it came on a plate swimming in some sort of a teriyaki sauce. The salmon itself was OK But the ancient grains were mediocre and the squash was tasteless. We went there for my nieces birthday after a very stressful month of hurricane living. Could've been a lot better
