What Insiders Are Saying
Formal Chinese food with a spectacular view.
WP24 always has good food with an amazing view of DTLA. The price is worth it. The drinks are also delicious. I recomend the lychee sake-tini.
My second time here and it never disappoints! Love the food and the service. It was a perfect date night!
We were celebrating two birthdays while in LA for a couple of days on our way back to NZ - the restaurant in every way was outstanding - would defnietly go there again if we were in LA. Our waitress was exceptional!!
Great views of downtown. Hamachi and beef dumplings were tasty, ordered 3 of the beef dumplings. Spicy tuna roll good.
Great food - great service - they accommodated us early- nice table with a view over downtown
It was a calm NYE experience. The prefixed menu was ok but I would return to try their regular menu. The service wasn’t anything to brag about. The waitress didn’t describe anything in relation to the part of the courses served....the place itself was nice overall.
Excellent food and service. Took my wife that we are having problems and she loved it and the food.
An absolute must before a LA Kings game!! The menu is outstanding. As season ticket holders who have dinner before the game this establishment is exceptional. Hats off to the chef....
With the quantity of choices of downtown restaurants WP24 is an easy choice if you want a pregame meal.
The service is relatively fast making it easy to get to the game. We had the tenderloin, lobster spring rolls and a seafood fried rice, all were excellent, seasoned well and the staff was quick and attentive. Definitely a great stop before a game or just a great place to eat and enjoy the great city views.
Enjoy the view of downtown LA and taste the wonderful options of wp24 kitchen has to offer. The staff take extra care of making the best in every Sunday brunch stations. Imagine a majority of of deliciousness made to order: lucious dim sum; succulent prime rib or roasted duck; eggs bennedict with blue crab or omelette style; fresh sushi rolls, sneak in a waffle station on top of a dessert bar and you can cover the sin of gluttony in the afternoon.
Very disappointing that the style and ambiance of the place has changed. Too bright and it obscured the view, which was a main reason to visit.
The food was very mediocre with the only stand out dish being the whole duck.
The restrooms needing attending. With the women’s needing soap and the men’s has no paper towels.
This isn’t what we expected from a 5 star restaurant. We won’t be recommending it.
The service was poor
Could have to do with mandatory 18% service for party of 6.
Overall a pleasant experience. Great views of the city and it had a festive Christmas atmosphere. The food was a hit and miss. And the presentation/platings could have been better. Standouts were the lobster rolls and the braised beef( so tender). We had several courses so timing towards the middle of the evening slowed and at one point stopped.
Me and my friend went here for his birthday. Very pretty view and great food! Try the Maine lobster spring rolls.
Amazing food, drinks, and view of DTLA. Great spot for a special occasion or fancy business dinner.
We had reservations for four at seven. However, I overestimated the traffic from my home to restaurant and arrived at 5:30. I knew the restaurant was going to be busy, but I asked to see if they were going to be able to accommodate my family and I by six. They were! The atmosphere was nice. The server was attentive. The food was delicious! In fact, the rack of lamb my son ordered had a lot of meat in it, which was a big plus! Everything was prepared very well, but my wife couldn’t stop raving about the lobster egg rolls! I couldn’t try it, because I’m allergic to crustaceans. However, they did have a seafood allergy menu for me, which was a plus. The good thing is that the menu selection wasn’t limited at all. Overall, my family and I had a wonderful time! Plus, we were there to celebrate my wife’s birthday! They even offered us free dessert! Afterwards, we were able to walk around for a bit, because everything was there: the ice rink, Staples Center, etc.
I didn’t care for the taste of the food
The view was great but the food was nothing special and the price was quite high. We went only because it was close to Staples Center and my wife wanted Chinese food. We were very disappointed,
Great dinner. I had the whole sea bass, which was delicious. My wife had the Jidori chicken, which was a bit under seasoned, but otherwise well prepared. Service was excellent. I would go again without question.
The view from WP24 is awesome. Very romantic. Please ask for the vegan/vegetarian menu if you want that. We really liked the Impossible meat dumplings, probably not available anywhere else. I did wish the vegetarian menu wasn't hidden though, those dishes should be on the main menu. Great service. A little more expensive than the quality of the food (if you are a foodie), but you are paying for ambience.
