I have eaten many times but this last experience was underwhelming. The buffet is overpriced for the quality of food. Nothing exciting with the menu. The noise level was high so difficult to talk. Just not a great eating expereince
This is the best brunch in St. Louis County, in my opinion. There's a big variety, including: omelette bar, eggs benedict (although they need to TOAST THOSE ENGLISH MUFFINS!), very good bacon and sausage, smoked salmon, smoked trout, shrimp, eggs, potatoes, salads, baba ganoush and hummus (nice and garlicky), pizza, other hot lunch food, decent variety of desserts. They also offer both still and sparkling water, and the coffee is good, all included in the $24 price. Nice ambiance also.
This is one of our favorite local restaurants, always good food and drink, as well as good service. And it’s close to our home too. We go there for special occasions and everyday dining.
A usual 40 min wait during prime time dining. Can't figure out after so many years why they can't get it right with reservations. But suspect privileged clients still rule the door.
The food was excellent with great and quick service. They honored my request for a quiet booth which contributed to the ambience - will definitely return with our out-of-town friends as they requested Ya Ya’s for their visit for the weekend!
Outstanding food and service! It was a great night.
We enjoyed our celebration meal at Yaya's. We both had a duet the scallops were fantastic and our waiter was super Cody was his name. We will definitely be back
Highly recommend cauliflower appetizer & the Crab cakes both GF. My shrimp risotto seemed like it sat in window & was just ok. I have been here many times & enjoy their GF menu options.
Superb attentive service; interesting, varied wine list; food that surpassed expectations
Great bday dinner! Thx!
Waiter was very attentive & he accommodated my daughter’s special diet for lent by speaking with the chef. Food was very good & came out in a timely fashion.
Questioned charge on bill as waitress had failed to explain charges and manager was arrogant and rude.
WONDERFUL RESTAURANT TO CELEBRATE BIRTHDAY. FOOD WAS EXCELLENT (AS USUAL).
Everyone who works there is very friendly and the food is really good,
Tina, our server, was so friendly and the food was amazing! We had one in our party with a gluten allergy and were assured she would be taken care of. The ambiance was great, fun decor, unique food and huge portions. We will definitely come back. Management was so helpful when I messed up my credit card/ coupon check-out, too.
I had a group of 7 people show for my lunch. The food was good, the service was a little slow but we were there during a very busy hour of lunch. THe attendees enjoyed the meal.
Outstanding service. We had a brunch reservation for 2pm. They called us ahead of time to let us know brunch service ends at 2, but I didn’t have my phone on and arrived unaware. They kept the brunch open for us as long as they could, going above and beyond to accommodate our group. And it.was.delicious!
Buffet choices for lunch should be expanded or cost lowered.
We were seated on time next to a very large table. The accoomodations felt tight, but we were comfortable enough. The food was lovely. Our waittress was very personable. There was no mention of our special occassion (50th birthday), no special cake with a candle, but we survived.
Normally YaYa's is one of my top 5 all-time favorite St. Louis restaurants. Sadly, Saturday was an off-night. I hope it was just an anomaly.
We really enjoy Ya Ya's. Food is of high quality with some different options available. The service is always very good and overall, this place is a reflection of the management. The managers are very active and engaged. We had scallops and salmon, nice salad and calamari, plus a chocolate soufflé. Wines are served very cold and the do a heavy pour. Highly recommended.
Healthy food is the plus at YaYa's. Going for dinner is better than lunch.
At lunch the service was ok, waiter was good, but the food was delivered in a coffee diner way, the check was dropped off when I had just eaten 2 bites of my salad. At dinner there is a presence of being in a special restaurant, and being treated as a special guest, but not at lunch. My chicken in my cobb salad was so so not as wonderful as the evening cook presents and cooks!
Five of us met there for a birthday celebration and everything was perfect. Two out of the five had never been before and can’t wait to go back and eat on the patio in warmer weather. Our servers were perfect and very friendly! Two of us had lobster and the other three had turkey sandwiches and we loved the food!
As usual, YaYa's was fabulous. We ended up eating at a high top in the bar and had Elizabeth as our server. She was fun, attentive and friendly. I had the skirt steak, which had been recently been reworked by adding a red pepper sauce. It was amazing! My husband had the fish special which was buttery and very flavorful. The wine was good. The dessert was good. All in all, a great night.
Even though we had a reservation, we had to wait 25 mins for a table other than the one we asked for. The waiter was less than knowledgeable. It took a while to get our salads and then within 5 mins out came the main course, which was the special. It looked more like an appetizer. When we voiced our complaints to the manager, he just stood there silent, offering nothing. It was amazing. Finally, he offered to take our specials off the bill. As frequent dinners at YAYas , this experience was rare, but unsettling. Not sure when I’ll have the courage to go back.
It took 150 minutes to complete dinner. I had to send my steak back twice after ordering medium well and receiving medium rare twice.
Great food, service, and ambiance. Will definitely come back.
he waiter was excellent and the food very nice but there are two things of which you should be aware. One: When I made the reservation, you asked if it was a special occasion to which I responded it was. Our friend's wife and my wife were both celebrating birthdays and my wife and I were celebrating our 56th wedding anniversary. However, no mention of it was made at the dinner and we were too polite to ask. Why did you ask if you did not intend to act on it? Second: The ladies' restroom was a disaster as I was informed by my wife. There were trash baskets overflowing, paper all over the floor, stalls with no toilet paper, paper towels nearly gone, etc. When my friend's wife went in, she, too, was shocked and pointed it out to the two young receptionists out front. One went in with her and exclaimed,"What is wrong with this?" Really? Very poor standards and not good customer service. We have always been told that the condition of the restrooms is indicative of the cleanliness of the restaurant as a whole. Scary.
Went on a Saturday evening and it was definitely crowded even at an early 6:15 reservation. Less noisy in the back section. Had a great waitress...Lauren. Food was very good although the vegetables were cold. Wine pour is very good. It is always a nice place for a good meal.
Great food, atmosphere and well trained service staff provides a pleasant evening out. But seems too high in price for the value rendered.
Very busy, vibrant. Service was outstanding. Need more vegetarian entrees. Only reason we are not a frequent patron.
Great from start to Finnish . Loved the service , atmosphere and food . Had the free range chicken sandwich... what a creation
We have always had a great meal at ya ya's. The staff treated us very well. Thanks
The service was attentive, the food was passable, but my take away from this reservation was that restaurants must block the least desirable tables for those who make reservations via OpenTable. This was the third consecutive time we've had and undesirable table using the service with this table being in a room that felt like a large closet which in no way reflected the ambiance of the restaurant. Be aware that you will probably need to request better seating at the restaurant when booking through OpenTable unless you want to be near the kitchen, service well or in a broom closet.
We went there for Valentine's Day and had a great time. Babysitter nights are at a premium so you can't waste a night at a bad restaurant. This place was great! The variety was excellent and our waiter was experienced and knew the menu well. I had a great steak scallops and Manhattan and would definitely go back again.
We were seated immediately upon arriving, waitress was very
Prompt in greeting us, she was very attentive and made sure everything we needed was delivered quickly. Each course came out quickly and was very good, definitely going back.
Our server and the restaurant manager checked on us several times but without being overbearing. Food was amazing and staff was very friendly and welcoming.
Excellent food be it steak, chicken, seafood, pasta, pizza, et al. at a reasonable price!
We really enjoy Yaya's! We love the ambience, everyone is so friendly and the food is excellent! We will definitely be back!
