The food is great! I've been here 3 times and I haven't been disappointed yet. Truly recommend.
Very good waiter, good food
From arrival they greeted us with a smile. We didn't have to wait till everyone was present to be seated which was very nice with a baby. The service was amazing and very attentive. Never had to wait for water refills, or chips. The food quality was amazing. I had the special Salmon and Spinach and it was fabulous. Highly recommend for any occasion.
Loud restaurant. The food is good and seems to be a place to go when shopping at the mall. Would not recommend for a quiet or romantic place to eat.
That attentiveness of service was lacking.
On Thursdays they have unlimited Tacos until 3:00, so we got there and gorged ourselves on those delicious items, then stayed for happy hour which started at 3:00. We had alot of fun there.
$23 for sub-par (dry and bland) asada, lack-luster beans and rice, that I could have gotten better at 2/3 the price?
Was hoping for elevated mexican, but nothing was particularly interesting or innovative nor homemade and comforting.
The tamarind tasted like a plain margarita with too much slushed ice to make it easy to drink. The tamarind rim was the only thing that saved it. To top it off, while we ordered our food and drinks at the same time, we didn't get our drinks til AFTER we got our food, despite a number of inquiries.
Save your money and pass this place up. Hopefully, something better will take its place.
Great food selection, drinks and deserts. Kids friendly and suits all tastes.
I've been here twice and I love it. The food is delicious, so are the drinks and the staff is super friendly. They have outdoor seating with 3 fireplace areas and music playing, what more can I ask for. Definitely one of my new go-to spots on Saturday nights
We went to this location on Thursday and enjoyed unlimited tacos; next time, we will go at a time closer to happy hour to enjoy those tacos and then reasonably priced drinks. I rated service down, although I think in fairness a server failed to show and the staff was overwhelmed.
The food, drinks and service was wonderful.
The only thing we disliked was the jalapeño poppers.
The cheese filling tasted like cheese from can.
Restaurant accepted our reservation, but was closed when I arrived !!!
A bit pricey but well worth it. Fantastic food, great drinks and fabulous service.
We will be back soon.
There were 6 of us an none of us had been before. We really enjoyed our dinner. Food was very good. Service was terrific - and we all said we would absolutely return.
Xoc has the best tacos and margaritas . I decided to give their brunch a shot. It was very delicious and great selection . Unfortunately , a very rude and abnovious customer almost ruined my brunch . I will try it again and hopefully have a a better experience .
It isn't inexpensive, but you get a lot of food for the money. And the food is REALLY tasty! The Chicken Mole was some of the best I've ever had. The service staff was very helpful and friendly and sensitive to some of my dietary constraints. Because it is pricey, it won't be something we go to for every day mexican fusion... but definately a special occassion place! Oh, and the Margaritas were AMAZING! Fresh, sprightly, zesty... generous!
Kevin was our server and is always 10 stars even they only allow 5 !!
Great food, great service, fantastic patio with heaters and firepit heaters, food was hot, drinks were great.
I had never been to this restaurant before but passed by it numerous times and wanted to try it. It was not what I expected, it was pretty dead on a Saturday night. I made a reservation thinking that it was going to be very busy and there was literally all empty seats. The chairs were super uncomfortable too and the bus boy didn't speak english so switching chairs was a headache. The food was ok but nothing to write home about. I am sorry to say this but I definitely won't be back.
Not a good experience this time. Server didn't know what "ceviche" was, didn't get that it was an appetizer and brought it with the main meal. Service was really inattentive, pretty careless attitude. With so many other choices in that shopping center, won't do this again.
Good food but terrible service. There were a lot of empty tables. Now I know why.
Simply said, disappointed! Food, service, overall ambiance all below par. Will not return or recommend.
Loved Tequila Grill and especially the outdoor patio! The misters made it very comfortable as it was a very hot evening. The food was great and they had a nice kids menu so it worked for everyone.
Food was pretty good and the area is great. But my waiter wasn't the greatest. He messed up the food and he messed up the bill, not once, not twice but 3 full times. Never gave my family and I any discounts with all his mess ups. Just keep apologizing but after 10 sorrys a few bucks off a meal would hurt.
Food is really good especially if you know which items to order and that tamarind margarita is super delish 😋 only thing is the service. Just make sure your not in a hurry when you go took her about 12 minutes to come get our drink order after we got our water.
The manager had to cover for 2 absent waiters! He hustled to take care of us and everyone else! Bravo:)
Food and ambiance were very good but the service was very slow. our waiter was excellent and was almost running between tables etc. But they need to hire additional staff to assist. our waiter could not have been better but it seemed he and one other waitress were working the entire large restaurant, both indoor and outdoor.
It really was too bad.
Good margaritas. Guacamole well made. Recommend
We will be back! Great service! We met family and we all enjoyed our food and drinks. Easy to book reservation too.