It was my moms birthday. She had brought a very expensive bottle of wine and someone stole it. The restaurant bought a new bottle for us. Definitely coming back
This place is a keeper. Food is fantastic and you can’t beat the view. I come here whenever I’m downtown LA.
Amazing atmosphere! Great food ! View like you are on top of the world !!!!
And again Foods tastes amazing touches all your taste buds w spicy and non spicy flavors !!
Great date place ❤️
Great service and the food was excellent. Try the Peking Duck!
I gave them a headsup through OpenTable Notes that I had just proposed to my girlfriend and they treated us magically! Thank you to all the staff members and Chefs for the complimentary app and dessert. We were soooo Full from delicious food! Perfect for Date night, try to request for the Nest Lounge as there are nice views of Downtown area. Potato croquette in Curry sauce is unique, Shrimp toast was TASTY, Half order of Pekin Duck was best I ever had, and my fiance enjoyed her crunchy pif along with Three treasures fried rice..unique and tasty options..highly recommended!
Arlo the chef was amazing! Lauren the manager and our server Heather was also amazing. They provide a special experience for me and now my fiancé. The food was great and very delicious. Hands down, the best service I ever had. Thank you so much for everything!
Great service, beautiful, clean with great food. Ambience is great, beautiful decorum. We received our food fresh and in a timely manner.
Got to meet Mr Wolfgang Puck!! So awesome!! And food was great! It was a great anniversary dinner!!
Amazing view at the top of the Ritz-Carlton. Decent prices considering it’s in a Ritz. And the best part of this trip was that Wolfgang Puck himself was at the restaurant greeting diners, so we got to chat with him for a few minutes.
Another great dining experience and everything was delish !!
I went to WP24 back when it first opened and that was awesome! I went back Friday night and what a mess. Some of the appetizers were still great but the main dishes tasted like banquet food that was prepared earlier. Gone are items like the angry lobster. Also what’s up with the sushi? That’s not Chinese. Seems more like a money grab. The service was ok. Plates were not cleared without asking. Serving utensils needed to be requested. Over all WP24 is totally not worth the money and management needs to find a new chef to turn this around ASAP. Just look at their yelp profile (3 star)
Our waitress was wonderful and very educated about alcoholic beverages and dining options. Overall great dining experience and wonderful scenery. We were late for our reservation and the staff was very accommodating.
Lorenzo was a great server! We enjoyed his service and attentiveness with us. This was our first time dining at this restaurant and he made it very memorable. We had a wonderful front seat view of the city view.
The bartender that night was also great at making a Manhattan. We do not recall his name but he was very helpful.
Food was amazing, awesome views. A little expensive
Beautiful view average food. Very disappointed. Looking forward to trying a Wolfgang Puck restaurant and it was average at best Asian food.
Great service and support for birthday party of 10 people. Thank you.
We had a reservation through OpenTable and Notified the restaurant in advance about a gluten-free Diner and the need to make it to an 8 p.m. show. It Took us 15 minutes to be seated and get a drink. A Gluten free menu was brought to the table upon request but the meal prepared, a fried whole fish listed on the gluten-free menu , glutenized my wife who's felt lousy for two days. Called the restaurant they said they would investigate and get back with us, 2 Days Later has not heard back. Plus $49 for valet parking you would have thought our waiter would have asked if we needed validation.
Stunning views from the dining room. It is pretty expensive but definitely worth it for a special occasion . Nice wait staff and they allow one to have a leisurely meal, not rushing to turn the table. Valet parking on the Georgia St entrance is $10 with validation for 2 hours.
Was really looking forward to a fantastic evening to celebrate our Anniversary, was seated in a timely manner and greeted by Tanya our server, we had asked our server for recommendations for Sake since we were going to order something to share, I asked Tanya about the different types that we were looking at ($25-$45) range and she said the "snow" one would be the best, I agreed and when the bill came she had charged us for a bottle of the $95.00 Sake, when asked about this the Manager said we do not have anything like you requested and brought out a menu with 9 pages and we only saw one that with 3 pages, kind of funny but we were done at this point and time, bait and switch????
We had order the dumpling as a appetizer but she forgot and said "of you want me to order that after 20 minutes and once we ate that we ordered her recommendation "black cod" was very tasty, but the Sake situation left a back taste in my mouth and pretty much ruined the evening, THANKS!
