The food was outstanding and cooked to perfection. Our waitress, Tammy makes this place very special time after time. She is your biggest asset!
We brought our friends from CT and they also enjoyed their meal and Tammy’s professionalism and charisma. We simply XO this place because of the service she provides.
Great food and our waitress Tammy was the best!!! We will definitely be back!!
Went on Saturday night. Swordfish tasted like it went bad. Food overall terrible.
Great experience. Food and server were awesome!
Tammy continues to bring the love with each time we eat here. The food is always great. The ambiance is fantastic.
Visiting providence and visited this restaurant. The food, drinks and service was excellent.
Romantic restaurant in Providence. Went here to celebrate Valentines Day..
Very good experience. Great food. The “not your mothers meatloaf “ was outstanding. Staff was engaging. Really enjoyed ourselves.
Found advertisement on FB gave it a try for Valentine’s Day ...Pleasantly surprise !!!The food was DELISH ,staff was friendly and came by just enough without being intrusive. The music was softly heard and we could have a conversation without yelling.Would definitely go back !Thinking brunch!!
Excellent food, service and drinks will definitely return!
It was a little pricy but for good reason. The food was WONDERFUL and on mondays they have half off bottles of wine so that was a great value. Very worth the visit.
We waited almost 1hour for our food to arrive. Server was not at fault but did not keep us appraised of reason for slow service
We had scallops and tuna steak. Once they arrived were delicious
Went there for my birthday! The atmosphere rates four stars, but my scallop dish had way too much spice. Very overpowering. And the Chicken special on a scale of 1 to 10 was maybe a 6. But what would have made our visit much better would have been some type of interaction with the waitress. She was lackluster at best no interaction. Very little input as to wines or food. That was the biggest drawback for us that night. We go out to eat a lot and interaction with our server rates right up there with atmosphere and food ,,,,,needs much improvement in that area
Cool place. The bartender Emma was a gem! Our drink and brunch meal was quite tasty.
Noise level was low and the space very warm and welcoming. We hope to try it again for dinner next time we visit Providence.
Our waitress was Fantastic!! You'd think she owned the place with how well she took care of us!
Expensive for what you get. It took one and a half after our soup to get our dinner. Both my husband and I had an upset stomach later that night. There are so many great restaurants in Providence, that there is no need to ever go back here.
Visited for their "PAJAMA BRUNCH" in PJs and bathrobes and all had a free Bloody Mary / Mimosa. Service very attentive and food very good. Will be back!
Must say one of the best New Year's Eve at a restaurant ever. The duck trio and tuna were incredible. Kudo's to Chef Andy , keep up the good work. The dessert by Pastry Chef Katie was undescribable, she made a chocolate lovers dream. It was so good we had to order more. Definitely a come back and one of the best restaurants in Providence.
Went w another couple on New Year’s Eve. Outstanding. Don’t miss the meatloaf. Delish. Terrific service. Will return💗
The Wednesday night fried chicken dinner special was SUPERB... as usual!
Good was excellent, great service, will definitely go again for brunch, and want to check out dinner menu.
Overall excellent dining experience. We had the meatloaf and filet mignon (cooked to perfection, not overdone). The staff were friendly, the atmosphere is casual, and it was just a really good dinner without being overly fancy.
Both the food and service were excellent.
I highly recommend the XO Filet for dinner, but save some room for the creme brûlée sampler: one citrus, one Irish coffee and one vanilla.
The Local Bomster Scallops atop a butternut squash pancetta risotto and the Not Your Mama’s Meatloaf both got two thumbs up!! And not a crumb was left of the Pear Upside Down Cake!!
We will definitely go back!!
Great service and the kitchen was willing to fulfill requests. We chose the restaurant because of its proximity to an event we were attending. I wish I had looked the menu over online. Many appetizers are fried and the entrees are heavy. Our waitress never rushed us and helped us navigate the menu. Monday night no whine was a great option that we did not use even though our waitress let us know about the " Merlot to go" option.
The food was great and the service was exceptional!
My boyfriend and I came here for dinner before a show for his birthday. There was brown duct tape on his chair covering a hole of the booth cushion. For the price of the food, this place should be pristine. The waitress wasn’t bad, but wasn’t the best. She didn’t tell us about the specials (I overheard another waitress tell the table next to us about them), she brought us bread after our app came out. We got the tuna tartare to start. It was very small. Smaller than the waitress told us it was and she admitted it when she brought it to the table. I got the tuna and my boyfriend got the duck. Overall the food was overpriced for what you got. It was good, but wasn’t excellent. My cosmo was very sweet and and the espresso martini wasn’t anything special. Overall this place is meh at best. I probably wouldn’t go back considering there are better options in the Providence area.
A great location pre/post Waterfire. Food was delicious, portions good and price reasonable.
My 1st time@XO & thoroughly enjoyed the experience!
We went to XO because I wanted the meatloaf and it did not disappoint!! Thanks
Our server was outstanding. Great drinks. Food just okay. Nice spot
Great food and service. Great atmosphere, as always.
Darkly lit, great late-night vibe. Good cocktail menu. Lots of people have a great time. Wednesday night is apparently fried chicken night!
Nothing to write home about really.
The Wednesday night fried chicken dinner special was excellent, as usual!
Great experience overall
Exceptional dinner sand appetizers
We dined here few months back. I ordered the
burger medium cook, but because it was a very
big burger, I bit around it just to find out it was cooked rare after all. I complained to the manager who apologized and offered me another one, but my date (husband) already finished his food so I declined. The manager did not charge the burger .
So this time (7-29-2017) I decided to go back.
Ordered the same thing (burger) with now
cook to medium well. When I got the burger I cut it in half to see the middle of the burger, it was still oozing with a little blood so I asked the waitress if it can be cooked to just a little bit.
My burger took a long time to comeback (the place was not busy at all!). When I finally got my burger it was very well done, the burger was to hard to bite! I was then very hungry so I ate most of it. By then I had decided not to comeback to this place.
The fried chicken dinner special on Wednesday is awesome... already planning on going back!
Always a favorite. Dinner before Waterfire with friends who had not been to XO before. They loved it. Tammy was our server and she was beyond fabulous. Great personality, friendly without being overly familiar. I had the scallops with sweet corn risotto. My wife tried the swordfish. We both loved out food. My wife said she avoids swordfish because it gets dry and tasteless but the XO version was cooked to perfection. A really good experience. And I love the artwork.
Excellent customer service, especially from Tammie! I would highly recommend it!! :)
best brunch in the city, always our weekend brunch spot when we are in Providence, food is locally grown and very fresh, well prepared and a great wait staff, well worth the trip, a must stop for brunch or dinner
