Shawn was our waiter he was excellent, we had the Prime Rib and Black & Bleu Pasta and a very nice trio desert with cheese cake, creme brulee, and chocolate ganache cake. It was a fantastic dinner, will be back!
Even though the did not find my reservation or recognize my name, the accommodated us and we had great service and food. A night to remember, especially when after writing Open Table that the restaurant could not find my reservation, I was notified I was a 'No Show'. No worries, its all good
Good service. Staff was very patient I'm traveling with 5 and 7 year old unadventurous eaters. Menu is varied enough for different diners. Located inside the Embassy Suite hotel si in convenient
Felt the quality of the steak was lower than the price charged.
The staff were very nice! The rib eye steak was excellent!!
Our server was absoluley fantastic!
Smiling the whole time and we had a group of 17. He made our little family reunion so much more pleasant .
The other staff who assisted were also efficient and kind .
The food was good and we meet in this location at least once a year as family flys in town!
Our Father's Day evening dinner was fine, EXCEPT for the overdone $35.00 Rib Eye steak. 1/2 of the steak was just fine, ordered medium rare, but the other end was approaching well done. I had expected an offer of a reduced price from the waitress, but that was not forthcoming. Unfortunately, my wife picked up the check, or my displeasure would have been reflected in the size of the tip. We dine at Woolley's occasionally, especially for special occasions, and expect a better experience.
Ok, nothing special
We were celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary and had called to tell them and emailed. The restaurant didn't say or do anything until we mentioned. There were only four tables and the rest of the tables were empty. Food was pretty bland and not worth the money. Waiter was fair. Overall, I would not recommend.
Mother's Day brunch was excellent! There was a great variety of food - and it was all very good!
This location is perfect for Mother's Day Brunch. This was our second time in 8 years at the Mothers Day Brunch Buffet. Both times we were more than pleased. There was plenty of food and high value food like oysters in the half shell, prime rib, and smoked salmon to name a few. The food looked fresh, appetizing and always full.
Their Brunch area is in an arboretum, so it has all the aesthetics of being on an outdoor patio without the blasting sun, wind or bugs. We were not rushed at all, we were there for almost 2.5 hrs. Plus our coffee and mimosas were never empty.
We have been to a number of brunches, including Thanksgiving and Easter. This one was for Mothers Day. I thought that it would of been nice for each mother get a rose, or at least a little more pampered. I thougot the price was high for the brunch. Thought the selection at Thanksgiving was better. Maybe add a Bloody Mary Bar too?
Excellent holiday brunch, with many choices, great service especially from Rob.
Atmosphere was horrible, food average, service was non-existent!!
The staff went out of their way to accommodate a request by me to pay for my parents anniversary dinner remotely. The review is from my parents glowing report. The staff portion of the review is from me. Thanks for taking care of a last minite request!
I think it would be incredibly difficult to maintain a high quality restaurant in a busy hotel. I'm sure they get it right many times but on our occasion they just didn't put it together. Service was a little slow as the waitress was probably over assigned by the hostess, kitchen got my dates steak right, mine was just over done from what I ordered, the potatoes were spot on though. Like I said, it has to be difficult and they were close but they just didn't close the deal.
We go there for the rare but always worth it buffets at least once a year. Never, ever disappoints! Love it!
A wonderful Easter brunch at Woolley's. The brunch fare was way above average and Laura, our wait person, was absolutely excellent. She kept the mimosas full throughout the brunch. Highly recommend.
I thought it was great I went for my birthday and it was just the right atmosphere. That waiter that served me didn't seem to know all about the different types and cuts of meat but that's ok everything was smooth and he took cared of us very nicely.
We've been here several times. Service is typically on the slower side, but we keep coming back for the food. This time, however, it was not so good. We were a party of 6. 4 of us ordered steak and 2 of them came out dry as a bone and shriveled. I couldn't believe they served it! Our service seemed exceptionally slow this time as well. We waited close to 10 minutes once seated to even have our drink order taken, and the wait for our food was forever. I'm not sure I'll return. I was super disappointed as we had brought out of town guests and it was our suggested place.
Food was not great I'd at all.
The restaurant is in an open atrium that is pretty loud especially when it's happy hour in the hotel bar. The food was ok. Our split steak was over charred and there was no way it was the advertised 16ounces. The side of Brussel sprouts were raw to the point where I sent them back for more cooking. Unfortunately they came back still under done and we couldn't eat them. The Caesar salad was awesome with great taste and the best croutons! The scallop potatoes were wonder also!! Highly recommend them! Wine was pricey for their cheapest red but we got a brand we lived. Since I didn't have my veggies a Creme brûlée was a must! That was excellent!! So again the Food was ok overall but well overpriced. Not sure we'd go back for the value of a split meal being over $100. The lovely waitress gave us great service and even credited us for the Brussel Sprouts but we were still close to $100. If the main part of the meal was better it may have saved the meal but with just ok protein and raw veggies we were left slightly disappointed.
The corned beef and cabbage was great.
The location, across the street from the National Cemetary, is what prompted our family to choose Wooleys for a luncheon after the Cemetary Service. The open, fresh with plants environment is cheerful and uplifting. The service is very slow -- took a long time to get food -- but we weren't in a hurry so that was OK.
Very good food and service. Unique seating and a fun atmosphere.
Very bad experience all around. From what I've read, its really good or really bad. Guess the risk is up to you. I won't be going back ever nor will I offer Embassy Suites any business going forward based on this experience. At least have a chef that knows how to cook...C'Mon man.
Pleasantly surprised! Located in the Embassy Suites MOA, we booked on Saturday night and not only received an excellent meal, but pleasant, professional service. My husband deemed his filet one of the best he's ever had, and my special was excellent: sirloin, polenta and vegetables. Manager checked in on all the diners, which is appreciated. Cocktail prices very reasonable, and meal prices on par or less than most other steakhouses in the area. Locals, don't discount Wooley's because it's in a hotel!
Our food was great! The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. We will definitely go back!
French onion beef tips appetizer was amazing and it was the first time in a long time where everything start to finish was great! Seating is within the hotels atrium so it's not your typical dining environment but it doesn't take away from the experience. Will definitely be back.
We went to Woolley's for our 34th wedding anniversary and everything was perfect! Not only was our table ready, but the flowers my husband ordered were already there and everyone who greeted us wished us "happy anniversary". It was a great start to what was a perfect evening - a wonderful bottle of wine, great food with superb service. Highly recommend this for dining anytime, but truly a special occasion brings out the best in all that Woolley's team does. Thank you so much!
