X2O Xaviars on the Hudson
Our service was fabulous and the meal was delicious! We were celebrating a birthday and weren’t rushed out which made it that much more enjoyable!
Restaurant was BEAUTIFUL!! Food was EXCELLENT!! can’t wait to go back!!
This place never disappoints. Service and food were excellent and our Maitre D, Luna was terrific as usual!
The whole evening was very enjoyable. Excellent service from the moment we arrived.
Party of seven and every one of us loved each of the dishes we ordered.
Never disappointed when we dine here.
An amazing eating experience. Far beyond my expectations.
Family brunch for 70th birthday wish ages 6 months to 70 years. Big round table near window. Access to balcony for pix. Friendly staff. Great service. Not rushed.
We were made to wait an hour after our reservation time; when they seated us, it was upstairs in what I believe was the party space, which was loud and boisterous, filled with big groups. Scuffed and dirty walls! Food was amazing though, and our waiter was kind.
Please add a burger and more affordable prices and add more variety and options to the menu.
We have been to X20 several times, but this recent experience is giving me second thoughts about returning.
I chose this restaurant for my birthday, since it is one of my favorite places for special occasions. Our reservations were for 7:30, and it was a Saturday, so I expected we might have a little wait. But not an hour, and certainly not with the way we were treated by the hostesses.
I am disabled, use a cane. They all saw me when I arrived, and when they finally came to get us from the bar, they also saw how difficult I found it wading through the crowd. But the table they had was upstairs, with NO elevator access. And they acted like it was my fault for being disabled, and could not do the stairs, not their lack of consideration. So I was kept waiting, again. And since the restaurant was so overbooked, there was no way I would be able to get a seat if I returned to the bar/sushi area again. Eventually, they brought a chair out to me to sit in the hallway, causing me further embarrassment.
If it wasn't a Saturday night, and we thought we could get into another restaurant, we would have left. When we were finally shown to a table, it was obviously an added table, because it was blocking the access to the prep area for the wait staff, not to mention diners coming and going. I gave up counting how many times I was bumped into after it went into double digits, despite pushing the table further away to avoid the constant bumping.
The wait staff was professional, and very apologetic for the wait we had, offering us wine. But we do not drink, and were using a Groupon, so there wasn't really anything they could offer other than not charging us for the coffee and espresso at the end of the meal. The food was good, although for me a bit too salty. I had asked our server to request the kitchen to not add salt to anything I ordered if it was being prepared fresh, but I wish they had offered to substitute sides they could have made without salt.
Excellent food and service! Reservation as for 7:30 got seated at 8:30. Restaurant was overbooked.
No better venue, with spectacular views both up and down the Hudson. attentive wait staff and well prepared food. The pork was outstanding as was the octopus.
Awesome as usual. Started off with a warm tuna roll from the sushi bar. Had the hanger steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. Added cream spinach and the mushroom risotto. Finished it with a chocolate soufflé and coffee. Oh, and a few glasses of wine
Wonderful views of the Hudson; classy interior that doesn't crowd you; large menu with prices that match the quality of the food. Great for large group or party.
Magnificent seevice, ambiance, and food. Lovely views of NYC at night. They even brought out a little dessert with candles for our anniversary. We loved the experience.
The service and the staff were wonderful! The food was so delicious with ample servings. More expensive than I typically go for, but it was a special occasion and the quality of the food and the awesome service so made the experience most positive. Only suggestion would be the upstairs dining room and it's ambiance....which was so so. Some of the dining chairs had stains on them, so I think they should be re-upholstered. We did, however, have an awesome view from our table. I would most definitely return.
On a separate note, the valet parking was unacceptable. The kids working were doing the best they could under the circumstances. However, one of our guests was inconvenienced as his keys were lost. I'm hoping he was able to get some sort of compensation from the valet company. Don't know if this has anything to do with X20, but I thought I should pass along my comments.
It was great food service was awesome would definitely go back again and tell family and friends about it. Loved the view
Fabulous food, gracious service, gorgeous views. What more is there to say.
Dinner with a view from almost every seat and beautifully prepared food that is expertly served. Wonderful evening all around for any special occasion.
