XO on Elm Ratings and Reviews
It was my first time to XO. I was looking for a new experience for my husband's birthday. We love great food - my husband is mostly a vegan and I enjoy it all! I initially previewed the menu online and it seemed to offer a variety of delicious and creative options for both of us! We were definitely not disappointed! From the whipped feta Tapas to the rich and tasty desserts, including the excellent after dinner coffee, it was a meal to remember and one we'd like to repeat again very soon!
In Manchester for a show at the arena, and was on a somewhat tight schedule. Recommended by a family member to eat dinner at XO's. Stayed at the Raddison and the reviews for the restaurants there were not great. Calamari was the best. The hot pepper relish mixed in put it over the top. My wife had the escargot, it was great. We ordered small because of time restraint. Cocktails were good also. Everything seemed a little pricey, but you get what you paid for. You want good, you pay for good. You want ok, go to mcdonalds.
Excellent food and service! Steven our waiter provided helpful friendly service with great advice. The menu is varied with regular and smaller size dishes. The sesame tuna was to perfection with fresh vegetables and coconut cuscus . Service is prompt but not rushed. Wish I had room for desert. I'll be back often!
The food was good. Did not know that hey charges for refills on Coke until after we got the bill. The Mojhitos we ordered were not very good. The server made them and not the bar tender. My wife sent hers back because it tasted bad.
Dinners were good and the portions were a good size.
Food was amazing, but our waitress was horrendous! We had a party of 4, it took our waitress 15 minutes to come to the table to ask us if we wanted drinks, we now were running short on time, and had a concert to go to in an hour, so since we had plenty of time to look over the menu waiting for her to make an appearance, we gave her our dinner orders as well. She didn't deliver the food, NEVER checked back with us after the food was delivered, we had to go search for her after we were done eating to get another round of drinks and another tapas dish. I understand it was a concert nite, but to never come back to the table for 40 minutes is CRAZY! We will definitely go back, but will make sure the waitress from Ireland is not our waitress again!
Wonderful food, pretty fair prices, great waitstaff and and easy to find location right in downtown Manchester. We stopped in before a concert at the SNHU Arena since we knew we could make a reservation. Food was cooked to perfection and, most importantly, the waitstaff took our party's food allergy seriously.
One of my favorite restaurants in Manchester, and my go-to for date night! Care has been given to offer gluten free options, delicious, fresh local ingredients when available. In summer there isn't much outdoor seating but it's great if you can snag a table or find room on the couches for a cocktail and tapas.
We have eaten here many times and it has been outstanding. Unfortunately this last visit, I made sure to asked the waiter if it the meal included green beans due to that I am allergic to them. Everyone at the table heard the conversation and needless to say when the meal came out there was green beans on my plate. He apologized and went back to have it corrected. My advice to management they should follow up with customers in cases like this. Overall the food was great!
We arrived a little before our scheduled reservation, but were seated right away. We got a table by the window, overlooking the street, fun for people watching. Our server was attentive and pleasant. We ordered five different small plates and they were all delicious. I would definitely recommend XO Bistro, but make sure you have a reservation.
Dinner at XO was an enjoyable dining experience. The waiter was mindful we were eating prior to a show. He did a great job of keeping our meal moving without our feeling rushed through it. The food offering is varied and all that we had was delicious. The bar should have mint on hand on this shoulder season when guests may be craving even just a taste of the warm summer months to come, ergo would like a mojito.
Great food. Tables are too close to each other. A bit awkward. On our most recent visit, our waiter had quite a few tables. This slowed the service a bit, but the waiter was friendly and efficient. We will return as it is still one of our favorite places . The prices are a bit higher than I would expect ( about 20% high ), but the food is great. Overall, I will recommend.
This was our first dining experience at XO. We loved it. Great food. Friendly service. Convenient for show at the Palace Theatre. I do think that XO could rearrange the seating a bit. In the back it was tightly packed - so tough to have conversations. I think the front section could keep same number of seats, but just rearrange a little more creatively.
