Delicious brunch, every dish we had was amazing and the food came out so quickly! We’ve been here for brunch and dinner and both are very different experiences but equally delicious! We’ll be back for Dim Sum next weekend! Thank you Wu Chow!
Had a great time Celebrating my wife's birthday with some great Authentic where Chinese food that is gluten free! The place was truly an amazing birthday suprise for my wife who has been craving authentic Chinese food thsgs gkuten free.
Great atomosphere- doesn't fell like your old school Chinese restaurant, it is hip, open and airy with fun tiki drinks. The food is delicious and I especially love it because almost all of it is Gluten Free and I usually can never find GF Chinese food. My non-GF guests, loved it just as well (it didn't deter from the taste). The only downside was we had a reservation and weren't sat until 20min later. Then it took our waitress another 10 minutes to even acknowledge us at our table. The food came out quickly though.
Outstanding experience! Alex was amazing and so accommodating! Thank you to the team! Also, excellent mock tails and vegan offerings
This was a farewell dinner for a friend leaving Austin. I had heard good things about Wu Chow, but it truly exceeded our highest expectations. Wonderful, attentive service. All the food was superb. We will be back.
This was our third time here (one dim sum and 2 dinner nights) we ordered two of the sesame beefs, a fried rice, and one twice cooked pork belly. We received the beef and rice about 10 minutes after ordering. The pork belly wasn’t brought out so I asked if they had it just to make sure they didn’t miss the order. She said “yeah we like to bring everything out periodically so you guys can start with the beef” we continued eating and about 35 minutes later we were done and the waitress comes back and says “should we cancel the pork belly?” It upset me that it took 35 minutes for them to want to bring out the pork. I asked if we could have it about 10 minutes into eating the beef and she said she would get back to me and she never did.. Plus their steamer is down so we couldn’t do any dumplings or potstickers...
Great food! Authentic flavors, each dish unique.
I am worried the glitz and glamour of Wu Chow is fading. I've always considered it the best Chinese food in Austin but am reconsidering my opinion after brunch on Mother's Day. Our server barely visited our table, the food took forever to come out despite the numerous empty tables and the overall ambiance was blah. The soup dumplings are always delicious but their light is dimmed when everything around them is just okay.
Service was just ok. Dumplings were meh. Other dishes were good. Eggplant was the best ever!
Best Chinese in Austin without a doubt, especially the dumplings/dim sum.
I went to Wu Chow for my birthday and it was fantastic! The dumplings are amazing and so are the cocktails.
A group of 7 of us sat outside. We put ordering in our server”s hands. We had one vegetarian in out group. From soup dumplings to green beans to squid to some yummy noodle dish, the experience was great with delicious food and outstanding service. Great.
So good! First timers and we will definitely return. The soup dumpings were very tasty as was the beef and chicken crispy noodles. We also enjoyed our waitress who gave great recommendations and was very attentive. Thank you!
Wu Chow is one of my favorite restaurants in Austin. The food and the staff are absolutely incredible.
Always a great experience! Went for my husband's birthday and didn't disappoint!
Wyn was a great server!!!
Thank you so much -- great to hear -- we hope to see you again soon!
Great food. Sunday brunch options were amazing. Will visit again.
Thank you so much UpasanaG -- we hope to see you again soon!
Our favorite brunch/dim sum place in Austin. We only go for sunday brunch dim sum so I can't speak for other offerings, but their dim sum is quite traditional with some creative deviations. Also, their chrysanthemum mimosas are amazing!!
Thank you so much WillS -- we hope to see you again soon!
Best Chinese food in Austin that we've had yet! Straight ahead food but done very, very well. Fresh ingredients and great cooking is always a winning combination. Fairly large menu that we both want to explore with some return visits. The atmosphere was a bit young and hip for us but the food was well worth it. We also ordered an excellent cocktail and the service was at tentative and speedy.
This was my second time here in a week lol.... the only complaint was that the bugs were pretty bad outside. One landed in our food so we couldn’t eat it anymore. One also landed in our water. Not the restaurants fault but still upsetting. Food and service was otherwise amazing though.
Thank you so much JacobR -- hope to see you again soon!
The only “issues” I had are that it was VERY loud inside, also, I could’ve misread the website but I didn’t notice Sunday's were only Dim Sum. So didn’t get to try the main entrees. But the food was great anyways! Going back to try the dinner menu.
Thank you JaconR -- yes, you are correct Sunday's are for our Dim Sum Brunch only -- we hope to see you again soon!
Cool little spot with great food.
Thank you so much!
The food was fantastic. Get the soup dumplings and the honey walnut shrimp. Service was a little slow but it was a Saturday night!
Thank you so much Kimberly -- we hope to see you again soon!
Took a while to be seated. Service was good. Had one dish - had to return due to flank beef being very tough and could not chew. Still really enjoy this place and the food otherwise. Good value for quality food and ingredients.
Thank you so much -- we hope to see you again soon !
Very good food and drink options. Recommend the spicy cabbage dish!
Thank you so much HenryZ -- yes love the cabbage dish! We hope to see you again soon!
Best Chinese food in Austin. The local and fresh theme really plays out in the flavors of the dishes. Best fried rice I've ever had and it was the third best dish on the table!
Thank you so much -- we truly appreciate your kind words and hope to see you again soon!
My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and decided on Wu Chow. We absolutely love the food there, especially the soup dumplings! The evening was perfect, the service was attentive and we enjoyed our experience there—yet again.
Thank you so much Bear! Happy Anniversary! We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed it and hope to see you again soon!
everything was great, especially the Lion's head meatball, except the oolong tea, it became extremely strong after 30 minutes also.
Thank you so much Anne -- we hope to see you again soon!
Still hands down my favorite. Teaching my son to drive in the city and used Wu Chow as the goal destination. Also hands down his favorite spot! He had the Egg Cream Bun for the first time. Life. Changer. As always thank y’all for the amazing food/experience/service.
Thank you so much -- what a fun trip with your son, glad to hear we made the rounds! Hope to see you again soon and happy driving!
Food was outstanding and service was great, highly recommended!
Thank you so much -- it truly means a lot to our team! We hope to see you back soon!
Great authentic Chinese food with quality ingredients.
Thank you so much -- we truly appreciate it!
This is my second time here and it is so delicious. Service has been consistently slow the last two items but they are always packed and it is worth it. Will make this a regular stop when I am in town.
Thank you LorenS! We truly appreciate it and hope to see you back soon!
Outdoor seating was uncomfortably loud, partly from traffic and mostly from boisterous patrons.
Thank you so much BillinAustin -- outdoor dining downtown on a patio can be loud at times especially on a weekend. Thank you for supporting local and we do hope to see you again soon!
Loved it! Definitely would go back!
Thank you so much -- we hope you visit us again soon!
Everything was top notch! Our server was attentive, the food tasted great and came out quickly! Enjoyed sharing all the food. We had a wonderful time with no complaints. We will definitely be going back to Wu Chow again. Highly recommended!!
Thank you so much -- it truly means a lot to us! We hope to see you again soon!
Been waiting a while to eat here, the food was very tasty, the tangerine beef I had was a little tough but overall all the dishes I tried were great!
Thankyou TylerH -- we hope to see you again soon. We appreciate you supporting local!
I love this place! Awesome cocktail list and great food. Soup dumplings are a must.
Thankyou so much MichelleM -- it means a lot to us and we do hope to see you again soon! Thankyou for supporting local!
