Julia was an excellent waitress. She understood the menu and drinks well. Offered her suggestions and made the evening great.
The food was excellent. We will go again.
Xolos before used to be my go to spot for margaritas with friends. But now it’s our go to spot for everything ! It’s perfectly right in the center of all of our colleges ! I go to Villanova and my best friends attend Harcum , Bryn Mawr & rosemont so we all just get together there. The happy hour is UNBELIEVABLY good ! You can get tacos and guacamole ! The staff greets you as soon as you walk in welcoming you into a friendly environment! The food is authentic as can get! All of the recipes fill my taste buds and we tend to Order more then we can eat but that’s why they offer take out boxes so we can have lunch the next day ! Overall if your looking to enjoy a meal with family friends or even host a work meeting xolos will accommodate you to your liking ! I recommend xolos to my parents friends and even grandparents ! 10 out of 10 !
I will try to be fair.. My wife and I go out to dinner weekly. We go to Xolo 2-3 times a year. We have gone there for 4-5 years. The service and food have always been good. I am giving the restaurant a mulligan for our dinner on May 18th. We had a reservation for 6:15 pm through open table. We arrived on time and went to a hostess to check in. We were told yes you have a reservation but you if you don't sit outside we can't honor it. We sat outside at a table that was not level although one of the employees put a napkin underneath one of the legs to help. The service was not up to our previous visits. Our meal was ordered with drinks, appetizers and entrees. We didn't receive the drinks for a while and one of the other staff members had to check on them and we then received them. Our appetizers were then brought out but we didn't have enough time to finish them before the entrees were delivered. The food was okay but the chicken was a little dry and the lime garnish was dried out. We didn't have a chance to complain because the waitress was no where to be found. She seemed to be extremely inexperienced. All in all, we didn't have a pleasant experience. We would still recommend the restaurant since we assume this was a one-time fluke.
Excellent and very authentic! We celebrated our daughter’s college graduation here and the staff was very attentive, the drinks were great and the food delicious!
Favorite restaurant on the Main Line! Food is consistently outstanding, margaritas are the best by far in the area, and the staff treats you like family! We have never had a bad experience and have been with friends, significant others, and children on separate occasions. The owner is considerate and makes patrons a priority, and the place is always welcoming. The dining room atmosphere feels intimate, but the bar is a blast! Highly recommend for top notch food, drinks, and service!
LOVE XOLO Tacos!! My favorite got to spot and the drinks are AHHMAZING!!
Authentic menu and delicious guacamole!! Very friendly staff.
We showed up early with 9 people in our party and 8 in our friends party and we had no issues. This included 5 toddlers. The food was great, we didn't wait for our food or drinks. Well done. We will return
Fantastic all around - no holds bar - best overall restaurant experience. Period.
We arrived and was seated immediately. Our waiter Garret was very patient and knowledgeable. Few mistakes with orders but overall he was great. Drinks were a little weak and food not so great. The outdoor seating was great
We love this restaurant for the food and cocktails. We come every couple of months to eat here. The service is inconsistent, sometimes the staff seems very organized and other times not so much. However, the atmosphere is great and the food is always delicious. I think there is good value for the price as well.
When it first opened, I liked Xolo Tacos. Now, however, things have gone downhill a bit. Service was not good. It took us 10 minutes to get seated despite a reservation then another 10 minutes just to get a glass of water. Another 10 minutes passed before our server came to take our orders. And so on all evening.
The food was not as good as before. Rice was crunchy, flavor combo's were off.
And that place is LOUD. Made it hard to talk.
Too much noise for a group of 6 seniors. We love the food and service and decor, but the ambience is awful due to deafening noise. Can't imagine going to Xolo again unless something is done with the decibel level.
We enjoy the old art of conversation.

The food was really good. The table and condiments were really sticky as if they are not cleaned properly. The service was adequate, not great, nothing to complain about.
Great find, friendly service, food was fresh and well prepared. We will definitely return.
I am not a fan of Mexican food, but my husband loves it. So, occasionally we do Mexican. This is the only place that has two things on the menu that I actually like (soups).
The service was very good even thought the restaurant was packed, and for awhile it was under staffed.
It was so loud we could barely hear ourselves talk.
A favorite hangout of our daughter's to which I had not been before. We were warmly welcomed, had excellent service and a nice meal.
Delicious, nutritious, Great Service...a great experience.
