The food and service were great and the view, of course, spectacular.
We love lunch at X2O. Imagine three courses of high quality food for $27. While the menu remains relatively stagnant, the first class food and service brings us back on a regular basis. Oftentimes there are a couple of specials added to the list, but the soups, salads, and risotto, along with the salmon, beef, and duck are so nicely prepared that we don't choose them that often. I did have the special appetizer of ravioli with mushrooms, and it was superb.
I can’t count how many times at are at X2O, it my favorite restaurant you can’t be disappointed. I loved everything!! See you next time.
Nothing stellar about this experience. Been many times and usually the food is very good. This time it was just eh - seemed like food was mass produced and sat under heat lamps until it was ready to be brought to table. Sauce on short rib and hanger steak was congealed by the time it was served. Appetizer special of tagliatelle was very good though. Service, especially drinks were very slow. On a few occasions tried to clear table while clearly evident we were still eating. Made a note on reservation it was for a birthday dinner, hostess and staff made zero reference to that. In no rush to return, think I’ve seen the best this place can do.
our waitress was wonderful and delightful!!!!, food was great, my wife and I were celebrating our anniversary.
Every year some family members meet for lunch at X20 and every year we have a wonderful meal. The staff is friendly without being overbearing.
Four of us had Caesar Salads, two of us did not want anchovies. The waiter suggested giving the two who wanted anchovies the anchovies from the others did not so they would get additional anchovies. The only complaint was that when the salads came out there were none on all the salads and when we asked for them they gave us one each.
The thanksgiving dinner was subpar, particularly in comparison to other nights. The turkey was very dry and the sides were not very good either. Dessert was at least good. And, we were seated upstairs in what looks like a catering room in any other restaurant.
The food was delicious-flavorful
And beautifully presented. The service was great-very professional, friendly and gracious. It was a fantastic meal.
Went on Thanksgiving; we had been there several times over the past couple of years and had a great experience each time. Ordering from the pre-fixe menu, the food was good but not excellent as it has always been in the past. I'm sure the menu limitations and the resulting volume of each dish had something to do with that. The service was unfailingly polite and professional, but things moved fairly slowly. Of course it is expensive ( the tab ran to just under $500 for four of us, with a glass or two of wine each), but we'll certainly go back, probably on a non-holiday weeknight.
This is the third Thanksgiving that we have dined at X2O. With each year the experience has become more disappointing. First we were seated upstairs for a 2:30 reservation with many, many vacant tables on the first floor. The second floor staff appeared to be less seasoned. The food was mediocre at best. Also, the menu has changed very little over the last few Thanksgiving. For those who are maki g this restaurant a tradition the menu has become boring and predictable. Valet service was horrific. We waited 35 minutes for our car and there were others that were waiting longer. Finally, the sewage smell when you walk in the building is disgusting!
Excellent meal. Groupon was an excellent deal!
Probably not , the service was bad the manager was rude.
They didn’t pass with all the appetizers at our table and after telling the manager he gave an attitude and put on table a platter of lamb chops like saying “her eat stuff your face. “The sushi never came by and we were celebrating a 50th bday . The friend that recommended it was embarrassed for telling us to go there.
The food and service are outstanding. The brunch was delightful and relaxed in a beautiful setting.
Very good steak. Portions were less than what i thought but very good overall.
Beautiful evening and excellent food. The waitstaff provides amazing service within a lovely ambience.
it was our first time dinning at X2o Xaviers on the Hudson, the dinner was great, the only thing that I wish they had done was to read my request. It was my husbands birthday and I was waiting for them to bring out the dessert with a candle. My husband was somewhat disappointed since he did see that other's were acknowledge.
Food was not up to par. Head waiter lady is annoying
Great place to bring a date.... the food and service was superb.
Makes lunch feel like a special occasion. The best value in Westchester and in the surrounding area.
$27.00 for a three course lunch with excellent, caring and attentive service and, of course, stunning views.
I am always reminder why I live this restaurant so much..the ambiance, food, the service, the views. Simply amazing!!!
