We celebrated Father’s Day at the restaurant . We were greeted with a smile and told we would be seated shortly as the young man at the front desk seated the party before us. He returned quickly and welcomed us and asked if we had been there before and recommended the fried chicken. The three courses offered a variety of items that allowed everyone in the group to find something they liked. The passing trays of lamb chops, tuna roll, coconut shrimp and I forget the fourth item were delicious and could have been a meal by themselves. We never had an empty glass because our server was so attentive! It was a wonderful afternoon! The food, view and service was impeccable !
Went there for our 15 years anniversary, as we were looking for something in that region. Were surprised to discover the waterfront area of Yonkers -- nicely developed. The building itself was special, and the views of the GW bridge and the Palisades at night were beautiful.
The food was really good. The short rib was just excellent. The penna cotta also impressive. The tuna tartar was yummy but not as outstanding as I was expecting it to be. The grilled octopus on the other hand was incredible. So, definitely a nice find!
We had a very good dinner and enjoyed the restaurant. The only problem was that it took 20 minutes to get our car from the valet. We don't know if they parked it very far away or they were just incompetent but everyone waiting for their car was complaining about the same thing.
We have eaten there for special occasions over several years. The quality of the food has deteriorated. The four of us rated the food as good but not great. One dish was poor ( the soft shell crabs). The best was the sea food crepe which was excellent. The carrot cake and the Oreo desert were very good, but not really great. We have loved the place so we’re very disappointed.
The food presentation was really outstanding. Service was good, but not as good as the food. The ambiance seemed a little "tired".
The food and ambience was excellent. The service was uneven.
As always great food impeccable service. Sensational view. What else could I say
Really great portions. The seafood crepe and Thai shrimp app were to die for. Great service and ambiance. Staff is very professional and attentive.
My entre, Berkshire pork was a bit well done. Was given a perfectly cooked second piece to take home, however which was appreciated.
The food is always excellent. The waterfront location of this restaurant contribute to the views being spectacular in all directions. The service is provided by a three-person crew and is generally good.
We have been to X20 many times and have never been disappointed. They frequently offer Groupons which is a plus as we would be unable to eat there as often without them. My only suggestion is that they need to tweak their menu as it has been the same for many a season. They do always have 3 “specials” which do vary but the menu still could be “refreshed”.
Excellent value for lunch and awesome service!! I totally enjoyed it!
Great experience as usual - excellent!
Wonderful dining experience. The food is excellent, the staff was very attentive.
Unfortunately, I eat at X2O more than I should. Each time I go the staff is friendlier than the last time. The food is excellent, I would like to see more daily specials. Overall they never disappoint. Love the cowboy steak and brûlée.
It was very upsetting. Service was extremely slow and not kid friendly. I reminded them that it was a birthday - and they forgot (after being told twice). Just was not impressed.
Awesome ambiance food and staff
Very creative dishes
Brought my wife to X2O for our anniversary. My wife is a vegetarian. The kitchen was very accommodating and cooked her an array of vegetables according to how she wanted them prepared.
Celebrating a 30th birthday with 6 people, X2O was exceptional. Everything was delicious - soft shell crabs , porterhouse, duck, and so many wonderful apps. Service was personal and professional .
Food was great and staff was amazing ! Very attentive to our needs, the view was perfect for an unexpected date
As ever, this was an outstanding experience. The food was absolutely delicious, presented attractively and accommodated personal peccadilloes such as low-salt diet and holdback on acidic items.
The service from all levels in the hierarchy was outstanding. Staff were timely with their attention without being obtrusive, and conversed with us in a friendly way.
The ambience is cool, calm and elegant, and capitalizes on the magnificent views. And that makes the ladies room as much a place to visit as the restaurant!!
The noise level is not too high, but was, by 1pm yesterday, beginning to get there. However, everything else more than compensates for this.
Thank you for yet another pleasurable experience.
Service, the wait staff are excellent very accommodating.
Perfect love X20
The ambiance was just beautiful. Loved the view and spacious surrounding.
Food was delicious, appetizer was amazing. We had shrimp with sesame noodles, pasta special, and seafood crepe. My son had hanger steak he liked it, I thought it was a bit touch. I had short ribs. They melted in your mouth. My husband had soft shell crabs, he loved it. My other son had pork medallions he gobbled up every drop. The desserts were all amazing. The service was impeccable. all in all it was a great place, We live in Brooklyn so its a bit far, but it was worth the trip.
Had a group of 12 celebrating my mom's 75th birthday. The food was excellent and the waiters/host went out of their way to make it a very special dinner. We were able to go out on the deck and take some beautiful pictures lover looking the Hudson River. We all had a spectacular evening!
