X20 is such a beautiful dining space, overlooking the Hudson and with a view of the GW Bridge and Empire State Building which was lit up in a neon pink on the night we were there. The food is consistently good, although the menu tends to be repetitive.
The Service is good, but not great. We had to wait 15 mins for some butter for our table! We were also initially taken to a table next to a large party with a small infant in a carriage. I am glad that we asked for a table further away, as the infant was crying on and off for about 20 mins.
Overall though, this is a superb restaurant and well worth the trip!

One of our favorite restaurants, we drive from Long Island to dine here. Beautiful space, great views of the Hudson and the Pallisades, excellent locally sourced food, with influences from around the world. Excellent wait staff.

We were there for Sunday brunch for birthday celebration for 29-year-old son. The place was packed. Unfortunately we were seated at a table near the entrance next to and looking into (1 seat) the area where wait staff works. The food was very good and wait staff were very nice but there were a few small problems. The wait between our meal and dessert was very long and in the mean time they served our coffee and tea which was finished and/or cold by the time dessert came. We asked for 2 teas - peppermint and they brought green tea. When I booked the table I requested birthday candle on dessert plate and also reiterated that with person who called and confirmed date. They brought 2 birthday plates & candles -one for each son.

The food was absolutely fabulous. The Octopus appetizer was delicious and the short rib and hanger steak were amazing. A glass of Garnacha was reasonable. We definitely plan on going back.

X20 exceeded my expectations. I had thought it might be stuffy and pretentious but it was actually quite friendly and comfortable.
The food was flawless and the service faultless.

Who is in charge? Employees BS amongst themselves. You check in through Opentable, they don't record it. The bottles behind the bar were filthy. Service slow and couldn't get a simple order correct. Stay away.

It was my first time at Xavier’s it was recommended to be by a co worker. I took my husband there for lunch for his birthday. The food was good. We order the steak and mashed potatoes for a entree, squash bisque soup-as an appetizer and the red velvet cake for dessert. It was from a fixed menu. The atmosphere was great 👍🏽He absolutely loved it. He gave me a card thanking me for a wonderful birthday. Thanks Xavier for helping me make his day special.

Can't say enough about the quality of the food and service. Exceptional all around with a fantastic view of the Hudson River - both south to NYC and north along the Palisades.

Food was AMAZING. Service was a little slow to start but once order was placed, food followed seamless.

We had a 9pm reservation and didn’t get called until 9:40pm. That was a huge turn-off but other than that, I would frequent the place again.

We booked for 8.30 pm but waited 50 (fifty) minutes to get seated.
Food is OK, but not extraordinary as I read in some reviews, same for the ambiance; the entrance of the restaurant looks like a movie theater. The restaurant itself is right on the Hudson, and has a beautiful view when there is light outside, for lunch on on summer evening, but in when it is dark, there is no view and it is nothing "special".

We went for restaurant week to try it out. Food was good but both hubby and myself felt the short ribs could have been flavored better. Service was good, they were busy but needed water more often. Overall would recommend. Request window seating as some views are beautiful.

Exceptional service from the manager, Julian, and his team made this a terrific dining experience.

The food was quite good with the standout dishes being the crispy tuna roll appetizer and the Belgian chocolate tart. Sugar snap peas were cooked perfectly but green beans suffered from far too much salt.

This was disappointing at best. This was my husbands favorite restaurant and to be honest after this past Sat might we will NOT be back. We arrive for our res. and were promptly seated and assured that the sugar free desert for my husband would be served later. The Captain came over to present us the menu and asked if we wanted any drinks, we said not right now, maybe later and he went off in a huff. He came back a few minutes later to take our order and that was the last time we would see or hear from himn for over 2 hrs, until someone fetched him for us, so we could get the check and get out of this horrible night. A busboy came to offer us water and baguette and butter was brought to the table. Again I had to beg someone to get a busboy so my water glass could be refilled and not one offer of another baguette . While the appetizer was good the entrees were terrible The pork rack was dry and my short ribs were beyond fatty and the crisp Brussel sprouts were overcooked and soggy (my husband the week before had the short ribs at Restaurant X in congers and they were wonderful) After we finished our entrée, we sat with dirty dishes in front of us for more than 30 minutes and again had to flag someone down to take the dirty dishes away and ask for our desserts. A runner plopped down our deserts and again had to flag someone down to get some coffee. Finally someone got the captain for us who we had not seen for more than 2 hrs and my husband gave him a $50.00 gift card and he proceeded to take my husband the balance was another $51.00 . Now since we had ordered off the HWRW menu the total was nowhere near the $101.00 dollars he claimed we owed (remember no one came back to ask us if we wanted drinks, so we had none and only the coffee was an extra. My husband had to get someone to straightened out the check. We could not leave fast enough. . This night was a minus 1. Not one person every game over to ask if our meal was okay, if anything was wrong

