Awesome view, great service. Pancakes and bacon were amazing
Just a wonderful place!!!! Great menu, excellent service and predictably awesome view! Took my sweetheart for a very special evening Was spot on!! Thank you!!
Good food. Great view.
Nice but could be better. The location is wonderful and the customer service is great.
I booked this restaurant through open table via Google Maps, which said the restaurant closed at 11p.
We show up at 9:30p for our reservation and they tell us the kitchen closes at 9p, only bar food is available.
The people were rude, just an overall terrible experience.
I was on vacation with my wife and two daughters.
We ended up eating a terrible meal.
Your technology failed.
Love the local beach scene. The grilled salmon with macaroni and cheese truffle is to die for. The drinks are great. You got to start out with a nut crusted Brie!! The $7 valet is well worth the investment. Happy hour at has awesome Seafood tacos. Management and servers are very friendly.
Great food, Beautiful view and friendly service!
Apparently you don’t get happy hour if you book a table? Would be nice if you are told before arrivibg
Good food great service
Noisey but to see the sun go down with great food in front of us, it was great. Our favorite, the Brie appetizer with extra bread, Margaritas, the entrees were perfect.
Fabulous and we will go back ! Food and ocean views great !
Awesome service and great meal
Food is always good here.
Noise level depends on the size of the crowd.
Came again for dinner. Service was still amazing but noise level for dinner is very loud.
Food was amazing. We enjoyed the calamari and the shrimp risotto cakes. Server was not get friendly and didn't seem to care about us but it didn't ruin our delicious meal.
Food was excellent but Our server was not very attentive.
Went their specifically for the Prime Rib. The reservation was for a Saturday night at 7:30 PM. The waiter took our order and then after the appetizer informs our table that they ran out of Prime Rib. So, we ordered the filet mignon instead. The waiter messed up our sides for the order and the steaks were tiny as well as inconsistent in size. We won't be going back.
This restaurant is set right on the beach. Great food and service. It's a gem. Definitely worth trying. The lobster bisque is amazing.
Food is great. The eye candy in the patio is awesome. Except for the sun setting in my eyes, it was awesome
A really nice dinner. The menu skews more to seafood but the pasta and meat options are enough to satisfy everyone. Our server, Julianne, was FANTASTIC a great balance of professionalism and friendliness, she checked in several times to make sure all was well, more than the perfunctory "how is everything" and she was very helpful in describing and recommending dishes, all of which were delicious. The wine list is also terrific with a good selection of half bottles.
The only downside is that a family with two young children were seated next to us and one of the children was behaving badly. When the restaurant then sat another family with 2 children in a stroller next to us we were worried but fortunately they were well behaved and the parents were attentive (not so much at the other table.) Obviously it is hard for the restaurant but still it had a negative impact on our experience.
Good thank you
Our first time there... Very good food and service.
Gorgeous view. Very good food. Enjoyable dining experience.
Our server Britney was excellent. It is not a very upscale place and the food was decent with big portions. There was a bad smell when initially entering. Ok for a quick, low key casual dinner
Food was outstanding. Service was great and window seat on patio spectacular
We had reservations at 9:30pm. We arrived about half hour early. We walked across the street from Catamaran Resort where we are currently staying. Since the place was not packed at all, we were able to get seated right away. After looking at the menu front and back, our waitress came by and took our order. I ordered a Russian Mule beverage. Very good balance of rum. For appetizers, we ordered the crab cakes. For the entree, I ordered the Mediterranean salmon with a lobster bisque to start. The food overall was 5/5 stars. As for the service, our waitress was attentive from the time we ordered to the time they handed our main entrees. Towards the end of our meal, she was not as attentive as I would like. My wife and I were looking at our phones towards the end until she finally came by and we asked for the check. We did not get dessert since we ordered so much food. We look forward to coming back here.
We always love coming here, but this time the food was even more exceptional! My dad and his wife were in town visiting and we couldn't stop raving about the food, atmosphere and killer views! And the waitress was really great with my 2 1/2 year old daughter.
Service impeccable et cuisine excellente, choix de viande, poissons, crustacé. Gardez une place pour le dessert.
Celebrating a birthday - food was excellent. I had the trio of shrimp, salmon, and scallops. The lobster bisque was amazing. We ate outside next to beach, so that speaks for itself! The waiter was attentive. Valet parking is very reasonable and worth avoiding the hassle of beach area parking.
No complaints at all!
Our server had no personality and the food wasn't anything special. You're overpaying for the location. By far, the least favorite restaurant we visited during our week-long vacation to Pacific Beach/San Diego.
We were in Pacific Beach with my company. We eat at WF 4 times, it was so good. Their lobster bisque is outstanding (not too much of a sherry taste) and the lobster tacos (lunch and bar menu) are to die for. I had fish and chips, calamari, filet and scallops and potato crusted sea bass. My wife had the trio (salmon, shrimp and scallops), prime rib and the lobster tacos for lunch. The service is a bit laid back, but you are right on the beach. With this beautiful view it doesn't matter if the service is a bit slow :-)
Ive loved World Famous for years, but something has definitely changed!!! It's gone down hill IMHO Haven't been here to dinner for a couple years.
We were Headed out to a concert so I made an early reservation for 5 o'clock. We checked in a few minutes early but it took them at least 15 mins to get us seated. I think it was a bussing issue clearing dirty tables cuz there were plenty of empty tables.
The servers were great... but the food overall a big disappointment. The beloved lobster bisque which I rave about was luke warm and thinner than in the past , however, it did have nice size pieces of lobster in the bottom. It tasted okay, tho from past experience I expected way better!
The Cesar salad wasn't what it used to be either! Very ordinary and not special at all. Needed fresher, more flavorful dressing- or maybe more of it.
The warm spinach salad was fabulous on another note! :)
The filet and lobster - steak had a sauce that I should have been warned about! Ruined the underdone very rare meat. The prime rib seemed it came from under a heat lamp. It was very ordinary and on the thinner side. The brussels that came as a side were dried out and I've had much better. ( the filet was suppose to be served with asparagus but it wasn't ) the twin lobster tails were small but nothing to complain about or rave about.
Bacon scallops were huge! My mom had them and seemed to like them.
Best part about the meal was the awesome bread and butter!!! Always a silver lining to every cloud. My cucumber spritzer was yummy too.
Not sure what happened. I felt as if I was dining at Chilies or Applebees.
Amazing seafood, our favorite restaurant in San Diego!
Service, food and view! were all terrific. Delivery of food timely.
Our server was nice and attentive, but not knowledgeable about cocktails, wine or food. The snapper was terrible: very small sliver of fish, overcooked and the bloodline wasn't cut out--it may have been the worst fish I've ever had. The bass was overcooked as well. We were extremely disappointed.
Our 6pm reservation was honored immediately & we were seated at an awesome table on the patio with an excellent view of the beach. The food was delicious although the prices were quite a bit higher than the ones listed on the menu shown on Open Table. Also, we were disappointed that we were not allowed to take advantage of the Happy Hour appetizer specials from our table on the patio -- our server told us those were only available when ordered in the bar.
Being a local I can say that this restaurant represents everything a meal at the beach should be. It's right next to the ocean (once I even saw dolphins while I was having breakfast) and the food is delicious and healthy.
We went for my birthday and had incredible service. The food was delicious and the evening was perfect! Excellent restaurant!
Drinks were great. Clam chowder was delicious, steak was ok, sea bass was under-seasoned and ahi was covered in chili salt.