Recently we enjoyed Brunch at Xaviars and thoroughly enjoyed the food. The beef entree was very tasty and cooked just right (medium rare). The salmon was a little overcooked but tasty also. The servers were always there to help even though the crowd was very large at the time (2 pm) we were there. The glasses were always filled with water and prosecco, bellinis, etc. We enjoyed the hors d'ouerves that were passed and the bread and rolls were delicious. Yonkers is a little difficult to navigate but once you get to the river, the restaurant is right there with a great view.
Lovely time celebrating Birthdays and an Anniversary.
The service was horrible - Beautiful restaurant with beautiful sunset view and very good food, but from the minute I called to confirm my reservation to the time we left the restaurant after celebrating my husbands birthday the service was at best friendly but slow / awkward and at worst just not available and confused. We sat right near the center service area and at all times were exposed to 10+ staff members bumbing into each other, with doors and draws open, trays of plates left sitting with no one seeming to know what goes where. I also mentioned in my open table reservation that we would be celebrating my husbands birthday and no one seemed to know until I mentioned it in passing to our waitress when he was ordering dessert. Last but not least....with the views of the hudson and SUNSET ....you need to ensure your window are SPOTLESS...anything less is absolutely unacceptable.
Still new to Westchester, I wanted to find a great location for my wife's birthday and decided on X2O Xaviars -- we could not have made a better choice! The views are lovely, though not spectacular but that might be because we were upstairs. (Pro tip: ask to be seated downstairs.) Still, there's no points deducted for that.
The food was, in a word, amazing. The butternut squash bisque was perfectly spiced with ginger - not something I thought I'd like but, wow! The rest of the party also enjoyed their appetizers, all commenting strongly positive about them. For main course, the quail was excellent (though a slightly more organized plating might be a thought); similarly the scallops were highly praised. We had a vegetarian in our party and though it wasn't on the menu, the chef prepares a vegetarian option that she raved about, so well done there!
Desserts were so good, I would visit X2O just for the desserts. I had a Lake Bled cream cake which was so much lighter than I expected and much more delicious. The oreos were house-made and excellent, and the other desserts (which I can't remember now) were all fantastic.
And before I forget: a very solid wine list. We decided to have a little fun and try the Oregon pinot noir, which turned out to be perfect for everyone. (Oregon wines have come so far in the past 20 years, it wasn't a risk, we just weren't sure if it would work for all plates. It did.) There's something for every wine palate and, though not the best wine list, you'll have no problem finding something you like.
Finally, a word about our waiter Diego. Quite frankly, I'd go back to X2O just because he was one of the best waiters I've ever had the pleasure to witness. Top-notch professional, discreet, and extremely helpful. He deserved the extra tip we threw in.
Tl; dr -- for a great dining experience in Westchester, make sure to put X2O Xaviars on your list. They will make you look good for choosing them! Not the cheapest but worth the price!
wonderful dining. Excellent food--beyond expectation.
The experience was wonderful as reflective in my rating of the specific categories. However, something should be done in the interior entrance to the restaurant. It was very unappealing, it had an unpleasant order, and standing water present awaiting for someone to slip. Especially in the area leading to the elevator.
Just my opinion, it should be better.
The food was mediocre. The special salad was not good. The baby bib lettuce tough , not palatable. The wine was the best part of the dinner. Also, we had about 6 different people wait on us, confusing.
It’s like my 10th time going to X2O. Each time better than the last. We love it there.
This is the best restaurant my wife and I have been to in Westchester. Service, ambiance, food all outstanding. Cannot say enough about our awesome dining experience.
The view up and down the Hudson river is really nice - beautiful, in fact: We had our meal upstairs. We walked a bit on the waterfront promenade prior to dinner, which was very nice. The service is very good and very attentive while not being intrusive. Seating was comfortable and setting relaxed. The bar is a very nice and comfortable space, though we did not spend much time there. The food was very good and creative, but not inexpensive. Valet parking was really the only way to park without having to walk a good distance, but vehicle retrieval was a bit slow afterwards due to quite a number of people exiting around the same time.
We really like to go sometimes for a dinner. Nice atmosphere, great food, good people.
The food was great as well as the service however the dining area windows were very very dirty. It was not appealing and with that nice of a view it is crazy to me that it is kept that way.
Its a lovely experience every time we go. The food is always yummy (cleaned plates at every course) but I do believe that the exceptional service makes the difference. The team always makes you feel at home.
Seated promptly. Window seats. Service was attentive, but food served too quickly between courses. I had a Groupon and the way they figured it out ended up costing me an extra $15. They added the tip on to the FULL price of the meal. But took off $3 for a Groupon discount. It was so confusing I just paid it. The restaurant is starting to show signs of wear and for such a nice place and location, they should throw a little money into it.
X2O needs to improve delivery of service, food and dress code for custormers. Staff was lethargic and waiter appeared disinterested. Don't mind paying $ 77.00 even with a Groupon worth $ 160. However, I have to say my overall experience was marginal at best.
