WP24 by Wolfgang Puck Ratings and Reviews
Booked here for my bday dinner....View is amazing on the 24th floor looking at the city at night...setting is real nice...Service however was real poor as the waitress seemed to have an attitude all night . I get better service at chik-fila...food was whatever nothing special
We were treated very well from the beginning. My son is allergic to peanuts and they had an alternative non-peanut oil menu which is quite unusual for restaurants. I guess they have to as most of the dishes are cooked with peanut oil. The servings were generous, especially the vegetable dishes. The lobster dish was overpriced, half Peking duck is good enough for three. We were treated with a chiffon cake for our anniversary!
Amazing view! The Christmas decor complemented view.
We were staying at JW Marriott LA Live and read about the nextdoor restaurant Wolfgang Pack. We really had a special time here. The food was outstanding, the service was friendly formal and the atmosphere was luxurious. It was a bit pricy but we went to Stef and Nick the following night and we were disappointed. It was more expensive and it lacked the special atmosphere Wolgang Pack had. We definitely recommend this place, especially if you have a special occasion to celebrate.
This restaurant has great atomsphere for a fine dining experience. Our waiter was very welcoming and honest about our food choices. He was attentive and made sure to make this a great experience. The food choices were outstanding from vegan to vegetarian to fish to beef choices. Everybody enjoyed their meals and the soufflé for the dessert was the perfect way to the end the meal. We will be back.
The food was good but menu seemed limited for a Wolfgang Puck restaurant. Luckily you can also order off the Nest menu if you like what they were serving in the lounge. Service was great and view is amazing. Don't be fooled by the fact that it is in a Ritz Carlton, you really dont get much of Ritz experience.
Had very high expectations for this restaurant. SPAGO'S, CHINOIS on MAIN, & CUT, are all very good. WP24, not so much. Maybe Chinese/Asian food is not his forte or maybe we ordered the wrong items?
The Crystal Chive dumpling were excellent, as was the Shrimp Toast. OK we are starting off very well. Then the Crispy Skin Suckling Pig came. Reminded me of Almond Pressed Duck. Just O.K., although my wife liked it.
Then the Roasted Peking Duck came. Now I love Peking Duck & I was drooling this with anticipation. It was not good at all. Way too greasy & fatty. How is it that Chinese restaurants can make this at half the price & twice the flavor & eliminate most of the Fat?
Then the Kicker. While eating the Duck, my wife spits out a Blonde hair(we're Asian). That did it for her appetite. She stopped eating right then & there. Didn't stop me but I gotta admit it was kinda gross.
The Stir Fried Vegetables were just OK, but the Cantonese Fried Rice was just Salty without flavor.
Finally the desserts we ordered did not impress. The Banana souffle was mediocre, while the Passion Fruit & Pear had the densest Angel food cake I've ever eaten.
Pity, with the dearth of high end restaurants in the LA area, one would think that they would be driven to serve excellent memorable meals.
It is a beautiful restaurant, with great views. Service was excellent. We just won't be back for the food.
The ambiance and interior of restaurant was very sophisticated & modern yet Asian feel to it. The night view of DTLA from the 24th floor was just beautiful & a~’mazing. Meal was delightful & not greasy at all. I thought the prices are not crazy here either, they are reasonable for the high-end Asian Cuisine - you will not be disappointed! WP24 is at Ritz Hotel & it’s Celebrity Chef Wolfgang Puck’s WP24. I expected the higher bill end of our meal but came out to be only around $80/person for 3 ppl. I would definitely come back with friends and family again. Had a great time!
View and ambiance are fabulous. However, the cuisine is definitely sub par for a Wolfgang Puck restaurant considering the price. Lobster spring rolls and tiny dumplings were tasty. The short ribs and hong kong noodles tasted like they dropped the salt shaker in it. We were celebrating my birthday (and a surprise proposal!), so they gave us champagne and dessert on the house which was enjoyable. All in all, we will probably not return to WP24 and explore a new restaurant in DTLA when we'd like a nice meal with a great view.
I’ve been here several times and this was by far the worst service I’ve encountered. We waited over an hour for our food and it arrived cold. It clearly sat for some time before we were served. The view is great but the kitchen did not have it together on this visit. Disappointed
