X2O Xaviars on the Hudson
Had a great dinner just before the Great Shut Down. The last supper!
From the moment you walk in and are greeted by the lovely smiling Hostess until you leave dining at X2O is a superb dining experience. Honestly, nothing could have been better. Food taste, presentation and portion size are perfect. The save staff are ultra professional and top notch. We will be back.
My favorite place to eat and the views are amazing. The staff is friendly and professional.
A very nice venue with beautiful views of the Hudson and NYC skyline. The crowd was a little older (we went for dinner on a Saturday night). The service was exceptional and the food tasty all around. I plan to go back for brunch, which I expect to be a more traditional brunch based on dinner (not the "turn up" brunches that places do now, which can be fun also). Definitely recommend.
The lunch prix fixe is one of the best deals in town. After all, where else can you get three excellent courses for just $27? While the menu doesn't change much, the choices are ample and varied, so even the fussiest eaters should be able to find selections that they will enjoy. And enjoy they will. Three of us dined there and chose different appetizers, soup, salad, and risotto and all were excellent. Two duck orders, a perennial favorite amongst our group, and one salmon, cooked perfectly and presented in a very attractive manner, made up the entrees. As for dessert, two strawberry trifles, loaded with strawberries, and one chocolate torte, made for a wonderful ending. Excellent food, and service was terrific.
always excellent food and service. glad to come during this challenge to our way of life. Help to keep our restaurants open so we can all get through this time.
Incredible value here - beautiful restaurant, amazing food, attentive service and incredible views of NY City. Unbeatable. Highly recommended.
Yes. The food was very good and the service was excellent. The only con was the location.
Fantastic brunch spot! Wonderful three course prix fixe with bottomless mimosas and bellinis, along with mushroom raviolis, lamb chops, and she's shrimp on the side. Amazing!
Great value for money brunch option in a pretty venue with more food than you can eat. The menu had good variety
We love Xavier’s. Definitely a family favorite and we enjoy bringing friends for their special occasions. My one criticism is that although we are rather frequent patrons( we live 1 hour away) they always try to give us a undesirable table.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE X20! The food is exquisite and the service is second to none. This is fine dining in Yonkers! Enjoy!
Was given a gift certificate as an anniversary gift and finally got to use it. We were concerned that we should try to use sooner than later since Peter Kelly has filed bankruptcy. We were very surprised that the restaurant was pretty busy and almost complete full when we left. It was a wonderful meal! I had the hanger steak and it was cooked perfectly and very tender. My husband had the venison and he kept raving how delicious it was. We would love to come back and fingers crossed the restaurant will stay open for business.
Excellent ambience. Food was very good. Lovely evening
Everything about the venue was great. Well, with exception of the vallet parking situation. The food was outstanding. Such a different array of dishes. Can’t get food like that anywhere else
Great time! Great food!
First visit was amazing. Both the food and service were outstanding. Definitely a favorite!
As always, consistently excellent food and selection. Oddly, the service was a little 'off', usually it is perfection.
A truly delightful lunch. The setting is wonderful with views of the George Washington bridge and the new Tappan Zee bridge.
The food was outstanding as was the service. Will definitely go back
While the view is simply outstanding, and the service good, the food was really disappointing, overpriced, under-portioned, and not served hot. Two of the three appetizers were good - the scallops and special pasta, but the mains we had were quite disappointing. The salmon was shockingly small for a $36 dish, was over cooked, tasteless and drenched in butter. The pork chop was very tough and not good and the halibut was tasteless. Interestingly, being a high end place, when the runner asked how everything was and I told him that the apps were good but the mains weren’t, he said he was sorry and walked away. And that was it. No manager came over to ask what was wrong.
We always enjoy eating here.
Always excellent. Menu and specials are unique and it’s always hard to decide. Everything was excellent.
I was concerned after reading some negative reviews, but when all was said and done, my wife and I had a great experience. The service was a bit slow, and one waiter seemed to have tons of table, with the help of a support staff. However, the food was fantastic, the cocktails well made, and the price reasonable. Would go back again!
The food was excellent. The service was above average. There is one thing I didn’t appreciate. There were two separate bills and the tip was included. No one mentioned this to us. We almost tipped on the top. One bill was for the drinks and the other bill had the tax and tip minus the Groupon. I have alerts on my credit card and queried why I was charged twice and then I was told the tip was on one bill with taxes and the drinks on another. Don’t like this system and if so... they should let the customers know. Didn’t appreciate that at all.
We had a wonderful evening having dinner at X2O. Everything was exceptional. We ordered the specials for entrees: venison and cod. Perfect!! Appies were the warm shellfish and a scallop special. Yummy!! We love coming here and can’t wait to return. The staff knows us and really makes us feel welcome.
The food is just beyond great! Interesting, delicious, plentiful! The wait staff is just the best. Friendly, amazingly competent. And the menu always delights. The preparation is great. I would go back time and again--we do!
The meal was amazing and the wait staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. We had a large crew (11) and they did a fantastic job! Highly recommend!
This is without a doubt the BEST RESTAURANT in Westchester: food, ambiance, view and service are superb. You will never have a bad meal and value for the dollar is tops.
My suggestion for a great afternoon: have lunch at X2O and walk it off at nearby gorgeous Untermeyer Gardens! Congratulations, Peter Kelly, for your consistent excellence!
The view is incredible. The staff was very kind and always available. The taste of the food was outstanding and the presentation was delightful. You could actually hear the people at your table without shouting.
limited brunch menu of 6 choices and only one breakfast item. However all dishes were very good. Superb service. Fantastic view.
Awesome place for a special occasion, or in our case, just because you want a special place to be with special friends. This place never disappoints. The service is spot on. The food is wonderful. The place is beautiful. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Yes, of course I will be back.
Always a Pleasure!
Excellent Wait Staff!
We’ll be back!
Food was delicious and the service was excellent. Incredible view.
The Lunch at X2O is an open secret!! The quality of food is amazing. The quantity for most of us is sufficient. The service is attentive but not looming. Have them suggest wine pairing with your meal.... The ambiance with this great food and service that doesn't get in the way absolutely makes the experience! :)
As usual, this restaurant is a fabulous experience. From the service, to the ambiance, to the wonderful food. It excels each time we go there.
Food was good, service attentive and the room was elegant. The dishes I had, grilled octopus and sweetbreads were very good, but not significantly better than other less expensive restaurants where I have had them. They brought a special happy birthday dessert for my wife because I indicated it was a birthday dinner in open table so kudos for that. She was pleased with her dishes as well including the skate.
The ambiance was beautiful! Extremely high ceilings with views both behind my dinner guest and me. I made a reservation for 6:00 PM so that he would be able to enjoy a view of the sunset while he enjoyed a cocktail and had some appetizers. The service staff was knowledgeable and kind, sharing information about the evenings specials and willing to support us with pairing a wine to each of our entrees. The entrees were delicious and the portions were satisfying while leaving room for a delicious dessert. My dinner guest enjoyed himself and his birthday dinner was a hit. We plan on visiting again in the near future.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere as always. Too bad we didn't catch Chef Kelly making his rounds, but the staff was top notch.
We have been here several times in the past, most recently in November for another Birthday. The brunch menu was good. My only issue was that the waiters with “butler passed” apps kept walking by our area directly to the larger part of the dining room! I actually asked the host TWICE for someone to stop by and serve us lamb chops and shrimp. Waitstaff also forgot to bring the birthday cake...I asked the hostess to find it and present it. WTH?
