Woody's Tupelo Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
Went to Tupelo for the weekend to shop and get away for our anniversary. Googled "best steak restaurants" in area and chose Woody's. This was our first visit there. We were very impressed by the service and great food and the atmosphere was cozy - just perfect for our visit. Excellent experience!
Not our first trip to Woody's and not our last. The service was excellent, well paced (not rushed) and friendly. The food was superb! We both had filet's cooked to perfection and all the sides were great. We eat out at least 3 times per week. The quality and taste of the food is the best we've had in months. My wife and I save Woody's for our special dates.
Exactly what I expected. Servers sweet as Southern tea, and pretty good food. No complaints, but nothing was outstanding. Prices are fair, food was as expected, and the ambient music was varied and very good. The place echos and had a crying child in the next room that isn't the restaurant's fault, but once it shut up the atmosphere was much more pleasant.
Though, this could be said of anyplace that echos with a crying child, so...
I recommend if you're in Tupelo, because there isn't much else.
We celebrated our 47th anniversary. We both had the filet mignon and it was exceptional. Sides, service, cocktails and appetizer were also very good. The price was higher than we usually spend for a night out, but the entire experience was great. We'll do it again
It was VERY NOISY but after two tables beside us left it was a lot better-the open window type space between two of the dining areas could use a partition-just my opinion. Only other thing-we all had coupons for buy one entree and get one free but the waitress stated that only 3 people could use it per table-that is not noted on the coupon but needs to be. Food was great!
We have always gotten great tasting food when we dined a Woody's. This visit the food was a little off. Steaks a little tough and the hamburger steak had in flavor. We will try again because we only eat locally owned restaurants.
The service was wonderful!!
At 7pm the first two steaks I requested were sold out. Ended up with shrimp and grits that were so salty I couldn't eat it. Server was interested in talking to co-workers but could care less about service. For the $50 bill I felt like I was robbed. Will never go back.
There isn't much privacy at your table and you almost feel like you are at other patrons tables because of the closeness. The entrees (NY strip & Grilled Chicken) were delicious. The house salad presentation and make up were bland. Overall, it was a good dining experience.