Always have an excellent meal. The pre fix lunch need to be updated. Has been the same for a couple of years.
The food is always excellent but the menu for holiday meals varies little from year to year and is so limited that it gets boring. Desserts seem to be only thing that vary much.
Mothers day prix fixe nebu. Three course rather $$$ but I expected that. View is fantastic, but was underwhelmed by the food and service. Wife's salmon was not edible, son's pork overdone and my chicken was ok. Perhaps overwhelmed by the Mother's day crowd, but considering it's owned by a celebrity chef you'd think they would have risen to the occasion. No return planned.
Everything was awesome as usual. Had a wonderful Mother’s Day celebration!
The Chateaubriand was a gorgeous piece of meat. It could have been cooked a little longer (medium rare) and the crust was excessively overdone and charred. Maybe cooked at too low a temperature? Also would have benefited by the plate being hot. Potatoes were excellent, but small. Desert was excellent (sorry- chocolate cake ?) Overall very satisfactory, although a little pricey.
A Mother’s Day disaster. My wife’s entree was uneatable. She couldn’t even send it back because the waitress was MIA. They may be ok for other times but don’t go there for a busy over priced special occasion.
Diego and the rest of the team on the floor did a great job. We will definitely come back.
Staff very knowledgeable. Very detailed and engaged with guests. Food was perfect, very balanced flavors. The bleu cheese bread great. Scenic location.
The decor and view are wonderful. However, the food was not of the same quality. My steak was not soft of flavorful, but was spicy. The duck was fine, and the fish was fine. Thats all. The side dishes were too spicy. The food needed to be better to match the experience and prices.
First time visit. We were seated an an inner table unfortunately, but still had decent views of up and down the Hudson river. Service was really good from the moment we walked in and continued throughout. Waters refilled, different staff members checking in on you. Food wise, we enjoyed everything we ordered. Old Fashioned cocktail was mixed well and with a generous pour. Will definitely go back and try out different things on the menu. Thanks for an enjoyable evening.
Out-of this-world food and gorgeous views, plus the best bathroom of any restaurant ever.
Make your upstairs as inviting as your main level or at least ask customers which area they would prefer.
Wonderful restaurant with a great view! They were very kind to our toddler (well-behaved, but still a kid), and food was brought out quickly. I'd recommend for date night or a group outing, and definitely for special occasions.
Love this place. In addition to the outstanding food and service, the location on the Hudson River provides for amazing views of the Manhattan skyline and the Palisades across the river. Truly a great experience.
Disappointing! This place used to be different. Food was mediocre and uninspired. The place itself still has beautiful views but the room looks past its prime and in desperate need of renovation. Shabby, dirty carpet. Bathroom was a disgraceful mess. Not sure how soon we will be back....
Our experience at X2O, as usual, was outstanding in all ways; service, ambience, food, views!
We took advantage of an excellent fixed price luncheon. The food, cocktails, service, and view were wonderful. From NJ to the restuarant in Yonkers was the only minus. We have been to the 3 different Xavier's and have enjoyed Mr.Kellys restuarants.Surprised the Piermont Xavier's is closed.
From check in to the end of the meal it was a wonderful experience. Food was divine.
I had pork loin that was tough and dry. Others enjoyed their food, especially the fried chicken
The menu is always refreshing. The food is always delicious and appetizing to see. Just looking at it makes you hungry.
The staff is marvelous. They were well informed and able to answer any questions about the meal. They were very skilled at knowing when to approach the table and when to let us enjoy our food and the beautiful setting.
We were also fortunate enough to see Chef Peter Kelly.
Peter X. Kelly and his staff NEVER disappoint. From a warm welcome at reception to telling us it was “ a pleasure to see you again” at the end of the meal, X2O continues to deliver on every level. Beautiful ambience, sensational choices for all three courses and artistic presentation. Servers are all attentive, knowledgeable and oh so pleasant. Julian has everything under control and along with Luna, Diego, Brittany and Luz they treat us as if we were family members. We are fortunate to have such a culinary gem here in Westchester. Do not miss an opportunity to dine here.
