Xiandu Thai Fusion Cuisine
Very good food but vegetarians should be aware that a majority of their vegetarian options are made with fish sauce (i.e. pescatarian).
Food and service are consistently excellent!
My first time eating here and it was an excellent experience. There is Happy Hour from 5-7 if you stay in the bar area which we did. The drinks and appetizers were amazing. Highly recommend
Excellent food and service! No need of reservation.
We decided to eat here before a show at the Walnut Street Theatre, just down the street. The service was impeccable. The food was delicious, my daughter and I each order the Pad Thai - one with chicken and one with shrimp. The shrimp were plump and succulent. We also ordered a type of fried dumpling that was similar to crab Rangoon that was delicious but portion was very small - 4 tiny pieces. The sauce they were played on was divine. Highly recommend.
Delicious food with just the right amount of spice! Our server, Brian, was wonderful and delightful!
This was my first time at Xiandu and I chose this restaurant because we were seeing a play at the Forrest Theatre. The food was great and I would certainly return. Difficult to truly assess the noise level, as we ate before our 6:30 play, so the restaurant was pretty empty, we had an "early bird" meal that night.
Had dinner before we went to Forrest Theater. Nice seating, great service, great food and prices were very reasonable for large quantities per entree. Brian was a great server and we will definitely being going back again. Everyone at our table of 6 enjoyed food and overall experience.
I love Xiandu! So good!!!
Amazing food, the flavors come together so well and service was great!
Brian is an exceptional waiter! We followed his suggestions and had a great meal. This restaurant is conveniently located near the Walnut theater. Very Nice!
Great food and exceptional service! Their take on Pad Thai is wonderful. Not too sweet, great balance of peanut flavors, and silky noodles. Yum! The restaurant and staff are all very welcoming. The crowd is very diverse too-- as in all types of people and of all ages. You'll see the hipsters who are too cool sitting next to tables of older folks heading to the theaters on Walnut after dining as well as the after work diner crowds. It's nice to finally have a place like this! Thank you Xiandu!
Was not impressed with the food. Unfortunately, it wasn’t really good Thai food.
Very good Pineapple duck.
All the food was very good.
Ate here before a show at Forrest. Great food and service
Forrest Theatre tickets. Staff very thoughtful and accommodating. Surroundings very nice. Spring rolls were very good. Thai tea great. Both had shrimp pad Thai. I have had pad Thai many times. It was very sweet this time. Shrimp was over cooked. I did not like it at all. My companion ate a bit more than I did but only because she was very hungry. She left most of hers also. Staff very thoughtful. Offered to keep in refrigerator until show was over. We respectfully declined and did not complain. If that’s their recipe, we just won’t order it if we return.
Great food. Even though I bit into a carrot that was clearly pickled with a very very hot Thai chili pepper. I still managed to enjoy the food. Red curry and shrimp was outrageous.
Always a great meal. They can accommodate a large party very well.
Food is excellent and is reasonably priced in the high rent district. This is my go-to restaurant for center city!
Everything we ordered was delicious: crab wontons, cucumber basil cocktail, and pad thai. Got seated as soon as we walked in. Staff very friendly and attentive. Nice crowd and ambiance. Clean bathroom. Will definitely be back!!
Wonderful experience!!! Our server was wonderful and so attentive. The server even entertained my baby!
Great happy hour!!! You get a lot of food for the price.
Brian the server was great, personable and funny. The food was very good, I had the red curry shrimp, & Tom Yum Soup. we added some extra spicy sauce that they made available. The fried crab appetizers were great (forget actual name)
The overall experience was great. The server made some excellent recommendations and we enjoyed everything we had. Staff was bee friendly and checked in on you often. My husband and I throughly enjoyed our dinner.
I entertained 3 business friends, and we had a blast with some of best unique Thai foods we've had. All 4 of us had great meals and our server was Olive was very attentive and had a great sense of humor.
Basically, a great time and great food. I'll for sure go back next time in the Philadelphia area.
The food was good spice level was good. Service was exceptional. Loved it
Good food, good choices, good service. We had a great time!
Sat in the table at the front by the open entrance way to enjoy the scenic passerbys while dining. Our waitress was fun and friendly. Delicious lychee martini. Summer rolls with shrimp - good appetizer to share. The Drunken Noodle is *spicy*! The Pad See Ew was better with Sriracha.
The yellow curry is to die for, by far the nest I’ve ever had!
Excellent pre-theater meal venue!
If you are in the mood for casual Thai fusion food this is the place. They do certain items very well - chi
chi duck and Xanadu chicken. Stay away from the shu mei and the roti canal. The service is good and the price of wine is very reasonable for Center City restaurants.
The food was good & reasonably priced. The service was exceptional. Not too noisy and mellow vibe.
Food and service outstanding! Chicken Xiandu is amazing! Great value as well!
Excellent Thai fusion menu and Great service. Still a Center City favorite.
Highly recommend Xiandu! Everything was great. Including Brian our waiter! We will be back!
Wonderfully tasty Thai fried rice and the Peach Long Island are a hit.
Great Ambiance !!!! Bonnie served us wonderful Lychee Martinis - she is delightful. Our meal was excellent & service very attentive.
Excellent service and great drink specials. Fun for date night!
Fantastic experience at Xiandu Thai Fusion.
I picked this restaurant based on 3 factors:
1.) It got good reviews on OpenTable and other sites;
2.) It was Asian cuisine which fit into the theme of the show I was seeing at the Academy of Music that night (Ms. Saigon);
3.) It was one of only a few restaurants still accepting reservations the day before.
We showed up almost a half hour early for our reservation and had no problems getting a table. The waiter was extremely friendly and helpful with the menu. We ordered Red Curry Chicken and Shrimp Pineapple Fried Rice. Both were very flavorful and delicious. We also ordered the chicken satay as an appetizer and it was very good as well. The waiter explained the spice level and brought out other hot sauces to spice it up as needed. For dessert, we had mango sticky rice which was good, not great, but that may just be that it paled in comparison to the rest of the meal. The food was very reasonably priced. I will definitely be returning the next time I am in town and would recommend it to others.
