WP24 by Wolfgang Puck Ratings and Reviews
Went here for a birthday. Very nice view of downtown with low lighting. If you want full lighting with view request reservation at Nest instead. Both looked awesome!!! Steak and the Chicken were great and Brussel sprouts and 3 treasure fried rice was to die for. I would Enjoy a special occasion here again.
Been there several times. Seems like it takes a little step down in quality each time. It's still good, and the view is fabulous, but I'll think twice before returning. Service, which is usually top notch, was ordinary. Even though I told them about a nut allergy when confirming the reservation and they took pains during the meal to make sure I ordered things that wouldn't contain them, the two desserts came just brimming with nuts (there was no mention of nuts in the dessert dishes on the menu). They didn't charge us for the desserts, but it was just the capstone on a not-very-good dining experience. I hope they pull it together over there, because it's a fun place to bring people from out of town.
I had a great experience. We celebrated my boyfriend's birthday. It was a beautiful and romantic atmosphere. The food was really good. We shared the beef dumplings for a starter. They were cooked perfectly. For entrees we had the black cos and short rib. Both were very flavorful and extremely tender. We were given complimentary items from the chef for appetizer and dessert. The only complaint is that I wish our server was a little more attentive in refilling our drinks. Other than that she was very sweet and made great food recommendations. It was a wonderful experience.
I brought my wife Tammie to WP24 for her birthday. We have eaten at other Wolfgang Puck restaurants before and really enjoyed, and WP24 really was wonderful and continued the tradition. The drinks are priced a little on the high side, but the food was delicious. My wife ordered the Blackened Cod, which melts in your mouth. I Highly recommend this dish! I had the crispy chicken, which was also very good, but, did not measure up to the Cod. But, was very good. Desserts were delicious, oh, and you have to have a cup of their coffee. During the entire time we were enjoying the food and conversation, we enjoyed the wonderful view the restaurant offers and also enjoyed how the ambience of the restaurant.
Such a great view and delicious food!!! The cauliflower and Brussels sprouts are a to die for appetizer and the scallops where so tasteful! Service was okay. I am in the food and beverage business but for the price you pay and the amazing view you, plus the fact it is a wolf gang puck brand you would expect amazing service unfortunately we didn’t receive that. I would return for the food but not the service.
TOO NOISY!!! Like a European fast food restaurant. There was a table next to us From Pakistan and the tree gents from that table were shouting all the time,we and the manager told them to be quiet then they want to pay our bill;it is like a joke at the end I told everything to the hostess who quided to us; the answer is "It is LA people's style"
Went for our anniversary and the view and the food did not disappoint. We ordered a lot of appetizers and everything came out fast and hot. Vanessa, our waitress, knew we needed to get to a show, and she was AMAZING. The prawn toast was delicious, and the dim sum platter was quite good (great scallops). My wife had the sake flight, and each of the three options was satisfying. A great night at WP24/Nest. The prices aren't cheap, but you are paying for the view, and it's worth it.
WP24 is one of our favorites. The Japanese black cod is excellent. We enjoyed the side dish of peas and mushrooms. The shrimp dumplings - you can never go wrong with those! Our least favorite item and one we wouldn't order again is the eggplant sidedish - presentation was ugly large chunks of mushy, over cooked eggplant. Ugly inelegant presentation and not good taste/texture. We enjoyed a bottle of Patz & Hall chardonnay and then the banana souffle for dessert.
It was a very slow night at the restaurant. Possibly only four tables in the dining room when we arrived for the last reservation at 8pm. The service was great and the food was good, overall. For the price point, it definitely wasn't anything memorable or fantasy worthy. The view of LA from there was gorgeous though.
We went for a wedding anniversary. I wanted a view and good food and romantic atmosphere. Yes, the food is very good. Especially the appetizer/salad with king crab and the Japanese cod which melts in the mouth. The curry chicken not so great - dry.
The view is mediocre. Just a bunch of boring buildings. It faces away from the sunset.
It is expensive. We spent in excess of $100 each and I just don't feel that it was worth it.
We were celebrating our 33rd Wedding Anniversary and our experience started long before we arrived. I received a attendance verification call from Kareem at the Service Desk. He phoned me at 1:10pm and my reservation was at 8:30pm. First great sign of excellent Customer Service. Kareem asked what the occasion was and he ensured we had a table with a a view and an anniversary cake at the end of the meal at no charge. Quite a surprise.
Our Server - Emmanuel made several great recommendations for the evening meal including the Angry 2lb Lobster! Outstanding!
