I absolutely loved my experience at X2O. The view of New York is beautiful. I would like to go back when it is warm and in the fall to really experience the view. The food was great and my waiter Marvin was attentive and professional.
Absolutely lovely place... magnificent views and great service. Be sure to let them know if you need a table on the main floor. There's no elevator to the top floor, so accessibility is an issue.
We’ve been to this restaurant on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed. We reserved this dinner to take advantage of Hudson Valley Restaurant Week. Apparently so did the rest of Westchester; the tables were packed in so tightly that you could hardly squeeze by. It felt like we were eating in a crowded diner. However, to their credit, they did hire additional staff so that the service was not impacted.
Not as good as usual. St. Peter's fish was bland and service was particularly disappointing.
The food is always good. One minor note: I've noticed that every time we go there, the windows are dirty. While the food is good, one of the selling points of the restaurant is the beautiful view of the Hudson River. It is distressing that what I notice most are the finger prints and smudges on the inside of the glass. This should be addressed every day.
Place is so lovely. Always clean, view spectacular, people so very helpful and pleasant.
The food and service were good. However, what impresses me, that did not happen well, was that the service knows which dish goes to who ordered it. I was glad that "Restuarant Week" (HVRW) gave me the opportunity to try it with a Chef that is known for beating Bobby Flay.
Lunch was wonderful and SO much to eat. All kinds of little extras! I loved it! The restaurant was very full, because it was Restaurant Week, but in spite of all the people - and the children - the atmosphere was still intimate.
Hard to beat. Nice room, great food, great views, attentive service, all for a fixed price. You won’t leave hungry.
The food was promptly served as service was very good. Just very crowded as it was Restaurant Week.
Brought my fam here for restaurant week. Great meal, great balanced service, and great value during rest. Week. Each course tasted better than the next.
We went out for dinner in restaurant week, that is why...
Everything was wonderful. Amazing value for restaurant Week.
We visited X20 Xaviar's recently as part of the Restaurant Week promotion. It was our first time at this restaurant and the promotion made it an exceptional value ($32.95 for a three course dinner). The restaurant is beautiful and the view is amazing as the restaurant is built on a pier in the Hudson River. We were on the top level, but both dining levels appeared to offer great views. We both enjoyed our food very much and look forward to returning in the future to try different menu choices. The service was suburb and very attentive and it was great to be offered a freshly-baked small baguette as the bread offering for the meal. The service was unusually fast, perhaps too fast and I wonder if this was because of the special promotion offered at that time.
Restaurant Week menu was great, no skipping here! Many options, plus specials, and generous portions. Couldn't have been happier
One of the best restaurants in the Hudson Valley . One of the draw backs for me is the Wine List is out of my price range so it keeps me from coming as much as I would like to.
A "CLASS" operation
It was a perfect evening with clear views of the George Washington Bridge and Tappan Zee Bridge and beautiful Hudson. As it got later, the lights from bridges and NYC was beautiful. Our dinners were beyond expectation. My rating goes beyond excellent and to perfection. As one who does not drink much wine, I loved the wine recommendation. The selections on the menu made decision -making so difficult but one cannot go wrong. Thanks you for a lovely dining experience!!
Attentive staff, great food, very timely service and always a smile.
Wonderful atmosphere, service, food. It is always a treat to eat at X2O. There is always a "welcome" atmosphere.
Delicious tuna roll, chicken, and salmon. Love the warm rolls. Carrot cake disappointingly tiny! Cobbler was smaller than usual. New pastry chef?
Fantastic service. Great food and view. Surprisingly big restaurant week menu.
You will never be disappointed at X2O. The food, service, view is always wonderful.
Everything was perfect
We went for Restaurant week. We sat quite a while before a waiter came to take our order. The glazed salmon and short ribs were excellent. 12 staff in the restaurant, it was not full and could not get a glass of ice. The service has gone down hill, but the food is amazing.
Third time here, never had issues. This time, there were fishbones (5 thick bones) in fish. Service was slow.
Got charge extra for drinks we did not order.
Fantastic food and wine from many local vendors, excellent service, beautiful views, and wonderful menu with something for everyone. Go and enjoy, you won't regret it!
As always, the service was impeccable, food was delicious, good value for wines by the glass. Hudson Valley Restaurant week is a great value. Regular menu & a few extra items added to the choices on the HVRW menu as well. Was a crystal clear evening which made for fantastic views of the River & the GWB. Only negative, the desserts where not up to par. Which was totally surprising. Love X20 Xaviers on the Hudson, will continue to return again & again!
This is simply the best restaurant for miles around! Service, menu, location with views of the Hudson River at every table - it is a pleasure to dine at this world class restaurant! We dined this time during Restaurant Week - and they do not cut corners or cheapen at all, unlike many other restaurants - X20 lives up to its reputation, and upholds its standards all the time.
Let's begin--Pate w/foie gras--delicious! Sea Scallops w/mousseline potatoes and haricot vert, perfect. Dessert was a smorgasbord of Lake Bled pastry, fresh berries and a vanilla custard w/peanut butter and chocolate mousse--outrageous.. It was packed and the servers were all attentive, polite and helpful. Love this place for all the delicious reasons!!
The best. What more can you say
Excellent food and service. Awesome desserts. Best restaurant in the area by far
Really excellent. Food was well prepared and flavorful. Service very attentive without being over the top.
I have come here regularly for about a decade. The food and service are consistently beyond sensational. From the reception to the departure, attention to detail is impeccable. If Chef Peter is able, he visits his guests to make sure they are happily dining. Special shout outs to Luna and Julian who make us feel like we are part of their family...AND WE DO! Michelin Star long overdue here. Can not recommend this restaurant too highly. Long may it thrive!!!
Excellent tasty food along with excellent service. Impressive atmosphere. Highly recommended. Will be back.
The food and table service was outstanding.
However, the service at reception was not so great and did detract from the overall experience. The staff had their heads buried in the computer and did not give clear direction to those being served or those waiting in line.
I dine at least 3-4 times a year at X20 since 2012. I love the location and used to love the menu. My last two or three dinners were different though.
1. the restaurant is way more packed than time ago - I do not mean just more clients, but the number of tables has been increased. It has become loud.
2. Service is not up to par anymore: this last dinner we had 4 different waiters randomly taking orders, delivering dishes or beverages. I ordered red wine only to wait until the first dish was over before it arrived. We ordered a special 'braised tuna with Japanese mushrooms' and a tuna sashimi which is on the regular menu - first 3 of four dishes are delivered, I am lectured that I did not order sashimi but a second braised tuna (which by the way did not arrive), then I get served a tuna tartare mistaken for the tuna sashimi, until eventually I get the sashimi I had asked for - obviously at this point after all the other friends had had their first course.
3. Food - dishes are still original (we had duck, seafood crepes, short rib etc.) - but look pre-cooked and stale.
Breaks my heart! this is one of my favorite restaurants. I guess they are trying to do too much.
Always great food and very good service.
Always enjoy my time here! Love this place!!!
Love, love coming to this restaurant. Food is always outstanding, service impeccable, and ambiance great...even on a rainy day.
Already planning our next time at X2O.
What a beautiful place to Dine. The view is beautiful. Service was great, food was excellent. Drinks were great, prices are very reasonable for any occasion . I would highly recommend Xavier's X2O..