We began with sangria and a margarita, perfect! Moved to nachos, delicious. For dinner I had the Shrimp dinner, beautiful jumbo shrimp with perfect vegetables and rice, yum. My husband had the chicken enchiladas with moles sauce and left nothing on the plate! We will be back soon.
Xolo always deliver. Great food at great value.
The service is warm and friendly, they make you feel like family.
Met for dinner right at Happy Hour and were able to get seating outside and the Happy Hour specials on tacos and drinks. I had the chorizo tacos and my dinner companion had the chicken. Both were amazing. Highly recommend this little gem on the main line.
We had a lovely time at Xolo Tacos! I had the fajita, hubby the tacos. The chips were the hardest chips I have EVER had in my life. We managed. The meal itself was delicious, the tacos a mix of sweet and tangy, the fajita with refried beans (the best I've ever had) and rice simply packed with flavor. Our drinks were also very flavorful- margarita and a martini. You only need one, LOL! I'd go back again!
Waiter was pretty inattentive and completely missed our guacamole order. Never looked our way and did not check on us regularly to ensure we were ok.
Xolo Tacos is a hidden gem! Located less than a block from Lancaster Pike in the heart of Bryn Mawr, I happily discovered its authentic Mexican cuisine, a well stocked bar, and first-class service by the beautiful Julie. Our four-some enjoyed the shrimp tacos and a variety of enchiladas on a quiet Sunday afternoon. While we also liked their guacamole, it did have a "bite" to it that some might not enjoy as much. Overall, I highly recommend this very well decorated Mexican restaurant!
We went at the recommendation of a friend who couldn't say enough about how great the food is at XOLO. Unfortunately, my husband and I did not share this opinion. We both ordered fajitas. My husband ordered the skirt steak and I ordered the shrimp. His steak was very tough, hard to chew and dry. My shrimp was blackened and very dry. I have never had dried out shrimp in my life. Part of my rice was very hard. The prices are very high so I expected the food to be spectacular. I ordered the churros chocolate dessert which took entirely too long to receive. I almost canceled the order. That was OK. I did not care for the Mexican hot chocolate at all and it was lukewarm. Our bill was over $70 and I have had better Mexican food from Chi Chi's or making my own. It was disappointing and we have no desire to return.
Food and service were good. Caesar salad not the best I’ve had. Noise level was high but there were some large groups. Happy there were bathrooms on the second floor.
This is such a pretty restaurant, with lovely Mexican decor, fireplace, tiles and really convenient location. I can't imagine why it is not full from dawn to dark. We had the shrimp tacos and delicious limeade. Tell your friends to meet you there!
Fantastic as usual. Guacamole, Tortilla soup, Shrimp tacos and Chocolate Flan. Authentic!!
Food is just ok. Service is slow. Tried it twice and both times every felt the same, it’s mediocre.
Very good food and cozy vibe. We always enjoy Xolo.
We really enjoyed dinner on Saturday! I
Great Vegetarian Food! Great Service!!
Sat upstairs so was quieter than downstairs. Service was very good and no one rushed us. They were very attentive.
The four of us were seated at a table more suitable for two people in a noisy corner. The food was average. We had indicated we were celebrating a birthday, but no mention of it was made. The tres leches cake was very good. Unfortunately it was buried in whip cream and chocolate. We had been there a few times before and had a very nice experience. This time not so much.
It was my birthday and I had a group of 10 people. The staff was super friendly and accommodated the kids as well as older family members. The waitress was very sweet and even brought out a birthday slice of cake With a candle. We had queso and guacamole, and I had the shrimp taco which were perfectly spicy. The manager wished me a happy birthday as we left. I appreciated the friendly service and great food. Thank you.
Love Tuesday nights with excellent live guitarist who plays the perfect music for dining! Food is always delicious and the atmosphere is cozy, festive and charming.
Good Mexican food in a a Mexican themed decor. The second floor dining room was quieter than the first floor. Great margaritas in a very nice bar area. Loved the tile .
Xolo is always great!
food; always fresh and authentic, recommend the tacos, any soup, fajitas and carne tampiqueña
drinks; great selection and good pours, recommend Jalapiña margarita, watermelon mojito
service; very nice and accommodating, at times a bit rushed
ambiance; very pretty restaurant with a cool vibe (very busy on weekends)
Food was authentic and good
Food was authentic and yummy. Good price. Service was friendly but a bit disorganized especially in getting us seated. Waited close to a half hour after our reservation. A dance class was starting up right next to us that was loud but fun to watch -- I could see others getting annoyed though if they minded the interruption. My friend and I thought it was fun but it was loud and others might find disruptive.
