X2O Xaviars on the Hudson is Peter X Kelly’s latest addition to the Xaviars Restaurant Group. It sits in the water on the only turn of the century Victorian pier still in use on the Hudson River. X2O’s Main Dining Salon's 25 foot vaulted ceiling and 3 walls of glass frame offers views of the George Washington and Tappan Zee Bridges, as well as sunsets over the Palisades. Guests encounter dishes incorporating classic French technique with Italian and Spanish influences, and Asian embellishments which create a wholly original cuisine unique to the Hudson Valley. The Dylan Lounge is a vibrant, up-tempo space with a sophisticated and playful bent that offers guests more dining options. It was beautiful, and the service was high level. Our food was good, but at times lacked full-flavor. Like my carpaccio needed salt and lime. But overall, a nice experience.

We have been wanting to try X20 for years- finally got here to celebrate my husband’s birthday! It was overall an excellent experience and a memorable meal. We shared the fresh tagliatelle with shrimp and the butternut squash bisque, the salmon and the short ribs - all were amazing and I would order them all again…. for dessert- a lovely assortment of ice creams and the best crème brûlée I have had since we were in Paris! The ambiance is terrific and the staff were amazing. The only con- we were disappointed to have to pay for parking, considering that this is not an inexpensive restaurant (although well worth the cost!).

We loved our meal at X20 last night! Wonderful atmosphere and very attentive service. Was a little slow but we preferred having time to talk with our friends. They expressed at the end they wanted to have us back and knew things were s little slow and do apologized without us not saying a thing , they comped our desserts! We are hoping they bring back their Christmas events this year! They haven’t done since before pandemic!! We will ho back soon for sure!!❤️

Hadn't been to X2O's brunch for a number of years, but it is almost as wonderful as ever. The food remains outstanding, and if one hadn't frequented the brunch as we use to do, one wouldn't know that the service has slightly deteriorated, and the breads are not nearly as wonderful as they used to be. In fact, the numerous bread types, and the constant circulation of waiters filled with those trays is probably the most notable difference (along with the prices, of course). Still, it is one of the most pleasurable ways to spend a Sunday, and Peter continues to do an excellent job.

Both of our appetizers were excellent, my wife’s shrimp entree was excellent. I ordered the steak, it was a prime piece of meat that was, unfortunately, cooked to a higher temperature than ordered. The yukon whipped potatoes were very salty. Desert was excellent.

The dining room is large, elegant and filled with white tablecloths on well-dispersed tables. Three sides have floor-to-ceiling windows with pretty views of the Hudson and Jersey palisades. The service was excellent - attentive, well-informed, polite and solicitous. All of the dishes were well-sauced and cooked to perfection. The duck breast was crisp and succulent. The short ribs were tender and bathed in a rich brown sauce. The pureed potatoes were creamy and delicious. Altogether, a delightful evening.

We frequent this place and the level of service has deteriorated significantly over the past several years. Really unfortunate. The venue itself is extraordinary, not so the dinning experience.

service fabulous. Ribeye steak was marinated in a "sweet' presentation--such a wonderful piece of meat clouded by sweet. See bass was also sweet. The creamed spinach, and Caesar salad - delicious. Au gratin potatoes serviced luke warm - lacking flavor. Chef offered us deserts when we mentioned our disappointment about the meet and fish. Nice gesture but we had issues with the "sweet" spicing. Atmosphere wonderful....but I think we prefer the dining experience at the bar better.

Our table was ready and the service was exceptional. Food was delicious but bread brought to table was stale. The sea bass was delicious but small. We each had different dishes ( duck, salmon, pork chop) and all were delicious! We would go back.

The staff is professional and caring. It is very difficult to find good food post pandemic, We have never had a mediocre meal at X2O. Thanks

We've been to X2O many times over the years (not recently) and chose it to celebrate our anniversary. Unfortunately, it did not live up to our expectations and we were disappointed. Food varied between good and very good, not outstanding. It seemed like the chef had changed. The tuna roll as an appetizer was excellent. The seafood crepe was good and full of seafood, but it was not the typical preparation that I loved. For entrees we had the cod and tiger shrimp, both very good. Waiters did not appear to be as knowledgeable as in the past, especially regarding the wines by the glass. I assume it was the head waiter who took our food order and he was very helpful in explaining specific dishes. Physical ambiance was same as past, but with the extremely casual attire (casual/jean shorts on some men) it was not the kind of ambiance for an anniversary celebration. Regarding next question about recommendation, I don't if last night was an off night or this is the new X2O. Needs to improve to old level in order to recommend it. At these prices, it has to be better.

There were 2 of us for the Prix Fixe lunch of $36.00 and I can positively say that this is by far the best meal had in a very long time!!! This was a varied and innovative menu. Our choices were arugla w/beet salad, chicken liver pate w/onion jam, entrees- cod with a delicious sauce, mashed and snow peas; duck leg confit, mushroom spinach risotto, pommes frites; desserts, berry bread pudding and Belgian chocolate tart. ALL DELICIOUS!!. Setting on the Hudson gorgeous! Very attentive staff! Kudos to All!

It's been a while since I had above and beyond service. I'm talking from every one of the staff members at x20. Incredible brunch. Bottomless mimosas kept getting refilled, appetizers were good, food was good, service was incredible. What more do you want? I'll definitely be stopping by here again ESPECIALLY for brunch.

We had high hopes for X2O given reviews we saw in the past, but were disappointed. First thing we noticed were dirty windows which took away from enjoying the beautiful sunset and the river views. Dishes were not very inspiring. Hamachi was not professionally cut and was buried under a pile of scallions. Chinese steamed dumplings tasted like they were reheated, with the sweet sauce drowning all the taste. Main dishes were served on a bed of bland steamed vegetables. My fish was poured over with an odd, oily sauce that did not help the taste at all. The redeeming part was the dessert course and friendly servers who were trying very hard. Disappointing, especially given high prices they charge.

The food, as usual that we ordered was well prepared and well presented. Some of the waiters seemed inexperienced, but luckily, there was an excellent oversight by some one who was more experienced and knowledgeable. Overall, as in the past, our dining experience was excellent!