This was my first visit to XOC. It's a somewhat large restaurant with additional seating outside. Since it was lunch and a beautiful day, we sat outside at a shaded table. XOC is located in an outdoor shopping center known as The Village, next to the Topanga Plaza Shopping. It was a very quiet day there, which accounted for the restaurant being about 90% empty. However, the food and service were very good. The menu listed numerous choices of tacos, salads, fajitas and more. My three tacos were great and were accompanied by refried beans and Mexican rice perfectly cooked. I look forward to going back.
Restaurant and food is great, but server Pablo 368 needs to be retrained, as he forgets orders, misplaces orders, serves everything very late, etc. He needs re-training and needs to be disciplined.
It was pricy for the type of food.
Last minute get together for 8 of us. We got a table easily and food and drinks were excellent.
Are usually have a fairly good experience here at XOC. Their service is always great and the food very tasty. In this particular occasion a friend of mine and I sat inside because it was too hot outside, over 105°. However, as the sun started to inch its way to the west it began to shine through the massive windows they have at the front of the restaurant. There are ordered no shutters or screens To protect the eyes, the backs, and other vulnerabilities for the customers. Everyone seated in the middle of the restaurant had to clear out and off to the edges because for a period of about two hours no one could tolerate the heat, direct burning sunlight, and ultra luminescence. Even after everyone had vacated, the hostess continue to try to seat people in that center area. When I approached the hostess and requested that they try not seating anybody there, she indicated that the concern was that the server had extra tables that they needed to fill even though they had tables not in the direct sunlight. In this particular case, they should have customers in mind first before attempting to satisfy a servers table assignment.
Celebrating Birthday, very enjoyable, good food, ambiance, outside dining, service
Mother's Day dinner on short notice! Thankfully I was able to make a reservation the day of. Had a great time. Food was delicious! Service was great and very accommodating! Will be back
Issues getting food out of kitchen. One in our party ordered grilled veggies dry. No oil. Her order comes out slathered in oil about 15 minutes before anyone else’s.
I ordered fajitas mixto. Shrimp and steak. It arrives as chicken and shrimp. Sent it back. Comes back. It’s got 3 shrimp and about 8 tiny slices of steak. Complete ripoff.
Another in our party order gluten free fish tacos in corn tortilla. Comes in lettuce cups.
None of this was servers fault. Kitchen and expediter not doing their jobs at all.
Manager runs around appearing useless and you can tell staff was not happy.
Food was ok. Some of it was very bland. Service was HORRIBLE. Very slow and careless. We got a drink spilled on us by a female server. She saw and didn’t say ANYTHING! Didn’t even wipe it off or offer a napkin. Just walked away. Also, my dad was trying to decide which margarita to get and the server said “how about the house” so my dad said ok. The server walked over to the counter right next to our table, picked up a house margarita that was just sitting there (clearly one someone else didn’t want) and handed it to my dad!!! Then we told him we were ready to order. He said ok, then said “hold on” and walked away for 15 min. We had to ask another server to go get him and he claimed he didn’t realize he did that. And that’s just to name a couple of the many awful things that happened. Never coming back here again. Disgusted with the service and how poorly we were treated.
My husband and I took his mom to XOC to celebrate Mother's Day; bottomless mimosas, buffet and great service from Pablo. I checked in with the front desk and was greeted by Mike who is the GM who was clearly have a bad morning. He tells me "You didn't make a reservation for a dog, so I can't sit you outside or in" Then he follows up by saying "there's no way you could have made a reservation on Opentable, it's blocked." But how did XOC have my reservation to begin with? I made this reservation on March 21 with a special requests to sit outside as I will have my dog with me. Mike told my husband he would sit us inside with our dog only because I suggested going to Joey's next door. Mike then said as loud as anyone could hear, "that's a therapy dog right?" My dog is NOT a therapy dog. I informed Pablo Mike is the reason why we not be coming back. Pablo apologized and told us he was going to make it right. Pablo comes back and says he will be moving us to his section outside. Mike comes back to our table and proceeds to tell us that the table we're going to is in a very crowed section (super passive aggressive tone). Later Pablo comes back to our table and asks if I am going to write a review on Yelp (Mike wanted Pablo to confirm with me). He begged me not to. I told him Mike needs to come to our table and apologize for speaking to me the way he did. Mike came over to the table and kept making excuses about it being Mother's Day, how there was no way I was able to make a reservation via Opentable, etc. I interrupted him and told him it was Pablo who made up for our poor dining experience. He proceeded to go on and on about how Pablo is just a server, how XOC is HIS restaurant and he's the only manager. I explained to him that he has done nothing to make this a positive dining experience, very rude, how does he have a job in the hospitality industry when he is anything but hospitable. He wanted me to confirm this was going to be last time at XOC.