Outstanding restaurant, I have been there many times and will go back.
A true gem on the riverfront. Amazing food and wine, wonderful ambiance.
The service was impeccable, the food was perfectly delectable, the atmosphere was memorable. I would love to do dine there again.
Outstanding food. Outstanding outdoor views and ambiance. The main waitress who took our order and checked on us (from Ecuador) felt like an old friend. Now the not-so-good-stuff. I haven't been in a bathroom with grosser floors than this place - my shoes stuck to the floor around the urinal. None of the waiters who brought our food knew where they should go, and this happened with drinks, apps, main course, and dessert. We had to ask every time for someone to come to the table, except for the bread server. We had to get up and go find our main waitress to get the check. This all said to show you one thing: I would still recommend this place to a friend because the food is that outstanding. Just be careful leaving at night - we ran into a few drug users who were very high, one of them screaming and running through the parking garage.
I have been coming to Peter Kelly’s brunch since it was in Garrison, this was the worst experience and I would not recommend it to anyone.
The bread selection offered to us was only Italian bread,no muffins or nut breads. The appetizers were ok,good seafood crepe, the salmon entree was at most 2oz,with 1/2 cup of orzo and one piece of broccoli rabe, chicken looked much better and cod portion was maybe 3oz.The waiters and waitress seemed to forget who got which passed hor dvors, I had to ask for shrimp and lamb chops.
From the bathrooms to the chair covers, all looked very worn out.
One of the finest restaurants in Westchester and Fairfield Cty.
As always Sunday brunch at X2O was outstanding.
Had a 9:00pm reservation. At 9:45pm I asked when we would be seated. We were seated shortly after. Clearly they forgot about us. Bread was brought to the table but no butter or olive oil. Food was okay but nothing special. The wine list was uninspired. Server started taking my wife’s dish away before she was finished.
A neighborhood gem, that consistently provides a memorable dining experience. Exceptional food and service, never disappointing, worth the drive. No matter what the occasion, X2O should be your first choice.
It was restaurant week so the value is deceptive, but we come here often and it is one of the best restaurants in Westchester.
We went on a weekend. Wait staff was very attentive as was the service. I would have increased my star rating had our food not come out tepid to downright cold. We had to send our sides back for sure. It's something I generally don't like to do.
My husbands pork chop was perfectly cook and well-heated so he was okay with it. I had the scallops. They were very good, but again tepid. You just cannot reheat scallops so I tried enjoyed most of the dish even though I was disappointed with the temperature.
The appetizers were spot on (Tuna Poke and Caesar Salad)!
We'll try it again on a weekend night or for brunch. The views would look incredible during the day.
Enjoyed our time last Saturday night for Restaurant Week. Food was good and the service was excellent. The only thing was we didn't get our request to be seated by the window.
I have been to plenty of establishments during the Hudson Valley Restaurant week and this one far exceeded all the others. Their menu was plentiful and varied. I went with three other people and we totally enjoyed the meal. The dishes were well prepared and beautifully presented. The wait staff was very courteous and conducted themselves in a most professional manner. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant for any occasion.
Was a great place to have dinner, I went on restaurant week so it was also a great deal. Absolutely fantastic food, service is top notch, and the location is absolutely beautiful with the city skyline in the background.
We expereinced a few bumps with the service - received the wrong appetizers. received a second bill after already paying.... After each error they apologized profusely. We took it all in stride. Meal was excellent and didn't distract from the good time we had.
Only glitch, requested a reheat on my delicious Black Truffle Risotto which was returned with a food temp to my desire. Thanks .
The food was wonderful as always and the atmosphere perfect for a birthday celebration. However it took us 10 minutes to valet park the car and we waiting 40 minutes to get our car at the end of our dinner. The valets were overwhelmed and couldnot keep us with the number of people requestion their cars. A solution should be adapted.
Just love the atmosphere. There is no bad seating.
Always try to make it during Restaurant week. It gives me the opportunity to experiment. I had the crispy tuna appetizer, fabulous.