I was very disappointed in this restaurant, which is a shame because I had such high expectations. We arrived at 8:35 for an 8:30 reservation and were told our table wasn’t ready and if we would like, we could wait by the bar area. I spent a good ten minutes trying to get the bartenders attention to get a cocktail. Thankfully a woman next to me yelled and he finally acknowledged me. At 9:10, we went back to the reception area and asked if our table was almost ready as this was getting ridiculous. They finally sat us and gave us restraurant week menus. I said, is this the Groupon menu? They said, no, the other menu was and left us with two paper menus. Not sure why we couldn’t have 4 as their was 4 of us. We ordered appetizers and we were not impressed. My gf could barely eat hers. My tuna tartare was okay. The groupon included Prosecco so we started with that, it was okay, tasted cheap and sweet. We then ordered a bottle of white which was really warm. First time in my life that has ever happened. Thankfully they went and chilled it for us. The manager suggested I order the Skate for dinner which was pretty terrible to say the least. A piece of frozen breaded fish over mashed potatoes and greens. Not impressed. Furthermore, and this really drove me insane, the waiter came by as i had a fork full of food in my mouth and asked if he could take my plate. I said, no. He came back 5 minutes later and asked again and I said, yes, whatever, just take it. I felt like we were getting kicked out after they made us wait 40 minutes to sit down to begin with!

Then we ordered dessert. My boyfriend asked for the cheese plate which I was really looking forward to. How could they mess up a cheese plate? Turns out, they didn’t even have it (apparently because it was restaurant week). Right. The other desserts didn’t even sound exciting . The carrot cake was huge and tasteless. I left annoyed and aggravated to say the least.

We mentioned we were there for our anniversary in conversation and they surprised us with special dessert plates. High recommended for a nice night out!

I went with a friend for a date on a Thursday during restaurant week. She was late, so I waited at the bar and had a cocktail. Drink was absolutely delicious (yet pricey), and both bartenders were attentive. Once my friend arrived we were seated upstairs, which was good because it was a bit quieter up there. We loved all the food- risotto app, she had halibut and I, sirloin for our entrees. Both desserts were tasty too. Our wait staff was very attentive through our meal, and then disappeared at the end of it. We waited a bit too long (almost 20 minutes?) to get our check after finishing our desserts. That was my only gripe for the whole evening. Overall, I would return.

We had lunch during Hudson Valley Restaurant Week. It’s a bit of a trip from northern Westchester, so we don’t go often, but it’s well worth the trip. Great setting, so I wish they would have a warm weather restaurant week but the view across the Hudson is spectacular at any time. Special tuna roll, beef cheeks ravioli and espresso cake perfect for any meal.

It was a terrible experience. We had 3 waiters and there was no coordination and everything was delayed. Steak was supposed to be meium, came back rare. Asked for bread, waiter went to another table. Made reservation well in avance and asked for a window table for a birthday celebration. Seated on the second floor (no elevator or restroom there) in the center of the restaurant. Waiter asked to refill a Coke and charged us for a 2nd beverage (mostly ice). 2 people in our party got sik during the night. We will never dine there again (we have dined there on several occasions) and will NOT recomment to anyone. If I want an Xavier's experience, I will go to the Bully Boy.

One of my consistently favorite Westchester restaurants that has always been great. However, the service has slipped. Inattentive with lots of employees working the room doing different services, but no one paying close attention. We had to ask repeatedly for more bread, another cocktail, our check which was incorrectly calculated and had to get sent back. We were charged for 3 rounds of drinks when in fact we only had 2. Bus boys were too quick to remove plates. We weren't even finished eating and they were trying to take the plates away. Valet is another problem. Slow, long waits arriving and leaving. I'm not sure I'll go back again which is unfortunate because Peter Kelly is a phenomenal chef and the food was absolutely delicious. It's all the other stuff that needs some attention.
