Xixa is a unique Mexican-fusion restaurant in New York City that offers a mixture of the cosmopolitan feeling of Mexico City with the quaint and traditional recipes found all over the Mexican countryside. The atmosphere is lively and communal, with large party-sized tables and plenty of room at the bar, which serves mezcal and wine along with a variety of craft beer. The seasonal menu at Xixa includes cheese dishes like fundido with taeggio and chorizo, breads such as chicken sopes, vegetable dishes such as Mexico City-style saut�ed edamame and more. Try a seafood special with scallops or octopus, a meat dish such as quail or braised duck or a bowl of the Xixa special green pozole hominy.

This was the second time I visited Xixa and I must say still amazing. I needed a second go round because the first time I had the Chef Selection which was very daring for a picky eater like myself. Chef Selection was good for the experience but I prefer to select my own dishes. This time I got to do that and again amazing amazing... Something to keep in mind, I think the menu is printed daily, so that means some dishes change. Call in advance if you are looking to have something specific to see if its on the menu.
