X2O Xaviars on the Hudson
The meal was amazing and the wait staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. We had a large crew (11) and they did a fantastic job! Highly recommend!
This is without a doubt the BEST RESTAURANT in Westchester: food, ambiance, view and service are superb. You will never have a bad meal and value for the dollar is tops.
My suggestion for a great afternoon: have lunch at X2O and walk it off at nearby gorgeous Untermeyer Gardens! Congratulations, Peter Kelly, for your consistent excellence!
The view is incredible. The staff was very kind and always available. The taste of the food was outstanding and the presentation was delightful. You could actually hear the people at your table without shouting.
limited brunch menu of 6 choices and only one breakfast item. However all dishes were very good. Superb service. Fantastic view.
Awesome place for a special occasion, or in our case, just because you want a special place to be with special friends. This place never disappoints. The service is spot on. The food is wonderful. The place is beautiful. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Yes, of course I will be back.
Always a Pleasure!
Excellent Wait Staff!
We’ll be back!
Food was delicious and the service was excellent. Incredible view.
The Lunch at X2O is an open secret!! The quality of food is amazing. The quantity for most of us is sufficient. The service is attentive but not looming. Have them suggest wine pairing with your meal.... The ambiance with this great food and service that doesn't get in the way absolutely makes the experience! :)
As usual, this restaurant is a fabulous experience. From the service, to the ambiance, to the wonderful food. It excels each time we go there.
Food was good, service attentive and the room was elegant. The dishes I had, grilled octopus and sweetbreads were very good, but not significantly better than other less expensive restaurants where I have had them. They brought a special happy birthday dessert for my wife because I indicated it was a birthday dinner in open table so kudos for that. She was pleased with her dishes as well including the skate.
The ambiance was beautiful! Extremely high ceilings with views both behind my dinner guest and me. I made a reservation for 6:00 PM so that he would be able to enjoy a view of the sunset while he enjoyed a cocktail and had some appetizers. The service staff was knowledgeable and kind, sharing information about the evenings specials and willing to support us with pairing a wine to each of our entrees. The entrees were delicious and the portions were satisfying while leaving room for a delicious dessert. My dinner guest enjoyed himself and his birthday dinner was a hit. We plan on visiting again in the near future.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere as always. Too bad we didn't catch Chef Kelly making his rounds, but the staff was top notch.
We have been here several times in the past, most recently in November for another Birthday. The brunch menu was good. My only issue was that the waiters with “butler passed” apps kept walking by our area directly to the larger part of the dining room! I actually asked the host TWICE for someone to stop by and serve us lamb chops and shrimp. Waitstaff also forgot to bring the birthday cake...I asked the hostess to find it and present it. WTH?
The Sunday brunch is terrific. The only mishap is that they need to improve the valet parking...it takes too long to get your car back.
Service at this location has significantly declined. Food presentation was terrible.
X20 is the best restaurant in the Hudson Valley. Bar none.
Great atmosphere. Great views even though it was night time. Great service.
The octopus appetizer was a bit over charred. The dessert was delicious (lava cake with grand marnier ice cream). The ambiance was nice although we had a very wobbly table. The servers were friendly but one of the hostesses was kind of rude while the other seemed the complete opposite. Our biggest issues involved the two main courses we chose. In hindsight, we should have asked how the food was prepared. The skate was fried and had very minimal seasoning. My protein was a bit tough and overcooked. The vegetables were flavored very well and I enjoyed the flavor combination. The risotto was delicious but the spaetzle was nothing like we were expecting and a let down because of it. Overall, I don't know if I would go back but if we did, we would be more meticulous in our entrée choices.
The dining experience was excellent but the whole evening was ruined by the parking valet attendants. They took two hours to find my car. During the two hours I was given no explanation as where my car was. I was physically assaulted by one of the valet parking attendants. When they finally found my car after two hours they gave me no explanation. The name of the parking valets company is APV E parking. Due to the experience with the parking valets going back to X2O is not something I will be doing anytime soon.
I recommend this place to anyone looking to impress their date. We left satisfied and are looking forward to going back.
The bread was stale. hard as a rock. The waitress couldn't remember to bring silverware. The food was lukewarm at best. the Scallops were undercooked and bland. It was a bad experience and for the money, i would never recommend this to someone i liked.
The answer to that question is maybe. The food wasn’t hot at all & the service was just ok. It’s not a place that would be at the top of my list!
Everything was spectacular. Great Valentine's Day experience!!!
Not enough wait staff. Food excellent.
Food was very good, service excellent. The wait for the car at the end of the meal, 45 minutes, kind of ruined the experience. The first time I complained, saying I had been waiting 35 minutes, the hostess said, “oh, that’s terrible & we are not affiliated with the valet.” & offered no further assistance. They are parking cars for your restaurant at a $5 fee, not complimentary, so, yes, you are affiliated. The second time I complained after 45 minutes, thankfully a gentleman, manager maybe, came outside & helped me get my car.
Valentine’s Day price fixes. We had seafood crepes, tuna poke, duck “steak”,,chateaubriand, Belgian chocolate timbale and lava cake. All excellent.
Paid $5 Parking had a 5 minute way to drop off and over 30 minutes to pick up / so far.
Terrible. Food was over salted to the point of inedible. Overpriced. Would not go back.
Valet parking should be greatly improved or, have access to park yourself on premises.
Nothing (almost) infuriates me more than when the hostess tries to sit you at the worst table when the restaurant is virtually empty. I won’t come back as a result. It’s a really poor way to treat guests. The food was good, but not great, it could have been warmer both the coconut shrimp and the steak were warm and clearly not right out of the oven... The service was attentive, the ambience nice.
Very pleasant staff. Excellent food . Desert took forever costing 1 star.....
Nice meal. Exceeded my expectations. Beautiful view of the Manhattan skyline and the river. Thank you for an enjoyable evening.
Unbelievable atmosphere, delicious food, awesome vine, super romantic and best of all, an immense service!
Thank you for making our wedding anniversary and unforgettable one!!
The service as always was wonderful. The ambience suburb. I had my usual skate fish that I generally enjoy. It wasn’t as moist as what I’m accustomed to.
CONSISTENTLY EXCELLENT FOR YEARS!
Just went to X20 for Sunday brunch and it was such a wonderful experience. Truly excellent service and wonderful food. The view of the Hudson River is stunning. It's terrific to be in a restaurant with such a low noise level that you can easily hear the conversation of others at the table. We love this elegant dining room. We recommend the butternut squash bisque and miso-glazed king salmon; also the tempura of shrimp and asparagus followed by the roast New York sirloin. You can't go wrong with the chocolate dessert -- rich, luscious...totally decadent. Service is really top quality! This is a great place to meet friends and relax on a Sunday for brunch. For a romantic evening, dinner here is really magical.
First time going with my girlfriend for her birthday, we had Long Island Duck Breast with Togarashi, Very nice dish. Service was good, they wished my girlfriend a happy birthday with her name on a plate.
Good food super professional team. Everything was on point.
Great food and service with a beautiful view of the Hudson River. My wife and I tried the Halibut and Cod specials. Excellent!
Location, Food, Service: OUTSTANDING! A PERFECT night out.
70 th Birthday
Great food great service. Little bit of kerfuffel with parking, nothing too serious.
